Hope Will Never Die
As Armin joined the battlefield, he quickly noticed the revenant Jaws Titan about to kill his friend Mikasa. He quickly went to help his friend as the Jaws Titan brandished its claws to cut his friend down. Mikasa was too caught in blocking the portal, and did not notice the attack. However, she had to worry about none, as the superior lantern blocked the attack.
“You do not impress me...”, Green Guardian said as he stopped the sharp claws of the Jaws Titan with green aura. The green aura then changed into an energy net, dissolving the right arm of the Jaws Titan. Armin quickly floated in front of the revenant titan and kicked it away, much to everyone’s amazement. The green lantern wanted to attack the revenant, but he was interrupted by a child’s voice calling for help. As the hero he was, Green Guardian went to the location, to find a boy with a gushing wound on his chest, by the claws of the Jaws Titan.
“Please! Help him! You are the protector Reiner told me about! I beg you!”, Gabi pleaded. Armin was not the one to ignore pleas from an innocent child who had nothing to do with the destruction of his home.
“You are losing too much blood. This is gonna hurt, a lot”, the green lantern said as his eyes glowed in green as they unleashed an optic blast. Falco moaned in pain as his wound were closed by the solid vision. Gabi saw Falco’s wound close in awe, and gratitude.
“Thank you...”, the girl said.
“I just protect innocent lives. It is my job”, Armin said as he turned his attention back to the battlefield. The Female Titan was about to scream. The green lantern felt how painful the titan’s sonic scream was. He quickly summoned ear plugs on everyone to prevent them from hurting their ears, as well as his own. The Female Titan screamed. Due to the enhanced ability, the scream was able to draw Oni demons’ attraction as well. The Oni demons dropped their hostages and went to the Female Titan, to devour her. However, the Colossal Titan was quick to provide cover and swung its burning arms, crisping the Oni demons. The Jaws Titan watched this in dismay, as failure wasn’t an option for him.
“No!”, revenant Marcel roared in fury as his titan tried to attack Green Guardian once again. However, Wonder Girl was there to fight with him. The superheroes dodged the claws of the Jaws Titan once again. Green Guardian noticed the hostages falling from the sky, and was quick to surround them all in a green aura and teleport them on the ground to safety. Wonder Girl snapped her gauntlets and unleashed a shock wave against the Jaws Titan, sending the revenant away. This allowed Armin to hover up toward the portal toward Netherrealm. The green lantern quickly summoned a mini Mogo to blast the portal, which the lil planet did right away.
Quan Chi and Shinnok felt the Netherrealm ground shake tremendously as the Green Guardian’s lil Mogo blasted the floor. Quan Chi watched in fear as the lil planet blasted him away. Shinnok was enraged by this.
“Quan Chi! You fool! You opened the portal for too long and the protector noticed us! Close it immediately! We cannot waste any troops for our second invasion!”, Shinnok yelled at Quan Chi, who immediately contacted revenant Marcel.
“Marcel! Fall back right now! We cannot have you captured by the light! Come back right now!”, Quan Chi said, desperate to keep his revenant by his side.
The soldiers realized the portal to the Netherrealm was already closed, and the Oni horde had no one as hostages. They watched as the Colossal Titan took parts in eradicating the Oni horde which came to the Female Titan, who kicked them with diamond legs.
“First the Armored titan, now the Colossal Titan?! It truly is a crazy time to live in!”, Nanaba said in awe.
“Well, we’ve seen what the regime was really like... I don’t think even they could be as evil as the Wonder Whore who tried to slaughter us even though we had nothing to do with her, or Quan Chi who is terrorizing us right now”, Jean replied.
“Yeah! She was the worst!”, Connie added. Cassie quickly understood the name Wonder Whore belonged to her world’s evil Diana. Cassie burst out laughing as she and Armin sliced the Oni horde into pieces.
“Wonder Whore?! You sure gave her a good name! It suits that bitch well!”, Cassie exclaimed.
“The name Wonder Woman doesn’t suit the psycho who only cares about manipulating and sleeping with Superman, and I’m glad I made you smile”, Armin replied as he eyed the Jaws Titan.
