As She Grows
Bella had grown and aged as much as she could given the abuse, malnutrition, and broken bone would allow but she stayed true to herself; having now reached the age of eight Bella had gone from simple magic and just transforming little bits of her body to being able to cast spells like Lumos and its counter spell Nox with just pure intent not needing to say, whisper or even think the name of the spell to use it.
Having had enough of the abuse Bella decided that it was time to use a bit of a higher level spell to make her uncle, aunt and cousin fear her enough to at least treat her properly and leave her alone otherwise, she had grown sick of only being able to read at school and wanted to be able to go anywhere to read without being punished for being smarter than "poor sweet Dudikins". Honestly her family acting like that was a fair bit nauseating to her and she hated that he got treated like a saint when he came home from beating the living hell out of her with his little gang, she was through acting like she wasn't stronger than him anyways.
Bella had learned how to take care of her poor abused body by exercising and healing some of her wounds so she wouldn't get a life threatening infection but she knew she would have to go to Madam Pomfrey and taken to St. Mungo's. Bella hated hospitals but she knew that she had to do this to get transferred to at least a magical blood relative and to get her body fixed to a point she wouldn't feel a storm approaching long before it actually rolled in. She honestly would have run away by now if she didn't know that Dumbles had a locator spell on her till she was eleven, honestly that man was more hot air then the hot air that came off of uncle Vernon when he was beating her for looking "too feminine".
Bella had her plan on how to save her friends and what would come to be her family, she hoped she would meet her cousin Tonks who was a fellow metamorph if she didn't end up living with them as they are at least blood related to her partially. Bella had begun to change her body over the years so that she was as she wanted to look for her current age and by doing these changes early she would get to grow like the other girls instead of like the boys like her so called family and the rest of the world expected from the oh so great "Harry Potter".
Her name is and has been Bella Donna Evans named after the naming tradition that the Evans had for their daughters she just didn't have the magical strength in her core just yet to call on magic to change it while leaving the books and stuff with that name behind so she could just be seen as herself. Currently Bella had her hair in her usual royal purple but with a streak of bubble gum pink under her hair so she wouldn't take another beating over having something so "girly" in her hair; she hated hair cuts and loved her little bob haircut that reminded her of Hermione.
She looked forward to meeting her friend again and possibly seeing if they might end up as more this go around compared to the last one where she lost her to Ron of all people. Bella was a lot more pessimistic and well gray like her core but she preferred this soft optimism compared to her old personality that lead her to being a child soldier that lost everything and everyone she had loved, this time would be different this time she knew where all the Horcruxes were and how to get rid of them without having to die or lose most of her money.
Turns out goblins absolute despise Soul magic like Horcruxes and would destroy it for her, wish she knew that before the break in and her getting banned but that would be her method this time around also she was hiring a private tutor till "professor" Quarrel was taken care of. In the meantime she would continue to train her body and magic, she should be able to call on magic for her name by her next birthday at the least it gave her something to look forward to before Hogwarts.
