"James ! You won't believe what Remus just said to me !" Sirius shouted at James when he appeared at the door. Sirius's laugher stopped right when he notice James's red eyes with tears falling down his face.
"What happened ?" Remus asks gently.
"We're done. Me and Regulus. It's done." James whispered and sat on Remus's bed between Sirius and Remus.
"What did he do ?" Sirius asked trying not to ask so many questions but- but he's Sirius after all.
"That’s the problem, nothing happened we just. He said that I don't have to be around him all the time if I don't want to because he noticed how annoyed I was with him which was like true but he didn't want me to go Sirius- he just told me to let him go because he saw that I can't do it anymore that it won't work so we just -- like ended it."
"I'm sorry James" Sirius whispered patting James's shoulder.
"No I'm sorry Sirius - I am so sorry that I left him I know you told me not to and I tried you know I really did and I failed so-so I'm sorry"
"It's okay James- I shouldn't asked you in the first place it was unfair of me- he'll be okay, he's a strong and he will bear all of it even on his own" Sirius said quietly, he couldn't say that he actually believed it because he did not but it was what James needed to hear.
Remus leaned to James for a hug, he could tell James needed one and Sirius hugged them both too.
"What's goin' on ?" Peter entered the room and saw them all hugging on Remus's bed.
"oh- I'll just participate" Peter smiled sadly and hugged them all.
They stayed like that for good few minutes.

"I was the right thing to do " Regulus said.
"But I asked if you are okay Reg" Evan said back and Regulus gave him this 'you're jerk and I hate you ' look.
"I'm fine- will be " Regulus whispered and they haven't really talked about it again.
Regulus was glad for that.
It was honestly overwhelming.
And since that day, James wasn't sitting with him during the meals.
Regulus missed him, but he was okay with the eating.
It was actually so less stressful when he didn't have to put all the effort into some jokes or questions by which he tried to make James talk to him.
James was sitting with Lily at the dinner today, he still looked at Regulus though, he still checked he ate and Regulus always met his eyes when he did, because he was checking on him too.
He seemed sad.
Well of course he is, the guy he had little crush on became death eater what else to say..

"You don't sit with Regulus anymore ? I noticed that you stopped." Lily asked as she sat down.
"We broke up " James whispered not even thinking about what did he just said.
"Oh I did not know you two were together- I'm sorry that you did "
"No we- we weren't together actually it just slipped out, but we don't talk anymore"
"I'm sorry do you want to talk about it ?" she asked with the sweet voice of hers.
"Absolutely not" James said back as she smiled sadly at him .
Regulus didn't want to feel jealous.
But he did.
He hated the thought of Lily replacing his place in James's life… and hearth.

"Barty?" Evan calls for him in their room.
"I'm here" Barty whispers from the bathroom and Evan goes closer to the door.
"Can I come in ?" He asks because he can tell something is -wrong.
"Yeah- "
Evan opened the door and Barty sat there with his sleeve rolled up. There was it. The Mark.
"You got it " Evan whispers. Evan never really thought much about these things.
He knew it wasn't good, no really.
"I got it " Barty nods he seems not to have any regrets about it.
"You wanted it ? I mean your dad wouldn't want you to do it"
"Yeah, yeah he would not " Barty agreed.
"You did it because of him ? You wanted to piss him off ?" Evan laughed desperately trying to figure out in his head what all that is about.
"No, I mean maybe a little too but I just needed to go away and now when I'm one of them, he promised me that I won't work at the ministry as my father so I guess I wanted to "
"Oh I- does Reg knows ?"
"No, he'll know soon though, he wasn't at any of the meetings yet but he'll be"
"I think you should tell him yourself- it's pretty soft spot for him now"
"Do you mind that I -that I got the Mark ?" Barty asked fearfully, he didn't thought how the Mark will affect his relationship with him and Evan but later he realised that it might.
"No" Evan said and Barty smiled.
"Really ?"
"I mean I don't think it's a good thing to do but you had your reasons and sometimes it's good to be on the powerful side, to be safe" Evan said and nodded few times.
"Have you ever consider becoming one of them ?" Barty asked and Evan had to stop at that question and think about it. Did he ? He thought about it surely but was thinking enough to say that he consider it ?
"Maybe but not like really " Evan murmured.
"I used to think about it a lot , I was always dying to talk about it with you but I was- I don't know I guess I was scared that you wouldn't like the idea but I wanted to do it for a while so I just kept it to myself"
"It's fine, I probably would have tried to talk you out of it honestly" Evan said and smiled a little sadly but not disappointed .
"So we're fine? I don't know I kind of expected you to be mad at me about it because of everything that's going on between Reg and James" Barty admitted.
"Well yeah, good that I'm not James then"
They both laughed at the little joke that wasn't even supposed to be that funny but for some reason it was quite funny.
"We're fine, we always are " Evan assured him and they both stared at each other's lips.
"Can I k-"
Evan didn't even let Barty finish the sentence and kissed him.
And just like that they kissed. And all they did for another fifteen minutes was kissing.
Evan liked kissing Barty.
It was something really nice.
Barty knew what Evan was okay with and with what he was not so he never took it too far.
Evan started pulling Barty's t-shirt down and Barty froze for a second.
"What are you - I don't want you to you know - I really don't mind not doing it - we talked about this" Barty whispered between the kisses.
"I am just pulling your t-shirt off dumbass"
"I'm in love with you " Barty whispered quietly, Evan looked a little freaked out and confused.
they never really got to the ' I love you' or 'I'm in love with you' thing .
"Sorry- I mean not- I'm definitely not sorry, you don't have to say it back or anything"
"Oh no fuck I - I am so in love with you I just didn't expect you to say it first " Evan smiled like it was all that mattered.
