Dangerous Nostalgia

"Hey can you check the time?" Sebastian turned to look at the small clock behind him.
"Oh Merlin's Beard it 12 o clock."
"No really." The other man removed his eyes from his paper work to glance at the click aswell. "Where's Fig?" He looked anxious.
He rose up from his seat and paced the floor, one, two, three times.
Sensing the other man's worry, Sebastain spoke. "You think she's in danger?" Sebastian didn't think she was in danger. He didn't believe it were possible to beat the girl, but Thomas knew her better.
"No, no she's fine. It's... she's. Merlin's Beard just come here." Confused and worried Sebastian approached his out stretched arm taking it cautiously in his hand. And suddenly he was being apperated once again. He'd have to find a class once this whole thing was over and he was free. It seemed an awfully convenient skill.

"Be merry my hearts, and call for your quarts, and let no liquor be lacking,
We have gold in store, we purpose to roare, untill we set care a packing.
Then Hostis make haste, and let no time waste, let every man have his due,
To save shooes and trouble, bring in the pots double, for he that made one, made two."

He knew where he was from the smell, burning logs and butterbear. And as he opened his eyes, the warm glow of the fire opened infront of him. And she stood there, arm linked with a stranger, dancing circles around the pub, singing lively and smiling brightly. She had a glass in one hand which sloshed as she span and sang.
"Then Hostesse go fetch us some, for till you do come, we are of all joyes bereaven,
You know what I meane, make haste come again,  for he that made ten, made eleven." She was far from a siren, but something about her voice fit in so well with her environment. She looked beautiful.
Thomas headed towards her immediately, shooting a look of apology to the less then sober gentleman he had to prise of her arm. Sebastian inched ever closer.
"Tommy," She threw herself at the man. "I didn't know you were coming, come let's get you a drink." She began trying to pull the man towards the counter. Thomas didn't budge.
"Why didn't you tell me you were coming here?" He sounded less then impressed, did this happen often? Had he had to drag her from the pub before.
"No, no I have to be here, don't you see."
"Sweetheart. We can't keep..."
"Sebastian!" She ran towards him the moment she had spotted him. Arms outstretched, her eyes glowing. Her hair had fallen from the delicate bun it had been in this morning. For a moment she was herself again. The girl he loved, who he would fight the world for. She wrapped her arms around him, holding him closely like he had always wished she had.
"You came!" She was crying, he wasn't quite sure why. Her calloused hands traced patterns on his shoulders as she continued to hold him. She was cold, incredibly so. She no longer wore her red jacket, it had been discarded somewhere amongst Sirona's drunken patrons.
"I missed you so much." Her voice was slurred, she was very drunk. Sebastian looked up at the man she had left behind l. He couldn't quite decipher the look on his face, but he could tell he wasn't happy. Huphing he turned from the pair and headed towards the bar. To get a drink? No as soon as her approached Sirona let out a sigh. He couldn't make out what was being said but Thomas' face displayed his displeasure silently.
"Wanna know a secret," She had pulled away from him slightly, looking up into his eyes, a cheeky smirk played on her lips. Merlin she would be the death of him. "You can't tell Ominis Seb it's a secret, he'd get mad at me." His heart stopped for a moment. She hadn't called him Seb in a long time. Other then Anne, she was the only person he had ever let use the nickname. He had believed it lost to time. He smiled, although it was the last thing he wanted to do, his head screamed at him to stop but he couldn't help it. She was holding him, mischief in her face. How he'd missed her. He missed this version of her. It is truely a shame she wasn't like this sober.
"I took a portrait from Hogwarts." She whispered none too subtly.
"You did what."
"Shhhhhhhhhhh. Its a secret remember."
"Why would you do that? Where have you been all day?"
"I'm getting the portrait fixed silly." She spoke like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"What portrait?" Worry began to flood his head as he pulled away from her.
She pouted at his retreat. "Of Isidora remember. From feldcroft. I'm going to talk to her." No no she had gone insane, or perhaps he had. But either way thus was a terrible, terrible idea.
"No, you can't do that."
"I can, I'm a keeper now. Merlin's beard Sebastian you're awfully forgetful this evening." He felt like arguing that it was infact her who was the forgetful one this evening, it seems the girl didn't believe her and Sebastian were anything less then best friends. He wasn't sure if he loved it or hated it. She'd betrayed him after all. She had no love for him. And yet when he looked at her messy hair and lopsided smile he could believe that nothing had ever happened.
Thomas approached them not long after, still looking just as annoyed as he had when they arrived it the cosy pub.
"Come on, let's get you home." He grabbed hold of her arm which she immediately pulled away.
"No I want to stay here with my friends. Please Tommy let my stay with Sebastian. I've missed him so much." Thomas looked like he could punch some one. His jaw was harshly clenched, making his already handsome bone structure even harsher.
"He can come too, but we've gotta get you to bed." She smiled and grabbed both boys giggling like a schoolgirl.
And with that Thomas immediately apperated them all back to the girls small bungalow.
"Go put your nightwear on, I'll make us some tea ok." She smiled softly at her. She nodded quickly before running in the direction of her bedroom.
"I'm sorry. I didn't expect this to happen." Thomas threw his hands behind his head resting them on the back of his neck as he walked small circles around the kitchen.
"You alright?" It was all Sebastian could come to ask. He had a million questions but none played well in his favour, given the mans current demeanour.
"She drinks. Far too much. It started awhile back. I just hoped she'd avoid it whilst she was still with you. Go I don't even know how we're going to fix this."
"What do you mean."
"When she drinks she, she. Fuck. All she talks about is you. Waiting for you, missing you, what adventures you'll go on next. It was all delusional of course, until you actually show up. Oh on Merlin's name."
"Oh." Thomas was clearly distressed. And frankly Sebastian was too. He had learnt so much in one three sentences.
"Look I'm going to put her to bed. If you need me send an owl. I'll be at the office." And with that he walked away, leaving Sebastian alone with his thoughts.
