Looking good, feelin' fresh
Ginger looked at Sprout, noting how his weird shaped head looked. He had a weird never ending uncanny smile, which was sort of charming.
“You look nice..”, Ginger said.
Sprout looked away, as his face turned slightly black-ish and his heart races, he feels warm. Even though they're in the cold unfeeling elevator.
“I... Thanks?”, Sprout said.
Ginger smiled, acting like she hadn't said a thing. She probably didn't see what was wrong with Sprout's reaction.
The elevator, absolute complete Slilance. The type between two strangers in a bus next to each other, which is a good description since they literally only know each other for a few hours.
Most of that time spent together, was with a mediator like Cosmo Or they just weren't alone in general.
Ginger considered to start up a conversation, she had given him a compliment earlier so it shouldn't be too hard.
Sprout was tugging on his scarf, as he tries to set his mind off the fact that he's alone with someone that isn't Cosmo.
Now he thinks about it, he hasn't made any friends other than Cosmo. Maybe that's why they're both social wrecks. Ginger speaks up.
“In the garden view.. What do you usually do?”, Ginger asked.
Sprout thought for awhile with that question, he usually baked or hangs out with Cosmo or the other mains.
“I just bake, what about you..?”, Sprout asked.
“I just came here”, Ginger said.
Sprout completely forgot about that, that Ginger is still a new toon. Other than the initial baking for the cake, she haven't done anything.
“Oh.. Yeah, I forgot”, Sprout said.
Ginger giggled at Sprout's slight forgetfulness. She usually has a very good memory, patience and whatnot. She was made to counter balance Cosmo, to be the opposite of him.
She was quiet and reserved, Cosmo is energetic and enthusiastic if you know him well, although he's very impatient. With the attention span of a gold fish.
“I think baking is nice actually..”, Ginger said.
“It is! We can bake later”, Sprout said.
“That'll be nice, thank you Sprout. That was your name right?”, Ginger asked.
“Yeah it is..”, Sprout said.
Some more awkward silence between the two, just occasionally staring and smiles.
With Bobbete, in the Christmas shop
Bobbete was behind her desk, she knew Christmas is not nearly over but will end eventually. Just a few more weeks, days or minutes, she doesn't want to leave garden view.
She looked at the picture on her desk, a picture of a certain flower, when they first met and starred in that skiing movie.
Astro kept losing control of his skis, and Bobbete had to help him until he got better. For some reason Dandy was instantly good from the get go.
She smiles at that memory, which makes her almost forget what will happen once Christmas is over.
“I'll really miss all of them..”, Bobbete said.
Bobbete takes one ornament from her tip jar as she gets a sharpie and writes in it, she wrote 'Dandy' on it as she stared longingly at it, imagining how much she'll miss him.
She realized what she was doing, and how pathetic it was. As she tried to remove the sharpie, to no avail. She just keeps it back into the tip jar.
“What am I even doing?”, Bobbete asked herself.
She remembered the early days, when she was the first Christmas toon. She was so happy, just to be locked in the gardenview's lowest floors.
The next Christmas she was brought back, again and again until they added a new Christmas toon. Coal, coal was her loyal dog.
The pattern repeated, and repeated. Next came Ruddie, then at last this Christmas is Ginger. Bobbete would have to warn Ginger of where they would go after Christmas end, and to not have any friendships because you will be gone for a year.
Bobbete thought she was a hypocrite, about to warn Ginger not to make friends yet Bobbete herself had fallen in love. She could only see him during Christmas
“I... I hate Christmas”, Bobbete said.
