George stared in the mirror. Like all his reflections, his red fringe dusted the tops of his eyes, obscuring maybe a third of his facial freckles. He turned back to Harry. "I thought you said this mirror was magic?"
"It is. What do you see?"
"It's just me. But it's smiling."
"Wait! It's literally just you being happy?"
"Yeah." George stared harder, and noticed the reflection's ear. "Actually, hold on. I have my ear...."
Then he saw it. The tiny blemish that no one ever bothered to notice. The fishy birthmark right behind the ear. George put a shaking hand against the glass.
"Fred," he breathed.
