"I heard you killed someone."
Wensday arched one eyebrow at Enid and her bleached blond hair dyed faded blue and pink. "Do you want me to double my body count?"
"Was that a threat?" The girl looked torn between being affronted and terrified.
"Oh sweetie. It was a promise."
Wensday flipped one of her signature braids over her shoulder and turned away. "Now leave. Don't get in my way again or you'll see how I always keep my promises."
