Onto the Train
*September 1st*
You woke up to Midnight snuggling next to you. She must have opened the window last night, you thought. You were going to get up and close the cool air out of your usually perfectly warm room, but that meant disturbing the adorable bundle of feathers huddling against you and your soft blankets. It would have to wait for now you thought. You ended up falling back asleep.
It was the same dream as before. The same garden, the same cottage, the same water, the same everything. You walked further and further into the scene. You saw many flowers and birds. You saw pure and utter glory-you saw everything you wanted. A small place of your own. The perfect waters and gardens, even the cottage-like house sitting on the side was perfect. On the edge of the small opening in the dark forest had a small wooden door on the ground. You opened the door, and crawled into the small hole. It took you up and down over and over again. You finally reached an end, and opened the small wooden door that opens straight up. You peeked through it, and saw a large kitchen you had never seen before. Just as you were about to climb out to explore some more, you woke up from the dream. Narcissa was cooing you awake. “We have to get to the platform, honey,” she said with a smile on her face. You remembered what day it was, and hurriedly got ready.
Everything was packed and at the train station when you said your good-byes to your little 9 year old brother Draco, and your parents. You got onto the train in a compartment all alone, awaiting what adventure awaits you.
Line
“Psst, George!” his excited brother said, trying to wake up the sleeping twin. “What- we have to get on the train!” he said before he quite literally rolled out of bed then got dressed. They raced downstairs and scarfed down breakfast, eager to head to Hogwarts. "Slow down before you choke on it!" Molly said, doing her best to keep the twins alive. After getting her children and their trunks into the Ford Anglia, the family had set off to the station. "I wish that I was going." Ron said solemnly. "Well think of it this way, Fred and George are going away so they can't bother us." Ginny had said, tired of the twins' constant antics. "Hey!" the twins said in unison. "Come along now, before we miss the train," Molly said, trying to keep her children from fighting and to watch more of her children grow up. Percy, being more experienced, had gone through the barrier first. After the twins had given each other a knowing look, they raced in after one another. They saw the grand Steam Engine titled the “Hogwarts Express” that always fascinated them. Now, they had the chance to be on it! They waited until it was almost time for the train to leave for Hogwarts, and after many goodbyes, had gotten their items on the train and looked for a compartment. “No…Full…Definitely not!...” Fred said as he took the lead in finding a compartment. George was following just behind him, when someone bumped into Fred. “Ouch! Are you alright?” the stranger had said. “FIne. You?” Fred replied to the boy with dark skin. “Fine. I’m Lee Jordan, what about you two?” he had asked. “Fred and George Weasley, nice to meet you!” the twins said in unison and extended their arms. “Are you twins? You seem so similar.” Lee remarked while shaking their hands. “Yeah and I’m a minute older!” Fred had said and George sported a look that had Really? written all over it.
When there were almost no more carriages to look through, the three of them stumbled upon a one with only a girl inside who was reading a book. Lee poked his head in and asked “Any room for 3 more?” “I don't see why not. It's just a carriage,” the short girl had replied. George was the last one in, and when he saw her glittering green eyes, Golden-rimmed glasses, platinum blonde(probably dyed) hair, and her high class robes, he realised 2 things.
- She most likely is a Malfoy, and
- She is the prettiest person he has ever met
“Are you going to sit? Or am I just that scary.” the girl had questioned George. Lee and Fred sat opposite of her. “Yeah…” he said in a small voice before sitting next to her, still giving her space. “How about we all introduce ourselves, and say a little bit about ourselves. My name is Celeste Malfoy, and I enjoy sweaters, hot cocoa, nature, and reading. What are your names?” the girl had said. “ Us three already met, but I’ll go first. Lee Jordan, and I really like quidditch.” Lee had said. “I’m Fred Weasley, and I love to pull pranks with my younger brother, George.” Fred had said, “I’m George Wealsey, and I like pulling pranks with my twin, Fred.” George said as he was the last to go. “You two are twins? That’s so cool!” Celeste had said. She thinks I’m cool! “Yeah I’m pretty cool,” George said.
The four of them got into talking some more about quidditch, and numerous different things. You all seemed to be warming up to each other quite quickly, and bonded almost instantly. “What houses do you think you’ll get into?” Lee queried, “I really want to be in Gryffindor, it’s my favorite!” Lee explained. “Gryffindor! No other house could handle all of our awesomeness!” Fred said and George nodded. “What about you Celeste? What house do you think you’ll get into?” George said, turning to you. “Is that even a question? Every member other than some uncle that was disowned had been in Slytherin… Though, I might get away with being a Hufflepuff.” you had responded, sending the carriage into silence. “You mentioned you like nature, what’s your favorite part about it?” George asked, breaking the silence. “I’m not sure…How can something be so beautiful on the outside yet still be so damaged. The natural beauty of it, the simplicity, how it all makes sense, just… All of it. It brings out the happiness that nothing else has for me. Just staring into the stars, watching animals as they grow, or in a field of flowers. It's just…Perfect.” you replied to his question.
After a long ride (and many sweets later), you arrive at Hogwarts. The four of you all got into one of the boats and paddled off towards the enormous castle in the distance. Above you was a star-speckled sky shining over the black waters looming with secrets. You saw everything in awe of this gorgeous place you will reside in for the next seven years. You decided right then that you wanted to find and explore every inch of the castle-like school and all of the hidden places with it too. You made your way with a tall man named Hagrid, and entered the Great Hall for the Sorting ceremony. As they started calling names, butterflies rose in your stomach. A taller girl with light freckles and brown hair and eyes by the name of Ava Brielle was the first called, and was sorted into Gryffindor. As the hat had exclaimed it to the entire hall, the red and gold table erupted with cheers and clapping as did most of the others in the hall besides the Slytherin table. Lee was the first of you four to be called, and was also sorted into Gryffindor. “Celeste Malfoy?” the stern looking witch had said. You felt your stomach flip and your blood run ice-cold as you made your way up to the stool, and the sorting hat was placed upon your head. ”Very kind I see, Brave and loyal, but very witty, and I see some cunning… Well you could fit into any house…” the hat seemed to take forever to decide and 13 minutes later rang out “GRYFFINDOR!”. You couldn't believe what you were hearing. How? How are you in Gryffindor! What will your parents say? So many questions went through your mind in the few seconds of silence and gasps produced from all tables. Lee and the Weasley twins had started clapping for you, and whispers of “A Malfoy? In Gryffindor? I wonder if she’s going to be disowned by her family like that killer was!”. You made your way over to the table. Despite efforts to console you, all attempts failed. Later when Fred and George joined you, you hadn't even noticed they had been sorted yet.
You absent-mindedly picked at your food when it appeared. You weren't hungry like you had been earlier. You didn't even hear the password to Gryffindor tower, you just moved your feet. You went to your room, and just layed on your bed. What are people saying about me? What will my parents say? Will I be disowned? What will it be like? What will Narcissa and Lucius think of me? Will I be treated differently? These and so many more questions burdened you. You looked up and realized it was quite late. You sent a letter to your parents, despite your mind screaming at you not to. You had gotten directions to the owlery from someone on the saw and gave the letter to Midnight. You went back to your dorm, but didn't have the password so you just sat outside until someone had opened the door. "Celeste? Come back inside!" George had said. You went straight to your room, got in bed, and closed the curtains. You laid there awake that night, unable to sleep.
