unicorns
It was a warm day in July when a student ran out the front doors of Hogwarts and towards her favourite place in the gardens.
It had been a horrible day full of old tossers that didn't know anything.
"They don't know anything, bunch of tossers, their opinions don't matter, not in the least bit" she stumbled through the gardens as though lost, but she knew where she was going.
She had a hideout here, just in front of the forest, everyone in her year was so afraid of it that they didn't even come five foot of the long winding trees.
She sat and faced towards the darkness.
She'd finally decided to wear a skirt today and got relentlessly teased for it though it was never her own house. Ravenclaw had done their research like the good ravens they are.
It wasn't the hufflepuff's they were way too accepting, her friends finding everything from skirts to dresses for her to wear.
It wasn't the slitherins, surprisingly, no it wasn't any of them.
It was the griffindors. Apparently some of the house in her year wernt too accepting as she thought they'd be.
(So sorry if anyone is in griffindor, it's just that I had to choose a house 😢 don't come at me!)
She sat a cried for about fifteen minutes until a rustle in bushes nearby caught her attention.
Lifting her head she saw a bright white unicorn. It's coat shined in the light almost as much as its horn.
Great another thing to taunt her about her gender.
Laying her head back down, in her hands for a couple of seconds before a head nuzzled into them.
The unicorn had come up to her, laying its head on her lap and gently snoring, she had started to cry again, but this time it was happy tears.
She knew that she was a girl, deep deep down she knew it.
When it surfaced it was pushed down again, but because of people.
Apparently mystical creatures knew what she was truly. A girl.

"We're going to be studying unicorns this week!"
"This is so cool!"
The two friends squealed as they saw a large opening of nothing but stark white unicorns grazing against the grass.
"Shh hagrid if told us to be quiet"
The other nodded silently as they approached the unicorn herd
The first few days were fine, they approached her fine until the third day around and breakfast was turned into a short trip to change from a skirt to pants and a she/they turned to he/they.
The unicorns sensed it too, staying as far away from the pupil along with the other boys as much as possible.
To say that he was thrilled was an understatement, they were bouncing of his mind scape like they were an energetic monkey.
The two friends laughed at this afterwards and they all had a large lunch at the hufflepuff table sharing their stories and experiences, and maybe some previously saved memes.
