The Games
I zoned out picking at my food, Leo was astonishing. Generally, one of the smartest of the seven but people like to portray him as the dumb one. I am glad that Leo is part of our team, we need some hope right about now. At least we have a way to keep them here as a healer tries to bring them back. Magnus or Will, either of them could heal them. Keeps them in their bodies until the healer and fully bring them back. I racked my brain for every possibility.
I was snapped back to reality with someone kissing my shoulder. I looked up to see Will smiling, "Hey sunshine." I greeted him. He leaned down to kiss my cheek but I turned my head to kiss him on the lips.
He laughed and sat next to me, "Hey darling, how's your morning?"
"So far?" he nodded, "Well, I was wondering if I could hang out with Leo for a while."
"Why are you asking for permission?"
I shrugged, "I forget things easily so, If I had already planned something with you I don't want to miss it."
"Don't worry, we didn't plan anything. Although you do have to eat all your food."
I pouted, "But-"
"No buts Mister, eat."
I grumbled, "Fine, but only cause I love you."
He grinned and grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it. "I love you too." I ate the pancakes he put in front of me. He still held on to my hand, I drank my orange juice and let out a burp. I laughed, " 'Scuse me."
"Ready love?" he asked standing up.
"Of course sunshine." I stood up as well and shadow traveled to my classroom. He stumbled and grabbed the wall, letting go of my hand.
"I was not expecting that."
I shrugged, "I had a class to teach, I'm not really feeling it, maybe I should cancel."
"Why would you cancel it, you have to teach today."
"But why?" I whined.
"You have to because I said so."
"What's in it for me?"
He smirked and walked closer to me, I took a step backward every time he took a step forward. My back hit the wall and I looked up at Will. He leaned forward and grabbed my hands, he raised them above my head, he held them up there. I was red as he leaned forward, he kissed my neck softly. He pulled away and smirked, "You get more," he grazed my lips with his, "of this."
I groaned as he let me go, "You're such a tease."
"Well, I won't be if you do your job."
"But I'm not even being paid," I whined.
"They might not be paying you, but I am," he said with a smirk and walking out the door.
I stood stunned for a moment, I racked my brain for today's date, is it someone's birthday? Is it my birthday? It's not Will's, I- I have some uncovering I need to do. I shake off my surprise and walk out of my office door. I saw the kids stare at me and I turned around and walked back into the office. I wanted to make a Gay Suprise Entrance, if I may.
I made the shadows make me seem as if I was downstairs lounging on the chair the entire time. "Now, Nico will be down, and when he is he'll show us exactly what we need to know."
I looked around the room to see Angelos looking quite amused at Wills's theatrics. "What if he doesn't, does that mean we could leave?" Raisin asked.
"No Ras- Ronald, that does not mean you can leave. If he doesn't show up then as Doctor I will take his place and teach you how not to die in the midst of dying."
I grinned and leaned back into the seat, "Why should I teach when you have it under control."
He turned around and glared at me, "Cause children are a pain, I mean they're kind of okay but teenagers are just a bit worse."
"So? Now I have to deal with them," I replied, we bickered until I caught an idea. I slammed the classroom doors shut, the students jumped and I looked around the room for Angelos who was filing her nails. "Shh," I whispered to Will, he glared at me and I gulped, "I mean- uh, I- I'll teach just- um sh?"
"Hmph." Will pouted as he crossed his arms, "Fine, but this better be good?"
"Alright, well um- we're gonna play a game class." Whispers of delight went around the class. I chuckled, "This is going to be more amusing for me than for you. Now, has anyone played jeopardy?"
A few raised their hands, "Muggle-born." A few mumbled, I growled and then played it off as clearing my throat.
"Now, we are going to play Jeopardy, firstly, this is over everything we have learned in this class. Now if your group gets the answer wrong Angelos- is going to steal something of her choice, of yours."
"But that's not how the game goes." A mortal said.
"I know this mor- This isn't the regular jeopardy, we are wizards and demigods after all."
"So what are the rules?" someone said.
I rolled my eyes, "Doesn't anyone raise their hands anymore?" they looked at each other in confusion, "Fine, now, I will separate you into five teams, or you pick your group but- there can only be five groups." I counted the students, "Perfect, five to a group." I waved my hands and they all moved around.
"Good, now, there will be different categories and getting an answer right you get a prize or your item back, lose you get something taken away. there is no way you're getting those back from Angelos on your own, so." I clapped my hands together with my robes swaying behind me. "Time to see who is our last team standing." (You're welcome to play along readers, I won't send Angelos after you.)
"Team Ugly Ducks," Will called out after everyone wrote down their team names. "Pick a category."
"Greek 200." Someone said. I wrote something down, Who was Kronos? "You have thirty seconds..."
They conferred before yelling something out. "The King of the Gods." some boy cried out.
I clicked a buzzer I for some reason had. "WRONG! HAHAHA!" this is fun, "Team Turkeys, you have the chance to steal their points, go!"
They rushed as they tried to come up with something, "The King of the Titans!" they cried.
"YES!" I said ringing a bell I for some reason had again. I looked over at Angelos who was messing with a Scrunchie. "Team Purity, your pick."
"Egyptian 500."
-What was the most cherished animal in Egypt? Who is the god or goddess of this animal?
"You have One Minute- GO!" the timer went off and they spoke quietly amongst themselves as well as the other groups in case this group misses the question. The question is quite easy but people don't know how to listen to our Mythology unit.
"Um- it's Cats and Bast is the goddess." someone said hopefully.
I rang the bell, "Good job," I added points to the board. "Team Yeet, your pick."
"Roman 300."
- how long did the Roman Empire last? What brought its downfall?
Will wrote down the question and I gave them a minute before I called the time.
"Um, 3,000 years?"
"Wrong!" I said hitting the buzzer. "Team Trash, your call."
They conferred before yelling, "2000?"
"Wrong!" Will yelled, "Ugly ducklings, you can try."
"1000?"
"Yes! Why?"
"Um, the - um- damn it what was it?" A girl said rubbing her forehead, "Come one I know this," she paused.
"Ten, nine, eight-" I counted down, "-seven, six-"
"I got it! Germans, Saxons, and um, Jutes," she said happily.
"Yes! Good job Ugly Duck people."
The game went on with people losing and gaining points. More or less, Angelos had a stack of objects I made her return, I had to promise to take her to get Pizza though. I held Will's hand as we laid in bed reading, I postponed my meeting with Leo and Magnus to be with Will. I kissed the back of his hand while in my own world. I placed little kisses going down to his wrist, I looked up at him and kissed his chin. He grinned and looked down at me, "What?" he mumbled in a low voice.
"Nothing, you're just adorable when your reading," I said.
"You're adorable all the time," he said kissing my nose.
I laughed, "I love you." I said.
"I love you too," he said pulling me closer to him. I forgot all about spending time with Leo and Magnus and decided to stay with my- um Will and cuddle.
