Scepter
I finally managed to escape from Will's cuteness, although it was a good time while it lasted. I made my way down to the Shrieking Shack, Angelos walking next to me. "You know, this school would do better with a lot more maiming or something."
"Yeah," I sighed, "I get that."
"Are you well?" she questioned.
"What do you mean? My health is perfect."
"No, I mean are you- what do you mortals say, Okay? Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I just- I'm tired of wars, I'm tired of being the solution of -or the forgotten- in the war."
"You shall not be forgotten by me." she declared, "I would make you my right hand but your father would kill me by sending me to Hera."
I laughed, "Don't worry, Los, I won't let him send you to your demise."
"Thank you, Nico."
"No problem, we're friends. Right?"
"Right," she said proudly. "Now, how's my attire? Is it to goddess-like?"
I chuckled, "Since when do you care about your attire."
"Since I don't want two straight males looking at me," she said holding her scepter gingerly.
We walked in silence for a while. "What does your scepter do? Why do you use it? Does it have attack power? Do you have a card? You should have a card!" I began to get excited.
"Um, what?"
"In mythomagic, every god or goddess has a trading card with certain attack powers. It's like Pokemon but better- trust me, I tried."
"I have no idea what Mythomagic is."
"Well? What does it do?"
"It helps me control the anger and sins of the people or souls. It's very handy."
"Can you use it to change your appearance?"
"No- actually, I've never tried it." she stopped and I slowed down, a little in front of her. "Let us see." she paused and closed her eyes, there was a bright shimmering light and she was now wearing a black shirt with blue skinny jeans and a low necklace with a red sun on it. She wore tennis shoes and her slick black hair was curled and a few strands were braided. Had I been straight I would have thought she was hot, right now she looks pretty.
Of course, many girls are pretty but I don't normally care enough to notice. "Great, you look good."
"Maybe it's a bit much if you care."
I chuckled, "Nah, I mean, you look fine for me, the same as usual. I can't vouch for the others."
"Alright," she sighed, "I guess this will have to do."
I glanced around the forest, this was going to be a long walk. "Hang on," I said holding out my arm.
"What?"
"We're gonna shadow travel, hang on."
"Aren't you a gentleman," she teased.
"I will hold you by your hair." I glared at her.
She laughed and grabbed my arm. "Sure, come on."
The shadows took us in and we traveled rapidly through the shadows to the outside of the building. I smiled and looked at Angelos. "We're here." I declared.
"I see that," she said sarcastically.
I rolled my eyes, "Come on, let's get inside."
We opened the doors and let ourselves in, there were bright orange flickering lights and many, many trinkets. I know that Leo made himself at home here. "Heyo!" Leo yelled coming out of nowhere making Angelos disappear before she killed him.
"Hey, where'd the lady go?" Leo questioned looking around the room.
"You scared her off with your face." I retorted.
He sighed, "I know, sometimes its too much for ladies to handle. Calypso seems to be able to handle it though, man I miss her." he got a faraway look, "I miss my dragon, man... he's a good dragon."
"There are no more dragons, they're all dead," Angelos said showing up behind Leo. Leo nearly burned the place down shooting a fireball. Angelos managed to subside the fire by pointing her scepter to it.
"What? No! My dragon is made out of metal. Festus." He declared proudly.
"That makes more sense." She said in return.
"Alrighty then," I said after a moment of silence, "Wheres Maggie?"
"My name is Magnus!" a voice cried from the other room.
"Only I call him that!" someone else yelled.
"There's someone else here?" I asked.
Leo shrugged, "I have no idea who he is, he just came in with Magnus."
"My name is Alex you twat," he said coming out from the other room, holding hands with Magnus.
"First of all, Ouch. Second of all, this is my house you little-" Leo began.
"Anyway," I interrupted, "This is Angelos."
"Hot," Alex said.
"Great," Angelos said rolling her eyes. "Now I have to see three males Well two and the third half of the time," she mumbled the last part.
"How did you know I was fluid?"
"It's quite obvious, first-" She began before I cut her off as well.
"She's a goddess and you were also female earlier in the year. Is that all? No? Good, now Leo, tell us why we're all here."
"I improved the syrup and I also wanted to know if you wanted to watch a movie."
"Really? Movies?" I said. "What kind of movies?"
"Hmn, I'm feeling Marvel, maybe Guardians of the Galaxy one and two."
I shrugged and looked at Angelos, "Why not." she said.
"Sure," Alex said, "We're in."
"Good, now we'll go see the movie room later. Magic rocks man, I can turn a bathroom into a full-on movie theater."
"Isn't the same thing in like your cabin?"
"No, I think that's apollo with like another floor and a fire pole going through it."
"I have no idea, I was never actually given a tour and Apollo doesn't have that," I said.
"Syrum." Alex interrupted putting his hands on his hips.
"Right, now the soul is stuck in your body like its being anchored to you, two, Magnus will have to be very careful healing someone. One false move and bang they're dead. If we want to prevent more catastrophes from the prophecy you're gonna need to concentrate."
"You got that Jack?" he said looking down at his chest. "No I am not going to let you sing Let it go." he paused, "Because I said so." he looked back up at our confused faces, except Alex who looked amused. "Talking sword you know how they are- one more word and I'll throw you in the ocean," he said sternly. He laughed, "Sorry?"
"Riiight," Leo began, "Now, Will can do this but I know that every time he does it drains his energy and if he goes too far he could die. Now Magnus just passes out for a really long time, as he did after bringing Half- Born back from the dead."
"How did you know that?"
"The gods like to talk, if I turn my radio to a certain frequency It's like tuning into Olimpia radio."
We were all silent for a while taking in the information before Angelos spoke, "What's a movie?"
"Ohhh, we are going to watch All of freaking Marvel now," Leo said flipping out dragging us out of the room. Oh, gods, this is going to be a long night.
