Chapter 19
The rain of may hit Scorpius when he runs to his class with madam Pomfrey. He needed to speak to his father like every day for the past six months.
He’s doing a lot better then he did before. Walking still seems pretty hard for him and he still needs to rest a little more. He also can’t keep his old job in the ministry and needs to find something else, something he doesn’t have to do a lot of hard work.
Scorpius ran completely wet into the hospital wing for his class. „Sorry that I’m late, it’s just-„
„It’s okay Scorpius, sit down“ she said in a soft voice which showed him she’s not mad. „We were just discussing about Werwolf scars, do you know something about it?“
„Well, you can’t heal them properly, it will always stay a big scar. That’s why it’s so easy to figure out who is one“
Ands that how the whole class goes. The year is almost over and Scorpius doesn’t know if Madam Pomfrey is going to keep doing this next year which makes him really sad.
When all the students left after class, Pomfrey still wanted to talk to Scorpius. „I really think yo would be an great healer, Malfoy“ she said with pride. „and I did something I think would make you very happy“ she said and looked for something in her office. When she came back she brought a already opened letter and gave it to him. „I wrote to the Marie-Angle-healer School in New York“
Scorpius heart stopped beating for a second. „What?“ he asked and it almost sound like there’s so air left in his lungs
„I told them about you, and they said it would be a pleasure for them to have you as a student“ she said. „You can already apply for next year, so when you‘re done with your seventh year here you can immediately start there“
„I-I don’t know what to say“ he got his voice back. „I mean, it was always my dream to go there, but-I can’t leave my dad alone“
„I see, but I think your dad would be unbelievably proud of you“ she said. „And he only want what’s best for you, Scorpius“ she placed her hand on the boys shoulder. „And you are basically already accepted“
Scorpius thought for a second it was a dream. „may I think about it?“
„Take all the time you need, this is a hard decision you‘re making“
When Scorpius left the hospital wing, the fist thing he wanted to do is tell his boyfriend—but as he was walking, something popped up in his mind
If he accepts, he‘s not only leaving his dad—but he’s leaving Albus too
After they first told their love for each other—things got more intense between them It was the end of the Christmas holidays and they just got back to Hogwarts
„I‘m just glad your dad is alright“ he said as he packed out his stuff
„Me too, my godmother Pansy and her wife are taking care of him while I’m here“ he said.
„That’s good“ he said quietly and Scorpius could feel his gaze on him. „Scor…“ The room went quiet and they just looked at each other—that moment, Scorpius couldn’t keep it to himself anymore.
„I love you“ he said
Albus stoped. „No“
„What?“
„I was about to say it first“ he said and Scorpius smiled bright. „I love you“ Albus said
„I said it first“
„Shut up“ and Albus kissed his boyfriend intense
Thinking about leaving him is a weird feeling—after being in love with Albus Potter for years and being his best friend even longer—leaving him seemed impossible to do
It would be the right thing to tell him—but Scorpius is not an expert in that field, so he’s looking for Eudora and asking for her opinion But of course, when he’s needing her—he can’t find her. Scorpius walked through the whole castle and there was no sign of Eudora so he assumed she was in the library
As he was looking through the shelf’s, he found her—but her head was covered from Timothy’s and they were busy eating their faces of form each other. In shook, Scorpius stood there without moving—that’s an odd thing to see in the library, especially these two.
„Am I interrupting?“ he asked quiet loudly
They jumped away from each other like they just got caught by the police while doing drugs. „Scorpius!“ Eudora‘s voice was higher pitched and louder than she thought. „what the hell?“
„I wish I could asked what the hell is going on, but there’s something I really need to talk about with you“ he said
He took her by her hand and walked somewhere without any people near. „Scor, you‘re acting really weird, what’s going on?“ she asked as they sit down in a corner of the library
„Long story short, Madam Pomfrey wrote a letter to the Marie-Angle-Healer school in New York which is literally my dream school, and they would accept me immediately if I agree“ he said
„My god, Scor, that’s amazing! Do you agree?“ she asked more exciting than he was
„I don’t know…what about my dad, I can’t leave him, he would be all alone“ he said. „And I don’t wanna leave Albus“
„Your dad is a grown man, he will survive, and if Albus really loves you he would be happy for you“ she said. „This is your dream, Scor, don’t ruin it“ she placed her hand on his knee. „And besides, we still have a year left, who knows what’s gonna happen there“
„Yea…you‘re right, we still have time“ he said. „So, what was that all about, huh? Just friends?“
Her cheeks got bright red. „We may have been very close since the Yule ball“
„Since the Yule ball? That was six months ago“ he said. „And you haven’t told me? That hurts“
„You didn’t told me about you and Albus right away either!“ she said. „We‘re even now, Dumbass“

