Chapter 15
It ringed multiple times until it hung up. Albus keeps calling James but he won’t answer.
Its the middle of the night in the end of October and he needs to talk to his brother right now. The last months was like a blur to him—he can’t talk to Scorpius about stuff anymore. It’s been hard—and the silence in the dormitory when they’re both inside is hell. He just wants to be with him.
He went slowly back to the castle. He thinks about talking to Lily instead, he thinks Timothy is exhausted from his drama so he won’t bother him anymore—Eudora thinks the same probably

„Albus, move the table faster to the wall, we don’t have much time“ Andrea said to him
„I‘m trying“ he placed the table on the right side of the common room. „am I done now?“
„Of course not, the party starts in 3 hours, the alcohol is not here yet and it seems like I’m the only one actually doing something“ she said. „There you are Malfoy!“ Scorpius came down the stairs and looked like he wanted to go back where he came from. „Can you help a little?“
„I‘m sorry, i‘m meeting my dad in Hogsmeat“ he said—he didn’t even looked at Albus. He hasn’t done that in a while
„you—are you kidding me?“ she walked off and left the two boys alone
„You‘re meeting your dad?“
„Yep“ he left—left him alone like nothing ever happened between them. Like they haven’t made out the whole summer and like there was no feelings between them anymore
Halloween always seemed like a funny day for Albus—besides the fact that his grandparents died that day and his dad became 'the boy who lived'. He thought its a funny day.
But this year seems different—without Scorpius this day feels like a normal day without any fun
He sat on the table he just moved to the wall and watched the others building everything up. He noticed that a girl starred at him—she seemed young, Albus thinks she’s in third or fourth year. He tried to look away but couldn’t ignore the fact that she’s walking up to him
„I have a question“ she said and Albus just looked at her in confusion—he‘s not a very extrovert person. „Aren’t you dating Scorpius Malfoy?“ she asked
„no“ he said. „Why are you asking?“
„Well, everyone saw it on the daily prophet and I saw him walking in the hallway with Ryan Hayes“
„Who’s that?“
„He’s a sixth year Ravenclaw guy who recently came out as bisexual. And in my eyes, it seemed like Scorpius and him were very close“ she said. „I just wanted to tell you that because I didn’t know if you guys were together or not, and if you were it’s better you know. I was cheated on once and it broke me, just wanted to let you know“ and she walked off

He bumped his head multiple times into the wall. „why am I so stupid, honestly, how did I let this happen“
„If you keep going like this you‘re gonna lose your head“ Lily said from Albus‘ bed in his dorm. „and I’m thinking that myself, how could you be so stupid“
„I hate this, I really do“ he said. He leaned against the wall and slowly slides down. „I‘m not allowed to be jealous, he’s not even mine“
„do you want him to be yours?“
He bumped his head one last time against the wall. „I really like him…and I want to be with him“ he said slowly. „But its all so fucking complicated. I‘m not ready to be out“
„You’re already out to the whole wizarding world, Albus. Besides, has anyone ever bullied you or made fun of you because of that?“
„…no“
„Of course not! Because, no offence, no one cares“ she said. „You‘re the one making a big deal out of it when it really isn’t. You like him, he likes you, where is the problem? And don’t say you don’t wanna lose him, you already did, and it’s not gonna Chancen unless you do something about it“ Lily‘s words were turning Albus head around—because she was right.
Albus and Scorpius are barely talking to each other anymore. And if he won’t do something about it right now then it might never happen something between them again.

„Timi! Timothy!“ he said running through the corridors. „I need you“ he said and bumped against his friend
„Hello to you too“ he said. „What do you want now?“
„I think I should come out“
„You‘re already out, mate“
„You know what I mean!“ he said and they kept walking to their next class. „Tonight is the Halloween party in the common room right?“ Timothy nods. „I wanna tell Scorpius that I’m ready now“
„It only took you a lot of time“ he said and laughed.
As they‘re walking through the corner—Timothy stands still and turns Albus around so he looks at the opposite direction. „Okay, you may not like this“
„What?“
„As your friend i wanna tell you something—but as Scorpius friend too I shouldn’t“
„What are you talking about?“ he looked around the corner they were just about to walk by and saw Scorpius talking to a boy from Ravenclaw. „Who‘s that?“
„That’s, well, is it really that important?“
„Timothy“
He exhaled. „That’s Ryan Hayes“ he said and Albus holds his breath hoping it not real
That boy is the completely opposite of Albus. He’s tall, has blond hair and blue eyes—he’s standing like fucking Prince Charming against the wall and talking—laughing with his lover
„He’s…so hot“ he said frustrated. „a girl told me that she saw Scorpius with him“ he focused his eyes on them. „Are they together“
„I don’t think so“ Timothy leaned against the wall besides Albus. „Scorpius would‘ve told at least Eudora“
„And you think Eudora would tell you?“
„I don’t know, maybe“ he tried to hide his smirk. „We’ve been close for a while now“ he said—but Albus didn’t even heard him, he was too busy spying on his best friend
Scorpius started laughing about something Ryan said. Albus hasn’t saw him being so happy for a long time and it gave him a terrible pain in his heart