“It’s about time I finished this”, Green Guardian declared as he landed in front of the Jaws Titan. The Jaws Titan tried to slash the green lantern with the sharp claws, but the lantern summoned a wormhole which caught the claws. Quickly another portal emerged near the Jaw’s titan’s face, making the claws hurt its face.
“Your master should had known what happened to the regime would repeat itself as long as I remain the protector of this world. I don’t give up hope and my will, and your master will never be the one to break me”, the green lantern declared as he kicked the Jaws Titan in the face. The Violet Angel quickly joined to aid her friend alongside Eren’s titan. The violet lantern summoned a tornado which caught the revenant titan inside, allowing Eren to grab its arms and tear it apart. Green Guardian grabbed the Jaw’s titans legs and took him into the sky and tossed it toward the ground, blasting it with optic blast. The Jaws Titan was broken as it collided onto the ground, where lil Mogo was waiting. Lil Mogo blasted the head of the revenant titan, taking it down. Revenant Marcel emerged from the nape, attempting to transform again.
“You... I will at least kill you so that you can never free...”, the revenant tried to finish his sentence, but he took a bullet to his head, which blew his head up. Armin quickly noticed it was Gabi who fired at the revenant, while holding Falco in her arms.
“Impressive, kid! You have a good aim!”, the green lantern showed approval, but Reiner didn’t. The soldiers began to gather up as their protector saved the day.
“I knew you’d come back and save the day, son”, Hannes said as he hugged the green lantern with a smile. Meanwhile, Levi was in shock as he saw people he would never see again.
“Furlan, Isabel... I failed...”, Levi uttered, but the two companions were quick to hold their friend.
“You never failed us. The heroes brought us back to life! We are all alive again!”, Isabel shouted in delight.
“The original Levi’s squad is now back together again”, Furlan added as the three of them embraced each other. The second squad was quick to join the first one to surround their captain and hold him. Meanwhile, Carla made her way to her hero son, as she smiled at the hero who saved her life twice.
“I’m so proud of you. All of you. It’s like the days you had been the one who was protected by Eren and Mikasa is a distant memory”, Carla commented as she too hugged the hero. From a distance, four Military Police soldiers watched their hero with respect.
“Well, I kinda hoped I could see our hero fight, but I never thought it would be this cool”, Hitch exclaimed.
“I did want him in the Military Police if it were not for the titans. He knows how to defend innocent people from crime”, commander Nile commented.
“I hope I could be like him, sir. I want to change the situation in the Military Police by inspiring everyone to work hard”, Marlo replied.
“Well you have to kick lots of asses to be like him”, Marco retorted gently. Keith was also there to greet his student he never thought was the superhero.
“Cadet Arlert. I never thought you were the Green Guardian, but I now believe it. I was glad to have you as my student”, Keith told Armin.
“The same goes for me, commandant Keith. I’m glad to have you as my teacher”, the hero replied as they shook hands with each other. The remains of the revenants were carried to the two heroes, who quickly noticed one as Alfred.
“Alfred?”, Cassie exclaimed in shock.
“Cassie... Kara killed him”, Armin explained. The soldiers who brought the body was in surprise as they never knew about ‘Alfred’.
“Who the hell is Alfred?”, Eren asked.
“He is Batman’s butler. He was probably brought back as Quan Chi’s slave. Cassie, we need to take Alfred to Raven so she can purify him”, Armin explained. However, the childhood friends were in shock as they discovered one of the revenants to be their father, Grisha, who had been slain by the Armored Titan.
“Quan Chi! He corrupted our father!”, the green lantern roared in anger. Mikasa and Carla came running. They too had been shocked to learn what Quan Chi had done to their beloved father.
“Who did this?! I will kill those who did it!”, Mikasa exclaimed angrily, while Eren laughed as he felt miserable.
“It’s Quan Chi’s fault... We learned that he is able to mind control people, even dead people. I don’t want you to fight him. He’s too dangerous. I will make him pay for what he did”, Armin clenched his fists with hatred.
“Make sure you make him pay for what he did. I know you can do it, much better than me...”, Eren murmured as he sank into his friend’s arms.
“He also corrupted my friend. He has to pay for it”, Cassie exclaimed. However, they still had one job to do in the walls. They walked toward the warrior unit who were grieving Marcel’s fate.
