Blood and Water
The Bride was not much for socializing.......actually she just hated people in general. She was able to tolerate all the other prisoners as long as they kept their distance, something she always preferred......until recently. Until the team was formed.......until she met....her...
After their first mission, the Creature Commandos went on countless missions together. Sometimes she was the leader, other times it was a newly healed Rick Flagg. Though the Bride would never admit it, she had great respect for the man.
The members of the team were always random.......but the Bride was fond of three particular members
1) Doctor Phophserus, though his sarcasm usually annoyed her, she enjoyed his company. They actually started sharing info about their lives. Though they never said it out loud......they both missed a particular person.
2) G.I. Robot, while his constant asking if there were any Nazi's was infuriating at first, Bride learned to get used to it and even how to correctly phrase her words so he would help the team better......unlike Phopherus, G.I. was plenty loud about how much he missed.....her.....
3) The Weasel, the Bride never really pictured having any kind of pet. They were never allowed in Belle Reeve......but he comes close to one.
The four of them became close.....not friends really, more of a family. Any time any other prisoners or new member tried to flirt with Bride or tried to be rebellious, one or two of the three will put them in line. She trusted them, cared for them......but she only loved one person.......and she was gone.....
"Bride? Yo Bride, yoohoo!" Bride turned her annoyed face towards Phopherus, who was waving his hand in front of her face.
"What?" Bride asked in her usual, irritated tone. They all knew she doesn't mean to be......it's just who she is....
*sighs*"I miss her too......." Phophserus admitted, knowing exactly who Bride was thinking about.
"*Friend Nina was truly a good one.....I wish we could've killed more Nazi's with her....*" G.I. admitted, never really been known to hide his thoughts and feelings. While Bride will admit, his new upgrades made him far more useful, she was glad he had a smaller body which he could exit his mini-mech body.....pretty sure Bride would've hated needing to make room at their personal table.
Weasel whimpered......Bride knowing he was also missing......Nina....
Nina.......even thinking about her name brought sadness. She was the only person the four of them knew who treated them......well like they weren't monsters. She was the heart of their team, the glue that held them together.
Bride constantly blamed herself......if she didn't send Nina to kill that royal bitch......it brought Bride no satisfaction or closure killing the princess. In all honesty, she never really blamed the bitch......she blamed herself.
She gave Nina the knife, she told her how to use it, gave her encouragement......sent her to die.
Nina was the kindest, most pure hearted soul Bride ever met. She was the first real friend Bride ever made.....maybe so much more......sadly, they would never know.....
"Attention to all prisoners, will The Bride walk near the restricted doors at once!" The announcements went off.
Bride rolled her eyes......another mission.....another headache.
Bride rose from her seat......followed by the other three. They always did, it made her know that no matter what, they had her back.
When they reached the doors, the guards held their rifles forward, ready to shoot the three who weren't called.
"Good luck, Bride....." Phophserus said as he and the other two stayed behind.
"*If any of them are Nazi's, I'd be glad to kill them alongside you!*" G.I. Robot assured Bride, which she took as his way to tell her they're all there for her.
Weasel simply wagged his tail.
Yeah, these guys were freaks and monsters.......but they were her freaks and monsters.
"C'mon, get moving, freak!" As soon as the loud mouth guard yelled, Bride didn't hesitate to punch the guy in face and render him unconscious.
"I'd mind my manners to the lady, boys!" Phophserus yelled.
"*Humor towards an abusive guard who paid the price for his arrogance.....very humorous!*" G.I. Robot exclaimed with what the group was able to tell was his smile. Weasel wagged his tail, obvious happy Bride took one of those guards out.
None of them saw it, but Bride smiled at their encouragement. Her smile vanished as soon as she saw the only person in existence she hated just as much as her piece of shit stalker, Amanda Waller.
"Bride, thank you for accepting my invitation. " Waller said, her face the usual annoying neutral state Bride just plain hated.
The arrogance, the heartlessness......all thing Bride hated, she hated Waller for.
"Spare me.....what do you want."
Bride could almost swear she saw that heartless woman actually......smile?
"Straight to the point, one of the many reasons you're always my first choice for my squad." Bride always hated it when Waller said squad, as if she went on those missions, risked her life, fought by her comrades sides, was actually in the shit like the rest of them, "Now come with me.....I have something to show you."
