a trip to the zoo - wolfstar + baby harry
It was a day like any other, well almost. The sun was shining down on the old tattered cottage of hillbury road, and although it was old it was loved. Sirius groaned as he rolled over, liking the warm blankets much better than the cold spring air. The black haired male had just recently got his hair cut after a lot of complaining "But moony it looks cool this long" Remus had simply sighed and got to work, it was now a simple shoulder length, just like when they were kids.
Harry had come home from nursery and stared at Sirius for a good while before deciding it was none of his business why his paddy cut all his cool hair off, and went to play with his cars.
Sirius smiled at the thought of harry, who was tucked up into bed until one of his parental figures woke him up for a breakfast made for a king: porridge, with honey.
Remus opened his eyes to a bush of dark hair and a hand tracing down his chest, he knew what Sirius was doing, it was his favourite past time when they were sleepy in the morning, tracing his scars. And although he didn't mind it Sirius kept having to ease his thoughts. Remus shivered as Sirius' fingers came to the end of the large one across his chest.
Said Black haired male looked up to see his boyfriends hazel eyes, he loved those eyes almost as much as Remus loved his. They could stare at each other for hours and never get tired of it.
Remus stretched and rolled over, his back on the mattress his eyes staring up at the celling.
"The weather said it would be sunny today, cold but sunny, what do you say we take harry to the zoo?" Sirius looked at him with confusion before Remus telling him what a zoo is. Sometimes Remus forgets that Sirius is Pureblood, full wizard and had nothing to do with muggles growing up. No parks, no swings, no ice cream and no zoo's.
That why Remus likes to take harry to these things as much as possible, because Sirius can play with him too. Usually at parks he takes his Animagus form so it wouldn't look too odd, sometimes he doesn't and helps harry on the equipment.
When they go to national trusts, he loves to chase all the flocks of doves with harry, and scare the lives out of pigeons. Its worse when there's a body of water because Sirius is almost always in it, and purposely shakes off near he two, Harry loves it, Remus not so much.
"Yeah the zoo sounds like a fun idea! ill go make breakfast!" That left Remus to go and get harry up. The mousy brown haired male stretched, feeling a few joints click under the strain. He listened to the house, harry breathing came through as well as Sirius' quiet humming as he prepared porridge.
The smell of magic filled the house as Sirius flicked his wand to heat it up to the right temperature. His boyfriend hated using the microwave, or the oven for that matter, too scared that he would burn himself or set the house on fire.
Even though he could probably do that without turning on the stove.
It was getting closer to the next moon and he could feel his senses heightening, maybe it wasn't such god idea to go to the zoo so close to the moon, but then again Sirius looked so excited. He'll suck it up. no point in suggesting the idea if they aren't going.
Harry seemed to pick up on his mood as soon as he was awake, the younger boy pointed at the calendar in the corner of his room, the date of the full moon circled in messy pink letters.
Remus sighed " I know buddy, but you know moony's gonna be okay. alright? dwi'n dy garu di gymaint" ( so sorry if this is wrong I don't speak welsh, its meant to say I love you so much i just got it off google translate)
Harry giggled at Remus' tongue, he always loved it when his moony would speak his home language, him and Sirius both.
Remus carried the messy haired boy downstairs, making an attempt to get it a little bit neater but to no avail.
As harry was strapped down in his seat a bowl of luke-warm porridge came sliding across the table, a plastic purple spoon stick into it with fruits and cut up strawberries on top.
Another bowl, fairly similar was next to a couple of pieces of toast, four different sections were painted onto the slightly burnt slices. chocolate, marmalade, peanut butter and strawberry jam.
Remus sat down and begun to eat, not long after Sirius came back with tea and coffee, Remus smiled at how thoughtful his boyfriend was. Reaching for the tea and receiving a kiss on the hand instead, the black haired male sat down next to his boyfriend.

Remus smiled as he saw Sirius jumping up and down with harry, humouring him even more. As Remus payed for the tickets Harry had already pulled Sirius halfway towards the entrance. Marvelling at the large map at the start of the trip.
"Alright chwistrell" he said leaning down so harry could hear him more, " where do you want to go first?" Harry thought for a moment as he looked upon the map, his hand under his chin, copying Sirius' funny thinking face.
"All of them!" He eventually said, Remus nodded and picked him up, the mop of black hair bobbing up and down as they walked.
"lets start the tour then" He smiled.

They had been around three quarters of the way round and Remus felt like his ears were bleeding. He didn't know that there would be so many screaming kids, or so many school trips here.
He groaned as he leant against his boyfriends shoulder, having to lean down a large extent but nothing he wasn't used to. Sirius put an arm round the taller males shoulder and rubbed it comfortingly. Harry turned around to show his paddy something when he caught sight of Remus. Harry didn't know the exact reason, but whenever the moon was round and pretty there would be thumps in the night and howling and scratching. Paddy would always come and get him a few days after that and moony would be sick. Harry didn't know exactly what it was, but he knew that Paddy and moony called it the big bad werewolf. Harry never thought that it was bad, but it made moony tired and sick and he didn't want that. So he always had to be gentle to his moony around this time.
Moony would never get angry at him, but sometimes he would get really angry at other things, paddy said not to worry and that he will calm down later. And he does.
Harry walked up to his moony and paddy "Go home?" It sounded more like a request than anything but the two could see past his poor vocabulary and knew he was only asking.
Moony leaned down " No carid don't worry about me okay? you go and have fun, we'll see the penguins next how does that sound?"
Harry nodded and ran off to the penguin exhibit, a large sile on his face.
"We can go home whenever you want to you know, a nice cup of tea and a movie?" Remus nodded, that sounded great but he can make it to the end of the zoo, maybe even get harry a gift from the end shop.
"Ill be fine, lets keep going so we don't loose harry"
Remus was getting tired, the moon was only two days away and his accent was slipping back into his words now. don't get me wrong Sirius love's it, the way that he curls his r's it sent shivers up his back. but he cares a lot about him too.
"What do you think the animals are in for?"
"what?" Remus looked at his boyfriend tiredly as his smile widened.
"What are they in for?" Remus scoffed and pulled his hands down his face, pulling his jumper over his fingers.
"This isn't a prison you know"
Sirius narrowed his eyes "Can they leave?"
Remus thought for a minute as they reached the penguin exhibit, his eyes finding harry in the crowd of small children staring up at the window as an instructor explained how they fed them and wat time and all the rest of zoos keepers do around the zoo.
"No but -"
Sirius cut him off and pointed at one of the penguins walking around the rock that was placed in the middle of the tank.
"I bet that one murdered someone"

It was safe to say that harry had an awesome time at the zoo, so did Sirius, and Remus enjoyed coming home, stretching out on the sofa as Harry put a Disney movie into the DVD player and turned the Tv on.
Sirius brought him a cup of tea as promised and a cup of hot chocolate for harry, not too hot though. He promptly transformed and layed at the bottom of Remus' feet, barely interested in Cinderella, but he got strokes from harry so that was a bonus.
And Remus, after he finished his tea, promptly fell asleep with the comforting weight of Sirius and harry at the other end of the couch.