“I failed Marcel... twice. The first time I let a titan eat him... now this... I should had been the one who died!”, Reiner cried.
“Yes! You should had been, for my people who lost their home that day! But it would had never changed the situation for your home. Quan Chi would had used you instead of the so called Marcel”, Armin said with contempt.
“I should thank you... despite what we did, you saved my cousin and her friend... thanks for forgiving”, Reiner uttered, but he was kicked by Green Guardian even before he could finish his sentence.
“I never forgave you, and I never will! I hate you all, but it doesn’t mean I shouldn’t save the children’s lives even if they are of your blood! They have nothing to do with your evil deeds and never have to!”, the green lantern shouted.
“So... you are not going to destroy our home country?”, Bertolt asked.
“Unlike you and the Regime, I never let my hatred against someone destroy innocent people by flattening cities! I will never become like you!”, the green lantern snapped in anger. Cassie stood next to her friend with disgust toward the titan shifters.
“You took his home like the Joker did to Superman. You should be grateful he didn’t kill you”, Cassie said sternly.
“Please... kill me... I’m the reason of all this happening... If I didn’t insist destroying Wall Maria that day, your people would had been safe...”, Reiner pleaded. The green lantern showed full disgust at the pathetic scum who destroyed his home.
“I never told you about my predecessor, but I guess it’s about time! My predecessor Hal Jordan once served the regime, and betrayed his own green lantern corps, and even killed his friend Guy Gardner. I remember the moment because I saw it through Hal’s eyes. But Hal realized he was wrong and redeemed himself, and he went through hell to become a hero again. You hadn’t even suffered as much as he did! Hal went through all hatred and disgust from his former friends he betrayed, as well as his guilt! If you are truly feeling bad for what you did, I expect you to live the hell of redemption like Hal did, because that’s all you deserve!”, Armin yelled as he proceeded to walk away, but the two kids stopped him.
“I’m sorry... we are at fault too. We cheered up when Reiner went to destroy your home... even though you saved Falco’s life without second thought... maybe we deserved what we got”, Gabi said as she lowered her head in shame.
“Even if that is true, you had never shed innocent blood, like they did. You are still innocent children and you changed your mind when you learned about us. You are not to blame”, Armin said as he smiled at the two children.
“Thank you for saving my life. You are a god”, Falco uttered his worship, which made Armin frown.
“Kid, I am not a god. I don’t decide who lives and who dies. If I do, I will be no better than those like Quan Chi. That is why I offered them a chance of redemption even though I hate them from all my heart”, Armin said as he turned to Cassie.
“Cassie, it’s time to go. Let’s make Quan Chi pay for what he did and save Kara together”, the green lantern said as Cassie nodded. Together, the insurgents along with revenant Alfred disappeared into a beam of green light, which took them to Earth once more.

Quan Chi was in shame as he lost one of his competent revenant to the light. He also heard he was not enough to make the hero break. Quan Chi wanted Green Guardian dead, and he would do it before the green lantern could save Kara from his grip.
“My lord. Let me go to Earthrealm. I want to exterminate the lantern myself”, Quan Chi declared.
“If you had been satisfied with the mindless titans outside the walls, we wouldn’t had lost two of our revenants and Oni horde! Now the shifters are all against me!”, Shinnok spat angrily.
“But that will all change when their protector dies and joins me... Let me fix this, my lord”, Quan Chi pleaded.
“Very well. Make sure Bi-Han and Kara kills lots of them so your victory will be secure!”, Shinnok ordered, to make his servant to be patient.

Meanwhile, at the Avengers tower, the survivors of the special forces were staying with the avengers, as well as the ninjas and third child. Thor brooded with rage as he recalled his mother forced to do Quan Chi’s bidding.
“That vile demon Quan Chi will pay for what he did to my mother and Fury! I will bury him in his grave with Mjolnir!”, Thor declared.
“Then it means we share a common enemy. My brother is still corrupted by Quan Chi”, Sub Zero said.
“Quan Chi also murdered my family by using Sub Zero’s brother as a puppet”, Skorpion added.
“Who is your brother you speak of?”, Iron Man asked.
