couple fighting
Suddenly everything was just fine between James and Regulus.
They agreed not to talk about it. James was kinda scared to touch Reg at all even if it was just a hand.
Sometimes their hands touched and James started to apologise right after, it was in fact driving Regulus crazy.
He didn't truly mind James's touch at all. That night he was fragile and all shaky from the nightmare.
It was a few hours after The quidditch match and Gryffindor won so they were throwing a party.
Regulus was invited too, they all were, Barty, Evan , Pandora.
They enjoyed it actually, parties and stuff.
It felt a bit strange for Regulus and Sirius, they were in the same room just partying like nothing weird is going on between them.
It was good, because since they were both drunk they enjoyed each other's presence. That was the only time everything felt the same.
"How did you do on that Potion's exam ?" Sirius asked already pissed.
"Good, it was quite easy" Regulus replied loudly so he can hear him in the crowd, Regulus was pretty drunk too and so was James.
"Oh of course it was easy for you- you're brilliant, too clever and intelligent to find something hard" Sirius laughed.
"How did you end up ?"
"Oh I did great, I copied it from Moony" Sirius started smiling even more now when he mentioned Remus.
"Lupin?" Regulus asked confused, he did not understand the meaning of these nicknames at all.
"Yeah Remus, we are - we are dating by the way, You probably know I mean everyone knows but I guess I wanted to tell you like that"
"I knew that yeah, are you - is he- is he making you happy ?" Regulus questioned and the question seemed unreal, because he never thought he would be that close to Sirius that he could ask.
"You know sometimes I wake up in the morning and I feel like shit but he's lying beside me and the he gets up and even thought how much I wanted to stay in the bed all day and do nothing and just end it, he's the reason I get up and follow him all day. So yes I think he makes me genuinely happy."
"Don't look at me like that Reggie, you'll find person who will make you feel like that once "
"Yeah I guess so " he whispered hardly noticeable.

"Come on come dance with me Jamie !" Regulus shouted across the room and James came over to him .
" You said that you don't dance " James said, Regulus was really drunk but James didn't even drink so much.
"For you I will" Regulus smiled and grabbed James's hand by his wrist and started dancing with him, James let him lead and danced too.
"Okay pause I can't anymore" Regulus sat beside the wall and James joined him there.
"why are you here with me ?" Regulus asked and looked at James with his glass eyes, dishevelled messy hair and dry lips, he looked like -like a poetry, like a poem- the best one.
"What do you mean ?"
"Why are you here with me when Lily is staring at you across the room, she's clearly waiting for you to come to her " Regulus said but he actually hated that he mentioned it.
"I like being here with you " James whispered and closed his eyes , he was clearly tired.
"Yeah but wouldn't you rather be with her ? I thought you liked her. She's genuinely so pretty " Regulus whispered sadly
"she is indeed " James said almost sleeping
"So what seems to be the problem ? You're shy or what ? " Regulus mocked jokingly
"She's not you " James said quietly
"What ?" Regulus looked at James and then he felt James's head on his shoulder resting there sleepily.
"She isn't you - I wanna be here with you" James whispered looking ready to fall asleep on Regulus's shoulder.
"Okay let's get you to bed " Regulus lift James's head gently and James started laughing.
"Oh so now you're playing the less drunk" They both started laughing.
"I'm the less drunk James"
"No you're not " he said and Regulus fell over straight floor afterwards.
"Okay maybe I'm not " They both laughed again and they ended up in James's room .
"Oh no Regulus - you're not going in my bed with your shoes on " James said but Regulus didn't seem to care.
"What you gonna do ? Kill me James ?"
"Yeah probably" James teased and he took his own shoes off.
"You wouldn't kill me because I would kill you first. I'm really good with daggers " Regulus smiled and James lied next to Regulus on his bed .
"Oh that would be amazing way to die, at least I'd be happy it was you I was killed by " James said sounding almost serious.
"Not funny" Regulus whispered sleepily.
"Not joking " James added and Regulus didn't say anything after he just smiled slightly
"Can I hold you ? I'm cold " Regulus says suddenly, he didn't plan to say it out loud but his drunk mind couldn't help it.
"I mean yeah you can but I can give you blanket if you want " James suggest but Regulus curls up right next to him.
"No I'm fine " Regulus whispered and fall asleep holding James tightly.

Regulus woke up first this time and he felt very good despite how much he drank yesterday.
James's head was resting on his stomach and James's hand were hugging his waist. It was kinda cute the way James hold him.
Regulus just lied back down and let James sleep. He woke up after few minutes though.
"Shit sorry" He lift his head immediately.
"It's okay James I didn't -"
"No I'm sorry I was drunk I didn't meant to make you feel uncomfortable or just fall asleep like that- I don't really remember how did I -"
"I didn't mind- James it- it wasn't uncomfortable " Regulus assured him with soft gentle voice.
"well I still should have asked or-"
"No I actually kind of suggested it and you don't have to apologise for everything you do -do you understand what I'm trying to say ?" Regulus asked and looked at James he was so purely kind and sweet but these apologies were driving him insane, no one ever treated him the way James did so it was new to him, weird.
"I don't think I do " he said with apologetic little smile.
"I don't want you to feel like you can't touch me James, I'm not made of fragile glass. What happened the night was - I was just little-you know the nightmare ,it took me out of guard but normally you can do all the things you would normally do with anybody else, you don't have to apologise for them"
"Okay" James said quietly thinking about it.
"okay?"
"Anything I would do with anybody else ?" James asked and Regulus nodded little unsurely.
"yeah" he said and suddenly he felt James's lips on his own and god it was so amazing but also it scared him a little. He wanted to back up in the first two second but then he just let it go and he happened to be completely lost in James's mouth.
The thing is, what Regulus just said wasn't entirely true, he did felt uncomfortable in some situations and it wasn't just caused by the nightmare about Lucius, it helped a lot but it wasn't.
Weirdly kissing was on the list of things Regulus found uncomfortable, somehow the knowing that he was kissing James Potter made him feel safe instead of unsure and scared, it made him feel really good instead of uncomfortable and unpleasant, kissing James was so easy and enjoyable, there was no stress or anxiety with it.
James stopped after a while and Regulus looked at him shocked.
"I'm sorry. I wasn't supposed to do that. Was I ? I should have asked I'm sorry-"
"No it's fine, oh god just stop apologising- I'm just - just shocked and surprised I did not expected that "
"You didn't ? I wanted to do this for a while now but I - I was scared and you know "
"Why did you kiss me James?" Regulus asked curiously.
"Did you know that group of flamingos is called flamboyance ?" James panicked a little bit and Regulus giggled a bit even though he tried to keep his serious gaze.
"James " Regulus was still smiling through the serious face.
"I don't know -I just felt like it was right thing to do - I just felt like I want to kiss you so I did"
"Okay" Regulus whispered
"Okay?" James repeated and turned it into question
"Okay"
"I'll go now, the party was great " Regulus smiled and James looked at him and then Regulus stood beside the door frame and they stared at each other.
"What do you want a goodbye kiss ?" James teased and Regulus laughed.
"Oh god shut up I was just thinking " Regulus laughed shyly hiding his face in his palms.
"about me I suppose" James joked again, it felt so incredibly good, the kiss wasn't weird it was even more good and friendly between them .
"No I- homework god , you're awful fuck you " Regulus shouted already on his face and Sirius was just heading to the dorm.
"Oh god what did you to do to each other this time ?" Sirius asks and James giggles.
"You know couple fighting " James joked and Sirius gave him serious look.
"Just joking Pads"
"You better be joking James Potter "
