Harry Potter
"Hello mother" Regulus said calmly.
"Regulus I'm glad you're here that early, prepare yourself for the meeting it's starting at ten in in the evening. Be ready."
"Yes mother" She glanced at Regulus and he left to his room.
He was sad, he did not want to be here but at least he knew that James was safe at home.
Regulus spend the entire day getting ready and thinking about all of this. He spend a lot of his time thinking lately. He was not used to think that much before.
Someone knocked on his door. It was either his mother, father or Kreacher.
He really hoped it was Kreacher. He quite missed him.
It was Barty. What was Barty doing here ?
"Hey Reggie !" Barty said and cringed a bit. Regulus let him go inside still very confused.
"What are you doing here ? Is everything fine with your dad ?" Regulus asks but Barty shakes his head.
"Yes- well no but that is never fine, it's not why I'm here"
"Well why are you here ? I'm sorry- I'm busy later"
"Yeah, yeah me too that is what I wanted to tell you- I'm coming too" Barty said and Regulus froze for a second- Barty was about to become death eater. Regulus always knew that this was his plan but now that it's real , it feels too real.
"Are you sure you wanna do it ? I mean you could wait- it's - you have a bunch of time to think about it "
"Oh no I- I already got it " Barty said as he lift his sleeve and showed the mark to Regulus.
Regulus look away as soon as he saw it.
"oh right" Regulus wasn't sure how was he supposed to feel about that.
"I came here to tell you first, I didn't want you to see me there just like that, I wanted to tell you myself" Barty whispered and Regulus nodded.
After that the awkwardness went away and Barty stayed with Regulus the entire time.
They were just talking like nothing in the world was wrong. They were talking about Barty's relationshipwith Evan and about Regulus's desperate love for James.

"The Blacks family welcome, Barty Crouch Junior here you are too, take a seat please " Voldemort started with a cold voice and they sat down next to each other.
When everyone arrived Voldemort stood up.
"Hello everyone I want to welcome here our two new members- Regulus Arcturus Black and Barty Crouch Junior- I will have an assignment for you two" They were all looking at him and they could feel the tense.
"I'm sure you know that here Regulus's brother - Sirius Orion Black - he left to live with that Potter young boy" Regulus's throat went dry but he tried to keep his cold gaze.
"It was told to me that he's romantically involved in relationship with Lily Evans" What the fuck was that ? Why was James the topic of this conversation ?
"Is that true ?" Voldemort turn his head to Regulus and Barty.
"I don't know much about them- they do not interest me but from what I've hearth, yes they are probably in a relationship" Barty said when Regulus was quiet for too long. It was not a secret. Regulus was glad Barty answered instead of him.
"Alright then - well there is a prophecy, some Harry Potter is supposed to defeat me. Ridiculous right ?"
"But my lord - Potter's name is James I believe " Walburga interrupted him.
"You are right indeed- so who is this Harry Potter huh ? Probably child isn't it ? And who's ? I think that you all know who's child it is gonna be right "
Regulus was terrified , James will have a child with Lily and Voldemort will destroy that, their lives, his life..
"Who told you that prophecy my Lord? Is it trustful source ?" One of the guys on Voldemort's side asked.
"sybill trelawney" Voldemort just said.
"Regulus Black- I'm gonna need you to do something for me and Crouch here can help you."
"What is it my Lord ?" Regulus asked casually as it wasn't breaking his hearth.
"I need you to kill them- both Evans and Potter, they'll be dead by the end of this week." Voldemort said and Regulus froze completely, he was not going to do that he knew that he won't do it.
"But my Lord don't you think that it would be better to-" Barty started saying something so Regulus doesn't have to answer right way.
"It's an order" He said.
"Okay, They'll be dead by the end of this week" Regulus said with a completely steady voice.
"Don't hesitate to kill them, he took away your brother. He deserves it. And for the record, if they'll be alive by Monday- you two won't be" Voldemort said and the meeting ended .
Regulus was speechless.
He had no idea what to do.
If he let them live, he would be dead but not just him he would kill Barty by that decision.
If he warned James, he would still get killed and Barty too.
If he killed them, they would be dead.
"Reg?" Barty's voice got him out of his spaced out mind.
"Yeah ?"
"Can I stay tonight? We can talk about all of this."
Regulus nodded.

"I have to war James" Regulus said determined.
"I'm not gonna get myself killed for your Ex boyfriend Regulus" Barty said and Regulus didn't really thought about the fact that Barty has no hero complex toward James obviously.
"I love him Barty- don't talk about him like that, I don't know what to do I figure this out somehow so you can live your life and so can James"
"You love him that is brilliant, Regulus come on I know that it is hard but you don't have to kill them, I can do it instead, he wouldn't do the same for you don't be stupid "
"He would and no, you won't kill them and nor will I, we will think of something else" Regulus said sharply.
"You're making this so fucking difficult." Barty gasped.
"What the fuck is wrong with you ? You would kill them for real ? I mean I thought you liked James too ?"
"I did, that doesn't mean I would die for him Regulus. Don't try to make me look like selfish git, I'd die for Evan I would die for you and for a God's sake I'd die for Pandora or Dorcas but James and his girlfriend? I'm sorry, I just see no use in dying for them. If saving them meant that you two would be living happily ever after, then I would consider it but like that? You wanna watch them having their perfect life without you really Regulus ? Are you that pathetic ?"
"Yes, yes I am that pathetic if it meant that James and Lily will live their happy life"
"Reg-"
"No don't say anything - I'm exhausted I'm gonna go to sleep " Regulus said and he laid into his bed.
"Shall I sleep in the guest room?" Barty asked quietly.
"stay" Regulus whispered and Barty sneaked into Regulus's bed.
They were sleeping in one bed since they were children so it wasn't weird entirely.
Well it kinda was since they are not twelve anymore.