“His name is Bi-Han. He’s shadow wraith who destroyed Strykers alongside with Galatea”, Sub Zero explained.
“So he was under mind control the whole time?! That’s seriously messed up”, Spider-Man commented.
“Which is why we will never stop at destroying Quan Chi”, Sareena declared.
“I shall help you with Galatea. My strength matches that of Kryptonians”, Thor proposed.
“I will go with you. I too can manipulate shadows. Maybe I can turn Bi-Han’s shadow against him”, Shinji added. They were about to go, when a greenish ray fell upon their room. There stood Green Guardian and Wonder Girl, who also sought help from the Avengers.
“We are sorry to interrupt, but we would like to get help from your teammate, Wanda Maximoff”, Green Guardian pleaded. However, Wanda was already there to listen to the newcomer duo.
“What would you need me for? I will be glad to help you”, Wanda answered.
“Thank you. We need you help with Galatea”, Wonder Girl said.
“So she’s under mind control by the so called Quan Chi as well? Then we must help her!”, Wanda exclaimed.
“We are glad to have your help”, Green Guardian bowed to the Avenger.
“It’s okay. I had been manipulated by an evil organization too, and it was by my own free will, until the Avengers showed me the truth. That’s why I want to help these two because they are like me”, Wanda explained.
“If Wanda is going, I will go too”, Quicksilver added. Finally, the team to save Bi-Han and Kara had been assembled.
“Good luck, Thor, and all of you. If you need him, I will send Hulk to help you”, Captain America said as the team, Thor, Sub Zero, Skorpion, Smoke, Cyrax, Sareena, Wanda, Quicksilver, Captain Apostle, Green Guardian, and Wonder Girl departed.

Galatea was furious when she received a message from her master. She was with Noob Saibot, and together they were going to destroy everything in their path.
“Kara, I’ve located the traitor Wonder Girl. She is in New York. I will send Moloch and his army to hinder her allies...”, Quan Chi hissed evilly.
“I will kill her and everyone who stands in my way”, Galatea gritted her teeth and landed. She reunited with Noob Saibot in the Avengers memorial park. Where the heroes were at. The heroes brandished their weapons to save the minions of Quan Chi from the vile sorcerer. Galatea glared at Wonder Girl with contempt.
“You can no longer run, Cassie! Soon you will see it as we do!”, Galatea declared.
“All of you, split up! Do not let Galatea rally with Bi-Han!”, Sub Zero ordered as the heroes split in two. Sub Zero led the team against Bi-Han, while Thor led the team against Galatea. However, the heroes were disturbed by Moloch’s army entering the park.
“You all die today, humans! I shall crush your bones!”, Moloch declared as he tossed the wrecking ball toward the heroes. However, Wanda’s reddish powers stopped the wrecking ball in place. Thor summoned a massive lightning which wiped out all Oni demons except Moloch, who barely managed to dodge the lightning from Mjolnir. Thor and Wanda decided to battle Moloch, who called more Oni demons to back him up.
Sub Zero’s team confronted against Noob Saibot. The team consisted of Sub Zero, Skorpion, Smoke, Sareena, and Captain Apostle. Noob Saibot looked at his brother with contempt, for siding with Skorpion who had ‘killed’ him.
“You disappoint me, brother”, Noob Saibot hissed as he summoned shadow clone to attack Sub Zero. Sub Zero fought against his former brother who raised his sickle to cut Sub Zero. Sub Zero blocked the sickle and froze it instantly, then turning it into pieces.
“No, you are not Bi-Han! You are just a cell who trapped the real Bi-Han inside! We will free him from you!”, Sub Zero declared as he attempted to slice Noob Saibot. Noob Saibot decided to sneak into shadow portal to attack Sub Zero from behind. However, Noob Saibot found himself unable to use the shadow portal, as if it were made of pure light.
“Impossible! My darkness is immutable and unkillable!”, Noob Saibot yelled as he saw Captain Apostle float before him, glaring at the wraith with a smile.
“It can still be cured. I too can control shadows, and I will cleanse the evilness of yours to free what is imprisoned inside you!”, the teen hero declared. Noob Saibot tried to summon more shadow portals, but all of them were blocked by AT fields which prevented Noob Saibot from entering, courtesy of Leliel’s shadow powers. Skorpion realized Noob Saibot could no longer use his portal trick and unleashed his kunai.
