Beheading the Demon Pt. 2
G.I.Robot broke the doors down, gesturing for Bride and Medusa to enter first.
"Mechanical yet such a gentleman." Medusa commented, then as the team descended down a long flight of stairs, Medusa decided to pry, "So, you and Fish girl, huh?"
"Her name's Nina and you'll keep your sunglasses on when near her at all times, or I'll gouge those pretty peepers out to solve your whole 'turn people to stone by looking at them!" Bride basically threatened. Medusa was unaffected by it.
"I'm not planning on doing anything to her," Medusa confirmed, "I'm just glad you finally found someone." Bride's eyes softened as she thought of Nina.
"She's the best thing to ever come into my life," Bride said, "I keep wondering why she ever fell in love with me....."
"Quite obvious really," Medusa responded, "you're the baddest bitch of all time with a hidden soft center. And, as long as folks look past the gruesome stitches, your quite a looker."
"One, fuck you, two.....thanks," Bride responded, Medusa actually easing her worries. Soon they arrived what everyone can only assume is the bottom. That was when they all saw the source of Ra's Al Ghul's immortality.
The Lazarus Pit, it's eerie green glow made it almost seem like something straight from Hell.
"Ever seen a Lazarus Pit before?" Bride asked Medusa.
"Not one this big." Medusa confessed as her immortality, she seen many things, including various Lazarus Pits, but this one, was the biggest she's ever seen, "No wonder this is his stronghold....."
As if on cue, Ra's Al Ghul himself stepped out of the shadows, like a demon from the darkness, and stood in front of the Lazarus Pit.
"I see my disciples were no match for your team," Ra's notices Medusa, "Considering the fact you withheld a final member......"
"Yeah, it was so secret, even we didn't know." Bride responded in sarcasm, "I am curious, though, why did you seek me for an alternative from the Pits?"
Ra's closed his eyes solemnly for a simple split second.
"For over 600 years, I have used the Lazarus Pits to restore my age. Everytime I died, passed away, or became sick, the Lazarus Pits always restored me," Ra's explained.
"But then something happened?" Humanite decided to ask.
"Precisely," Ra's confirmed, "the more I used the Pit, the shorter the effects last. But like Bane's Venom, I am addicted to the Pits.......if I don't restore myself as soon as the effects wear off, I become more deranged and unpredictable. I suppose this is the end of the League of Shadows.......we failed in our mission.....if that's the case."
Before any of them can react, Ra's was on them in less than a second and slicing Humanite's atomizer. G.I.Robot blocked Ra's strike towards him, only to end up being sent flying. Medusa attempted to remove her glasses, only for Ra's to kick her right in the face.
Bride was the last and fired her pistols, forcing the Demon's Head to block with his sword before he sliced them to pieces. Instead of being helpless, Bride raised her fists in a boxing stance, punching at Ra's who skillfully dodged and backflipped away from her and her team.
Humanite and Bride lost their weapons, Medusa's nose was bleeding, and G.I.Robot's arms were dented, they needed to make a plan.
"I understand this man lived over 600 years," Humanite said, "but I thought he was still a human....."
"The Lazarus Pits enhances your strength, the madness is a side effect." Medusa explained, "Yet, there's no way it would make him that strong."
It's when it hits Bride!
"This Pit isn't like the others, is it?"
"Observant," Ra's complimented, "yes, this Lazarus Pit isn't like the others. In fact, this Pit enhances me even greater than the other ones do."
Ra's was on them again, cutting one of G.I.Robot's hydraulics in his leg before sweeping Medusa's legs and striking Humanite's solar plexus. Bride took advantage of the situation and grabbed the hydraulic pipe and sprayed the hot steam in Ra's Al Ghul's face, causing him to cover his face with his sword.
G.I. then backhanded the Demon's Head, sending him flying. Medusa didn't try to use her eyes since Ra's eyesight was temporarily damaged, so both Medusa and Bride double teamed him, overwhelming him.
Medusa soon disarmed Ra's of his sword and Bride soon peppered the Demon's Head with nonstop boxing techniques. Soon, Ra's interrupted their assault by push-kicking Bride away from him and then flowed his kick and kicked Medusa in the face, again.
"Did you all forget that I was the one who taught the Detective everything he knows." Ra's stated, his face covered in bruises and his eye was swelled up, and he was breathing heavily, but he still stood tall and strong, "I refuse to fall, so you cannot defeat me so easily."
"Yet," Bride responded, "look how fucked up you are, you won't last much longer....."
Ra's raised his sword in another stance, ready to attack. Humanite then spotted his ruined atomizer and had an idea.
"Bride," Humanite whispered, "get him near my damaged atomizer. It should be unstable enough to take him out."
"I've heard worse ideas....." Bride responded, "G.I., focus on throwing shit, Humanite, Medusa, with me!"
"G.I.Robot is happy to assist!" G.I. stated as he grabbed a large boulder and chucked it at Ra's, who dodged.
Soon, he was ganged up on by the three mobile members. He swung his sword tk slice Medusa's eyes, only for her to lean back and avoid the blade. Bride then grabbed his sword arm, where Humanite followed up with a straight punch, which Ra's barely blocked with his free arm. He was sent flying until he hit the cave walls......near the damaged atomizer!
Ra's barely raised up til he fell back to his knees, and barely registered when Medusa stared right in his face, instantly turning him to stone.
"Alright......blow that statue so no one brings him back!" Bride orders, which Humanite pressed a button on his harness which overloaded the Atomizer.
"I advise we run, the explosion will be massive." Humanite stated, which he then helps G.I.Robot limp out.
They all ran out as fast as they could, as the Atomizer overheated. When they barely made it to the exit, they were all blown away by the explosion.
The rest of the team who waited uptop all had surprised faces. Nina ran to them and helped Bride up first.
"Now, which of us is the one whose in danger, the one who stinks at fighting or the one who rushes into dangerous situations?" Nina asked her girlfriend in a snarky tone. Her snark disappeared when Bride planted a kiss on her lips, stunning her.
"It's whoever gets easily snuck up on with a kiss." Bride responded, which both soon started laughing. Their laughter died when Flagg approached.
"The Pit?" Flagg asked.
"Destroyed." Bride answered.
"And Ra's?"
"Hopefully, even he couldn't survive that.....but I wouldn't be too hopeful." Bride faced Ra's a few times and his tenacity rivaled Erik's stalking, least Ra's was more respectable, "Can we go home now? I'm freezing my tits off."
"Next time, dress warmly," Flagg responded, "Anyway, alright team, pack up and let's get the hell outta here!"

Deep in the woods, a collapsed cave rumbled.........until a massive, patch-work arm bursted out!
