Prologue
Albus Severus Potter may look exactly like his father physically but his mind, the way it worked, was completely different from anyone else in his family. He thought about things that “good” people wouldn’t even think nor imagine about. He knew things that he shouldn’t know. Albus was…special. Harry Potter, his father, of course knew this but he saw it as a good thing. “It’s good to finally have someone that will and is introducing new things to this family.” He would say when someone asked him about how he felt about his second son being different from the rest. Ginny Weasley or rather Potter would accept the point of view that her husband had on her little boy, even if she thought the very opposite of it. She knew Albus was special just like everyone else did, but she didn’t like the type of special that her son was. It scared her.
Albus had never been the chatty type. He would always sit away from the rest and read big, old books that were meant to be for older people. Albus gained ruthless and cruel nicknames from his family because of it. Freak, Weirdo, The Black Sheep, Useless. He would not listen to any of it, he wouldn’t take any of it either. He took revenge on those who mistreated him in the dark, while everyone was asleep. He wouldn’t kill them nor hurt them badly. No, he wasn’t old enough for it, he would have to wait until he got his Hogwarts letter to finally have some real fun.
One day Victoire, one of his older cousins, woke up with big pimples all over her face. What a tragedy really, Victoire really loved her face and “beauty”.
Then it was Rose's turn, she was annoying, always screaming at Albus and telling him what’s wrong and what’s right…Albus felt peace come back to him when she couldn’t talk for two whole weeks in summer.
Then James, oh that stupid boy who Albus didn’t dare call older brother. Shame he didn’t break open his head when he “fell” downstairs.
Then it was Molly, and Lily, Fred, Teddy, Lucy, Dominique…all of them, even the adults. They all pay when they hurt him.
Albus didn’t smile, he didn’t have a reason to. He hated his family and he didn’t have any friends, no one deserved his smile. Except for when he turned eleven and finally got his Hogwarts letter. He was happy, a small smile on his face, finally he could get his hands on his wand and do big and amazing things with it. It was bad that underage wizards and witches weren’t allowed to use magic out of school, still it wasn’t as if he couldn’t do magic without it. He knew very well how to control his magic and how to do magic without a wand. He must admit that going to platform 9 ¾ with his annoying older brother and little sister wasn’t the best experience ever but again, he had lived with them his whole life so he was used to it already.
James could be really annoying sometimes, especially when he repeated himself like a broken muggle disk. While Albus couldn’t and didn’t give a damn about which Hogwarts house he was going to be, his family seemed to be obsessed with it. Gryffindor, please those stupid colors burned his eyes. Yes, he loved the color red but not the tone of red that that stupid house had. Slytherin sounded like a much better one. Besides, he would love to see his family reaction if he was sorted into the snakes house.
He didn’t want to sit in the same compartment as his stupid family so as soon as the train started moving he left. He searched for at least ten minutes until he saw a compartment with only a blonde boy sitting inside of it. He pushed the door open and greeted the boy before asking for a seat, in his mind he was hoping that the boy wasn’t obsessed with his family and his fame. The boy presented himself with a big smile on his face. Albus had chuckled when the boy stuttered and mixed his words out of nervousness.
Scorpius Malfoy was his name. A sweet, shy, and excited boy who always seemed to see the good side of things. He was the complete opposite of Albus and still they became best friends. Scorpius was the only person who understood Albus and Albus was the only person who understood Scorpius. They only needed each other.
Albus always seemed to feel like throwing up when he was around Scorpius but he was sure that it wasn’t because of a bad reason. When he asked his father about it he got a whole explanation and the story of love which was, to say the least, disgusting. Even if he believed his father was right it only lasted a couple of months until he noticed that it was something beyond love. A fifteen year boy in love, how more stupid can that sound? He wasn’t in love with Scorpius, he could never be. Though he believed, no, he was sure that Scorpius indeed was in love with him. He never said anything about it though, he knew Scorpius and he would not push his best friend to do something he wouldn’t like.
Scorpius’ sleeping face was…pleasant to look at. Albus loved to caress his soft and pale cheek while the boy slept. The raven haired boy was more than sure that Scorpius knew that Albus loved to sleep with him and to watch him until he himself got tired enough to fall asleep. Albus considered himself to be the same person as people described him to be. Creepy, scary, a monster. Still, he wouldn’t give more than a fuck about any of it. Scorpius was by his side and that’s the only thing he needed. And Scorpius only needed him.
Yes, Scorpius only needed him. And maybe that was the reason why Albus was on his knees in front of the blonde boy. Blood dripped down his cheeks and hands, while he looked up at Scorpius like he was some type of god. He licked the blood from his lips and answered Scorpius' question with a low and hoarse voice.
“For you.” He paused, “I did this for you Scorpius. I love you, can’t you see it?” He said with a sickening smile on his face. Scorpius kneeled down in front of him without saying anything. Albus expected him to slap him across his face, to scream at him but none of it came. Instead Scorpius looked at him like he was the most beautiful and important being on the earth.
Soft lips crashed harshly against his out of nowhere making him gasp in surprise. The kids continued for a couple of seconds before Scorpius broke it with a smile on his now blood-tainted lips. “Thank you, Moon.” He whispered before kissing Albus on the lips again.
Oh, how Albus loved Scorpius and the little insanity that he had left. That little insanity that he was about to take without a second thought.
