Intro

It happened again. The same thing that has been happening since you can remember. You fell on the cold ground on your way to dinner. You felt your body relax then tense. You felt your lungs exhale, without an inhale after. You watched a scene play out in your mind. Two people were crying while holding a baby between them, and the next moment one of the two was crying on the floor. Just as your mind started going black, you heard a voice calling your name. “Celeste, you're doing perfect, …” it sounds like Narcissa said. Still tense, your body just slightly relaxed to give you some relief. You sucked in a gasping breath of air, and realized you must have fallen to your side. “You’re doing great sweetie, just breathe,” Narcissa cooed, pulling you into her arms. It grounded your whizzing mind and you went from all black, to stars, to clear vision again. You blinked, now having your senses back. As your breathing evened, Narcissa helped you up. Stumbling at first, she held your arm for support. You both made your way to the large dining room and long table for dinner.

Your mind being filled with questions and suspicions, you hadn't even noticed anyone was saying anything. "Celeste, your father was speaking to you." Narcissa told her daughter across the dinner table. "As I was trying to say, you will be attending Hogwarts this year. The house elf will pick up the supplies from Diagon Alley, and I will have a long conversation how Malfoy's act. Have I made myself clear?" Lucius said, emphasizing on the long and clear. "Yes father." you said and finished your dinner.

After dinner you retreated to your room and finally let your guard down in the slightest bit. The silvery moon was fuller each passing night and tomorrow was the full moon. You felt the pull of your bones, the ache of your joints and ligaments as the moon drew near. Tomorrow you would be brought to the Ministry of magic and put into a small cell down a long hallway with a bed and no windows. Silver lined the only entrance and exit to ensure werewolves could not escape and cause more werewolves to be in society. Your eyes hurt so you took off your glasses and watched the rain fall down the glass door to the balcony outside. It was a stormy night and the clouds covered the stars that Narcissa taught you as a small child. She took longer looking at some than others, and usually skipped some. You changed into your nightgown and went to sleep.

A gorgeous hidden garden flooded your dreams as usual. The small butterflies flying around the waves of colorful flowers, and the chirping of birds that flew above. The sun shining down into the hidden patch of perfection inside of an overgrown and dark forest. The small orange cottage-like structure overseeing a small glittering blue pond of water clear and shining like a thousand gems in the sky. The small fish swam in pure bliss as the miniature waterfall flowed over the rocks around it and sent small ripples across the surface of the water. The small animals drinking the crystalline water and in total harmony. A fox trotted up next to you and urged you to pet it. As you did, it seemed that everything around you faded unlike normal, and you woke up to screaming seemingly from Narcissa. You couldn't make out any words, but you could tell that Lucius was in a rage he usually doesn't calm easily from.

After what felt like forever, the shouting and sound of breaking glass stopped and you cried not knowing what in the name of Merlin could have happened. You did your best not to think of what may have gone on in the room a few doors down from yours, and fell asleep crying.

That morning, you and Draco woke up to Pancakes with bacon, eggs, and toast. You had avoided looking directly at anyone, afraid of what you would see on Lucius's fists, Narcissa, or even the hidden sorrow in Draco's features. You knew better than last time, so you brought a book to pretend to read if you were not talking to anyone. "Good morning Draco, Celeste." Narcissa said, trying to hide her cuts and bruises along with the tremor in her voice. She did horrible as per usual. "Good morning, mother." you said, looking up from your book as not to be disrespectful and to give her a look of chipper comfort. Draco said a simple Hello. Lucius entered late, and said nothing other than a curt "Good day." before leaving.

After you finished breakfast, you went to your room, book in hand. You prepared for tonight's full moon, and packed a bag of your usual healing supplies-really just anything you could do yourself until you can get home for Narcissa to take care of you. You went out onto your balcony despite your body's protests, and took in the late July air. You sat down and simply took in the bustling magic and nature around you, looking for any comfort possible. Later you had checked in on Narcissa, and saw her putting on more makeup over a larger bruise that covered the entire left side of her face and her black eye. After helping her cover it a bit better, you checked in on Draco to see if he needed anything. He was looking at a magazine about Newt Scamander and all sorts of beasts. You could tell that he didn't want you in there, so you left and gave him his desired space. You went back to your room and waited for lunch.

You weren't hungry, as per usual so you skipped lunch and waited until Lucius would come to get you and take you to the Ministry for your transformation. He came a little later than usual which scared you at first, but your nerves died down when he came home in a better mood than when he left. You had always been told you were bitten as a child, but the bite would have stayed there, right? Anyways, Lucius toted you off and signed the usual paperwork that came with it. Your clothes were replaced by a blanket until you got to your cell, and your healing bag was but into the locker room. You waited until the agonizing pain started. The bone-breaking, blood-curdling, limb twisting had started. You woke up sore and wet- that's all you could tell. You didn't know where you were or what made you wet. You were drifting in and out of consciousness by the time the mediwitch had come around to jot down your injuries. She gasped at the sight. You couldn't tell if it was the usual mediwitch or another before you fell out of consciousness yet again.

You woke up at St. Mungo's so it had to be important. You were ridiculously cold, no matter how many blankets were piled on top of you. You looked around the small room and saw nothing but worried faces. "Thank Merlin you're awake!" Narcissa said. Lucius and Draco had been alerted by her words and her sudden movement as she abruptly got up and practically ran to the bed. "How are you feeling dear?" she questioned in a worried tone. Your head was spinning but you could just make out Lucius and his.. face that wasn't straight? Usually his face was void of emotion if not anger. It must be really serious. "Could be better, but I suppose I'm fine." you said just now finding out how raspy your voice was. Probably from the howling. "You had us worried sick! When they told us about your leg-" "Don't stress her darling, she just woke up. Draco, go fetch a nurse." Lucius had cut her off. Draco walked out of sight.

After a minute or so, Draco came back with a mediwitch. “Oh dear, ya gave us a fright there! How are ya feelin', hun?” a chipper tone said. “My head wont stop spinning and I'm cold,” you said. “Alright. Can you move ya fingers for me?” she asked. You moved your fingers one by one. “And how ‘bout ya toes?” You had no problem with your left foot, or your right. “Alright, that’s all I need to know. I’ll confer with my supervisor and Dr.Crontengio should be in soon.” the nurse said and left. Your head was spinning so bad, for now you just want to rest.
