Years into the Future
The Potters had decided it was best if they, along with Sirius, Remus, and Lily, were the only people who knew Athanasia, hence they Obliviated everyone who met her and kept her hidden, Athanasia doesn’t like it but they had to.
The reason why Death Eaters wanted her was because Voldemort felt her magic. It was stronger than his, and he wants it for himself or her gone. As admirable as Dumbledore is, they couldn’t trust him with Athanasia’s existence.
Years had passed and Athanasia had grown into a beautiful young woman, with her powers growing stronger every day. She had spent most of her life hidden away, but she had never felt alone. The Potters had become like a second family to her, and she had grown close to Sirius, Remus, and Lily as well. They had taught her everything they knew about magic and had even helped her develop some of her own unique abilities.
One day, James Potter approached Athanasia with a nervous smile on his face. "Athanasia," he said, "I've been thinking a lot lately, and I've come to realize that I can't imagine my life without you in it. I love you more than anything, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"
Athanasia was taken aback by James's sudden proposal, but she couldn't help the way her heart fluttered at his words. She had always had a special bond with James, and over the years, she had come to see him as more than just a friend. "Yes," she whispered, a smile spreading across her face. "I'll marry you."
The Potters were overjoyed when they heard the news. They had always seen Athanasia as a daughter, and they couldn't be happier that she was going to marry their son. They threw a huge engagement party, inviting all of their closest friends and family members to celebrate the happy couple.
As the wedding planning began, Athanasia couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. She had never dreamed of having a big wedding, but the Potters insisted on it, wanting to make up for all the years that they had kept her hidden away. Athanasia was grateful for their kindness, but she couldn't help feeling like an imposter. She had spent most of her life in hiding, and she didn't know how to be a proper bride.
Lily noticed Athanasia's unease and took her under her wing. She helped her pick out the perfect dress, gave her advice on flowers and decorations, and even helped her write her vows. "You don't have to be anyone other than yourself," Lily said, putting a comforting arm around Athanasia's shoulder. "James loves you for who you are, and that's all that matters."
As the wedding day approached, Athanasia's nerves began to settle. She knew that she was making the right choice in marrying James, and she couldn't wait to start their life together. The day of the wedding was a blur of activity, with hair and makeup artists, photographers, and caterers bustling around the Potter home. Athanasia felt like a princess, with all eyes on her as she walked down the aisle to meet James.
The ceremony was beautiful, with Athanasia and James exchanging heartfelt vows in front of their loved ones. Athanasia's powers were on full display, with flower petals floating in the air around her and tiny sparks of magic glittering in her hair. The Potters had spared no expense, with the reception featuring a live band, an open bar, and a five-course meal. Athanasia danced the night away with James, feeling like the luckiest woman in the world.
As the night wore on, Athanasia found herself growing tired. She had used a lot of magic that day, and it was starting to take its toll on her. James noticed her exhaustion and pulled her aside for a moment of quiet. "Are you okay?" he asked, concern etched on his face.
Athanasia nodded, but James could see the fatigue in her eyes. "Let's go home," he said, taking her hand. "We can have our own private celebration."
Athanasia smiled, feeling grateful for James's understanding. They said their goodbyes to the guests and made their way to a secluded area in the garden. James conjured a blanket and they lay down, watching the stars twinkle above them. "I love you," he whispered, stroking her hair.
"I love you too," Athanasia replied, snuggling closer to him. She felt safe and content in his arms, knowing that she had found her forever.
