Bring the Demon's Head
The Commandos were gathered in the meeting room after Waller gave the order to gather. Bride still hated her, she may have had a hand in resurrecting Nina, but Waller was still the biggest bitch, besides Erik, she ever knew.
The team at the room was Flagg, Bride, Nina, G.I.Robot, Grundy, Phosphorus, Humanite, and Khalis.
"All right, Creature Commandos, this mission is different from some gangster who learned magic tricks." Waller debriefed the team, "This time, you'll be going against the League of Shadows....."
Everyone's eyes widened at the information.....except Grundy and Nina. Grundy was an idiot and Nina never heard of the League of Shadows before.
She raised her hand to politely ask.
"Yes Nina?" Waller said, acknowledging Nina.
"Ummm, who exactly are the League of Shadows?"
Waller rolled her eyes as she pressed a button on a switch, which soon pictures of several well-known and infamous people:
- Bane, the Man who Broke the Bat
- Onomatopoeia
- Cheshire
- The Shade
- Lady Shiva
- Copperhead
"These six, some most of who you know, other you don't. They are the deadliest assassins, and they all answer to the Head of the Demon, Ra's Al Ghul." Waller explains.
The center screen pops up a face Nina has never seen before. A balding man with a strange, two strand beard, sunken, blue eyes, and green robes.
"I've met him before, never learned his name." Bride states.
"As have I...." Khalis adds, "he appears the same as he did 300 years ago."
"Wait, what? But......how?" Nina asked, was he cursed, did he inject himself with a serum.....
"Ra's uses ancient waters known only as the Lazarus Pit." The screen shows a lake of an eerie, green glow, "It has the power to restore someone to perfect health, with the cost of insanity." The screen now shows Ra's bursting out of the Pit with a face of madness.
Nina backed up til she was shoulder to shoulder to Bride, who immediately grabbed her hand to calm Nina.
"Ra's and the League of Shadows are eco-terrorists, they've threatened America and the rest of the world. Batman and the Justice League have defeated them multiple times, but because of their morals, they can't do what must be done." Everyone figures out what Waller is saying.
"Meaning, you want us to kill am ancient master assassin whose completely insane?" Flagg asked.
"Indeed, Ra's stronghold is in the mountains of Nepal." Waller pressed another button and the screen showed a gold temple, where groups of intense fighters train with traditional and modern weaponry, "Your mission; kill the Head of the Demon once and for all."
"You want us to attack the stronghold of the oldest assassin alive who has threatened the Earth multiple times?" Bride asked, not letting go of Nina's hand.
"No, I want you to kill Ra's and end his organization once and for all. Destroy his Lazarus Pit so he can't heal." Waller instructed.
"And any assassins surviving?" Flagg asked, he hated to needlessly kill, but if means keeping the state safe, he'll do what's necessary.
"If they surrender, arrest them, if they resist, kill them." Waller said in her usual emotionless tone, "So that's your mission, take down the League of Shadows."