When Albus came to the common room, the Tables were filled will all sorts of Alcohol and colourful lights filled the common room. Albus wore a white shirt with a Gloriole he stole form Eudora.
Music was already on but the party hasn’t really started yet—normally the common room is filled with people by the end of the night, but right now it’s still too early. Albus looked around for Scorpius—he was staying near the music boxes with Eudora who wore a black dress with two braids.
Albus breath one last time and went to them „Hey you guys“ he said and Scorpius immediately went his gaze to the floor. „Who are you suppose to be?“
„Black Wednesday Addams“ Eudora said. „Is this my gloriole form last year?“
„Yes, you gave them to be, remember?“
„No“
„Me either“ he said. „Scorpius, can I talk to you?“ The Malfoy tried not to look directly in his eyes and nodded.
They went to their dormitory. When Albus closed the door behind him he noticed that Scorpius is wearing a pride flag like a cape. „That’s really brave of you“ Albus said and pointed on the flag
„Thanks“ he said. „What do you wanna talk about?“ He exhaled and sat down on the bed.
„I‘m sorry“
„Don’t be“ he said. „I know what happened was pretty messed up but you shouldn’t apologise for that“
„No, I’m apologising because I’m a pussy“ he said and Scorpius seemed confused. „It shouldn’t be a big deal for me to come out, because it’s not. I‘m just stupid because I thought people would see me different and have another reason to be shitty to me. But I realise now that it really doesn’t matter and—Scorpius I wanna be with you“ his words were echoing through the room and it seemed like Scorpius stopped breathing
„Albus, I told you I don’t wanna be your secret“
„I don’t want that too. I want everybody to see that your mine“ he said. „Scorpius, this summer was one of the best I ever had because of you“ he stood up and was standing in front of him. „You‘re my favourite person and I wanna be with you“ Scorpius cheeks turned light pink and he tried so hard to hide his smile. „I don’t care what everybody thinks anymore“
Now he couldn’t hide it anymore. „Are you sure?“ he asked. „Because it’s okay if you‘re not, I waited for years to be with you I will keep waiting if you‘re not ready“
Albus took the boys head and kissed him lightly—Albus missed the taste of Scorpius lips on his and and it felt like they haven’t done that for years. Scorpius pulled him closer and Albus let out a satisfying noise. Albus went his hands through Scorpius’ hair—then down to his neck while Scorpius hand were placed on his waist up to his back.
Their body’s were so close together not even a piece of paper would fit between them. Their kiss got more intense, they were using their tongues now and slowly walked to the nearest bed. Scorpius heart started racing—not in a good way
Albus lade above him and Scorpius tried to relax by moving his hands up and down the other boys body—until Albus stopped „You okay?“ he asked out of breath
„Yea, I‘m good“ Scorpius said and wanted to kiss him again but Albus refused „We should stop“ he said.
„But why?“
„Because I see you feel uncomfortable and I won’t do anything that makes you feel like that“ he said and sat down beside him. „It’s too early anyway“
„Albus, believe me, I’m not uncomfortable, it’s just—I’ve never done that“
„Well—I did“ he said. „I know how it is. I was scared too for the first time so I know how you feel“
„you already did?“ he asked. „With who?“
„A muggle from my neighbourhood…we weren’t together if that’s what you think—it just happened“
„You never told me“
„I haven’t told anyone“ Scorpius nodded slowly.
„You weren’t together?“
„No“
„Are we?“ he asked. And Albus felt like his whole world that collapsed months ago grew back together.
„We‘re together“ he said and smiled bright. „You‘re mine“ he said and kissed the boy again
„so you‘re my boyfriend“ Scorpius said and laughed
„I‘m your boyfriend“ he repeated and kissed him again