It only took two beeps when his father answered the phone and Scorpius could explain his situation.
„Scorpius, that’s great“ he said. „I don’t see a problem there“
He exhaled loudly. „New York is far away and—I don’t wanna leave you alone“ his voice was quiet and the wind brushed through his hair and made it more messy then it already is. „And I don't wanna leave Albus too“
There was a long pause on the other line of the phone call. „I understand“ he finally said. „But you can’t choose to stay here because of him. I think Albus only wants the best for you“
„I know, but dad-„
„You always wanted to move back there, I know you‘re unhappy here. When Albus is the reason you‘re not following your dream then I think he’s not good for you“ Scorpius didn’t say anything to that. „Besides, you‘re young, you will meet a lot of new people when it’s over between you two, and maybe with a lot of luck you will find each other again“
„I don’t want to break up with him“ he said. „I never even though about doing it, I-dad I can’t imagine a life without him“ It was quiet again.
„I felt the same about your mother“ he said. „I met her when I was eighteen, we were friends for a while but—I was always kinda in love with her, and I never wanted to think about how it would be to live without her, seemed impossible to do so. That’s when I knew she’s the one I want to spent the rest of my life with“
Scorpius smiled and his eyes were burning with tears. „You think Albus is the one for me?“
„I‘m not sure, you should know that by yourself“ he said. „But don’t let his feelings change your decision“

It was past midnight when Scorpius returned to the dormitory. Albus was sitting on his bed with a book.
Scorpius laughed quietly. „You can read?“
he asked „What’s that suppose to mean?“ Albus asked. His hair was so long or poked out his eyes. „This book is depressing, I love it“
„It’s just very odd seeing you like that“ he said and changed to his pyjamas. „Albus, there’s something we need to talk about“ he said and sat in front of his boyfriend
Albus closed the book. „What is it?“
It took him a few seconds to get his words in order. „Well—you know I love you, right?“
Albus stoped breathing. „Are you breaking up with me?“
„Oh god no!“ he said and took his hand immediately. „No, of course not. It’s just…would you ever not do something that you always dreamed about because of someone else’s feelings?“ he asked
„Is that an hypothetical question?“
„…yes“
„okay, well, if it’s something I always dreamed about than I think the other person should be supportive, doesn’t matter what it is“ he said. „It’s my life, not theirs, and if they don‘t support me that I don’t think I want them in my life“
Scorpius nicked slowly to every word he said. „Okay…you‘re right“
„Now, what’s this really about?“ he asked Scorpius was not ready to tell him, even when he knows he’s gonna be supportive.
He just kissed him intense. He moved his hands from his cheeks to his neck down his back until He suddenly was above him.
The tension between the boys got intense with every breathtaking second. Their lips are moving in every direction and Scorpius could hear Albus heartbeat getting faster
Until Scorpius stopped. „Is everything okay?“ Albus asked when he saw the fear in his eyes
„It’s not your fault I’m not ready for that“ he said. Albus sat back up with Scorpius still in his lap.
„I don’t understand?“ he said confused
„I know you think the reason I don’t want to have sex with you is you“ he said. „But that’s not true, i‘m just—not ready yet“
Albus nicked. „Okay“ he said. „I’m not gonna do anything you‘re uncomfortable with“
Scorpius placed his hands on Albus head and felt his fluffy hair and played with it. „I might have another idea“
Albus looked confused, but when Scorpius got down to his pants, he knew what he’s about to do. „Scorpius you don’t have to-„
„But I want“ he said
Albus felt everything—he focused on every movement Scorpius hands did and could feel the warm temperature of his mouth. He breathed loudly and almost got embarrassed for how much he’s enjoying it. He placed his hands on Scorpius hair and when he finished—he though he’s seeing stars

„So, we need to talk to you guys“ Eudora said as she and Timothy sat down in the great hall. „Scorpius already knows a bit“
„I know everything“ he said and winked at Timothy
„What do you know about?“
„We‘re dating“ Timothy said Albus look shocked between all of his friends.
„And you haven’t told me?“ he asked Scorpius. „I can’t believe you—and you two! What was all the everything‘s platonic? What happened to that?“
„Are you mad?“ Eudora asked
„No I’m just hurt that Scorpius haven’t told me“
„Not my job to tell you“ he said. „But it’s not a big deal, we haven’t told them about is right away either“
Albus rolled his eyes and Scorpius gave him a kiss on the cheeks to cheer him up, which worked perfectly
„We need to go to class, you guys“ Timothy said and they stood up. „I don’t want to get another detention from Professor Field because I’m late again“
„Actually, there’s something I need to do, I’ll be right back“ and Scorpius start running
He almost kicked the door to the Hospital wing open and Pomfrey almost got an heart attack.
„Scorpius, dear god, why are you in such a rush?“
„I‘ll accept“
