„I respect his decision“ Albus said to Timothy. „and i don’t wanna sound selfish or anything, but to be honest…lately…i‘m horny twenty for seven“ he said
He laughed loudly. „well, you need to wait. If he’s not ready, he’s not ready, you can’t change that“
„I know“ he said and let himself fall into his bed. „a few days ago, I was about to say I love him“ he said quietly. „But I couldn’t“
„Why not?“
„It’s seems early and I don’t know how he feels“ he said. Keep staring at the ceiling. „And…I don’t want to make him feel uncomfortable“
„Albus-„
„No, hear me out. I told Scorpius I already had sex with a guy, so he knows that it won’t be my first time. It will be his first time tho, and if I were him, I would be uncomfortable and anxious“ he said. „What if he’ll forces himself to do it? I don’t want that“
„this is such a complicated situation and I think you should talk to Eudora about it. She’s great with stuff like that“
Albus smirked. „Oh is she?“
Timothy‘s smile faded away from his face. „No, I mean-You can talk to her about that-not that’s she’s great with-you know-I sure don’t know“ he stuttered the words Albus was dying out of laugher.

This whole thing with Scorpius not being ready gives Albus bad anxiety. Every time he did it with Jake, he was scared that he secretly judges him for his body—like he might be disgusted. He never said anything tho But Every time Albus looks in the mirror, he feels disgusting. All the scars on his arm doesn’t make it better. He just doesn’t like how he looks, what if Scorpius also secretly doesn’t like Albus Body and that’s why he doesn’t want to sleep with him?
Today is the last day before Christmas break, which also means tonight is the Yule ball. Albus thinks it’s lame, just some stupid ball were people dance even tho they‘re crap at it. But it’s also kind of exiting because the great hall would be decorated in beautiful Christmas lights and everyone will look amazing. Great timing for telling Scorpius how Albus feels.
They never said it to each other, but they knew.
Albus fell in love with his soul before he could even touch his skin. And hopefully this will be the night they tell their love to each other. Because they‘re both so in love, people might call it unhealthy.
They spend every day, every time together without getting annoyed from each other.
But what they don’t know is, it was always like that since they met.

„in the Yule ball, there is a traditional dance where the chosen once of the triwizard tournament have to do an opening dance. This year it will be a little different“ their house teacher Professor Steli said. „This time everyone will do an opening dance. I‘ll show you the choreography and you‘ll dance with a partner“
Albus gaze went immediately to Scorpius who already had a smirk on his face. Everyone choose a partner and waited til the Professor started with an other professor who teaches the lesson runes.
Scorpius put his hand on the other boys waist and Albus felt an electric feeling going through his body. The music started and they all did what the professors did. Albus never really knew how to dance—but Scorpius was a natural. He knew exactly where to put his feet and how move—he was perfect in every kind of way.
Albus on the other hand, stepped multiple times on Scorpius’ feet and kept apologise while Scorpius just laughed.
„I‘m so sorry, babe, I have two left feet’s“ he said and Scorpius smile bridged on his face. „How are you doing this?“
„I‘m a pureblood, I leaned how to ball dance since I’m Five years old“ he said and turned Albus around which made both laugh. „It’s not that hard, just move your feet exactly like mine and it will be okay“
So Albus did and it was much easier that way. He decided to pull Scorpius closer to his body and lade his head on his shoulder.
The love he felt for that boy was unbelievable. He never knew he would feel like this for his best friend, but when he thinks about it—he always loved him, he just never noticed it.
„You‘re doing great“ Scorpius whispered in his ear which gave him goosebumps

That’s all Albus wanted to say in that moment.

The great hall almost seemed magical—as usual, but this time was different. It was shining and you could feel the warm magic around it.
And Scorpius was even more beautiful, Albus couldn’t keep his eyes from him. They didn’t feel any shame form holding hands anymore, people also didn’t care.
„You two look adorable“ Eudora’s said as she walked towards them. She was wearing a light blue glittery dress.
„Wheres your date?“ Scorpius asked as he looked around and saw she’s alone.
„Or, who’s your date?“
„Timothy“ she said. The boys looked at each other with confused gazes. „As friends-we‘re going ad friends“
„Yea, we do too“ Albus said.
„I mean it, it’s all platonic“ she said and smiled slightly. „There’s never going to happen anything between us“
„I was there too“ Scorpius said and Albus laughed. „but look where we are now“
The night was wonderful. They danced, laughed, drank, they haven’t said the L word yet.
Alcohol was not allowed there but they managed to bring some vodka and mixed it with the other drinks. As they walked down the hall back to their dorms at the end of the night, all they did was laughing
„Like you wouldn’t“ Albus said and laughed „Honestly, I don’t understand how someone can do that“
„A moment of weakness—I haven’t done it since“ Albus said
„Why would you pick up a half smoked cigarette on the floor…and smoke it!“
„Moment of weakness, I said what I said“
„I‘m never gonna kiss you again“ he laughed
„Yea you will“ he took his hand and kissed it—Scorpius blushed
The halls were empty and it was just them—alone
„Scorpius…I-„ just say it, I not that hard. „I-„
„Scorpius“ Mcgonagall almost ran down the hall. „I was looking for you everywhere, it’s very important“ she said
„What is it, Professor?“
„It’s about your father“ you could see Scorpius gaze changed into fear. „He had an accident at work, he’s in St.Mungos right know“
„What happened?“ Albus asked because it seemed like Scorpius entire life went through his eyes
„He was hit by a unknown curse, I don’t know anything about his health at the moment, but you should go now“
Scorpius grabbed his boyfriends hand even harder and had tears in his eyes. He didn’t say anything—his words got stuck in his throat and he was about to get sick

„good morning“ he seemed a lot more happy then he did two days ago when he got the message about his dad

„Better, he’s coming home tomorrow, he can’t go back to work tho, he’s still pretty weak“ he explained. „I‘m about to visit him, the healers said the curse was not that strong to do a lot damage, but they‘re afraid he can’t keep doing his job in the ministry“
„Yea, my dad told me the same thing“ he said. „I‘m just glad he’s okay“
„me too“ Albus was the first one in his house to wake up, so he was alone in the kitchen making himself breakfast „Scor, there’s something I want to tell you“ telling him over the phone seems not enough, he wanted to tell him two days ago at the Yule ball, but then—that happened. „Well-„
„Hey Albus“ his father came into the kitchen
„What‘re you wanna tell me?“ Scorpius asked again
„I-„ he looked at his father who was about to make coffee. „I‘ll tell you soon“ he said. „Bye, Scor“
„What are you gonna tell him soon?“ his father asked when he hung up
„Nothin‘“
„Didn’t seemed like it“ he said.
Albus looked at him with a weird gaze. He knows his father hates Scorpius. „I was gonna tell him that I love him“ he said. „But why am I telling you this? You don’t even like him“
„I like him“ there was a tone of lie in his voice. „And—I’m happy for you“
Albus raised an eyebrow. „Really?“ he asked. „You don’t have to pretend, dad, i don’t care about your opinion“
„That’s—okay“ he just said and sipped on his coffee. „How‘s Draco?“
„better, he’s going home tomorrow“
„It’s almost a shame he can’t keep his job, he needs to look for something else“ he said. „Actually he‘s rich, why is he working?“
„Maybe he‘s bored“ „If I were rich, I’ll never be bored, I just pay people to entertain me“ he said and Albus almost laughed.
When Harry was about to leave the kitchen, he stopped. „And, don’t tell Scorpius you love him over the phone, do it at least in person“
Albus nicked, and that’s when he knew his father finally excepts the fact that his son is deeply in love with his enemies son