“Come here!”, Hanzo yelled as he unleashed his kunai toward Noob Saibot. Noob Saibot tried to turn himself into pure shadow to phase the attack, but he could not as the AT field gave the shadow an physical body, allowing the kunai to entangle Noob Saibot. Sareena used her demoness magic circle to keep Noob Saibot in place, allowing Sub Zero to freeze the shadow wraith’s legs and arms, preventing any movement.
“This time, we will save you, Bi-Han. All of us”, Sub Zero declared as he motioned the teen hero with the power of Apostles to do his work. Shinji was quick to oblige and used his Arael powers to look into Noob Saibot’s mind, and noticed Bi-Han was still there.
“Grandmaster! Your brother is still there! I will free him!”, the teen hero declared as he used the power of Armisael to shatter the mind control cast on Bi-Han by Quan Chi. He was able to do the same with Yondu, Nick Fury, and Frigga. Soon he found the mind control link and shattered it, freeing Bi-Han, who was in total confusion.
“What happened to me? What had I been doing?”, Bi-Han said. The memories of the atrocities Bi-Han had committed as Quan Chi’s puppet came back to him. Then he looked at himself and found himself as a pure shadow, no longer human. Bi-Han then saw Hanzo Hasashi, who helped him get up.
“Hanzo... I killed your klan...”, Bi-Han, now back as his honorable self, said in shame.
“It was Quan Chi who made you do that. You were not to blame and I killed you. That is why I chose to save you with your brother”, Hanzo replied to assure Bi-Han.
“But... I am now a freak... How can I make up for my evil deeds?”, Bi-Han said with disgust toward himself.
“Bi-Han... don’t blame yourself... I’m just glad you are back again”, Sareena replied as she held Bi-Han in her arms, as tears of joy ran down from her eyes.
“Bi-Han. Did I do good?”, Kuai Liang asked his brother.
“You did, much better than me, brother”, Bi-Han replied as the brothers embraced each other in reunion.
Meanwhile, Thor and Wanda were dealing with Moloch’s demon horde. Thor was annoyed at the thought of dealing with them over and over again. Thor had to assure Wanda’s safety during the fight. Thor could not leave Wanda alone with Moloch, but he could leave her with the rest of the demonic horde.
“Wanda! I will take care of this beast! Handle the rest!”, Thor ordered. Wanda quickly obliged and left Thor to fight the rest of Oni hordes. Wanda quickly unleashed her red energy to twist the Oni demons’ bodies, disabling their movement until she ripped them all apart with her telekinetic powers. Moloch looked at this with dismay.
“I will rip you apart, witch!”, Moloch declared as he threw his wrecking ball toward Wanda, but Thor’s Mjolnir stopped the wrecking ball. The hammer’s power outmatched the wrecking ball, crushing the ball into pieces. Moloch looked at this with fear, but the demon was quick to give into its bravado.
“I will rip flesh from your bones!”, Moloch declared as he slammed a club onto Thor, who dodged it with ease. Thor then punched Moloch’s right ankle, breaking it. Moloch swung a massive sword around to catch Thor. However, Thor flew toward Moloch and kicked with his knee. Thor then brandished Stormbreaker as he roared fiercely. The thunder god’s axe sliced Moloch in half, killing the Oni.
“Beasts like you being in Hel”, Thor said with contempt as he looked at the body of the beast he had just slain.
The other team was doing their best to fend off Galatea. Smoke tried to make Galatea blind by throwing a fog at her face, but it was never a problem for Galatea as she could scan them with her Xray vision. Cyrax tried to capture Galatea in his energy net, but the fallen Kryptonian shrugged the attack off as it did not affect her Kryptonian physiology. However, the two Lin Kuei were just a distraction for a greater plan. Suddenly, a golden lasso came out of nowhere and attempted to wrap itself around Galatea, who caught with her hand.
Wonder Girl had taken the lasso of truth from her green lantern companion to use it to free her world’s Kara Zor-El, who had pulled the lasso toward herself as Cassie struggled to stay at her current place. Cassie believed Kara was brainwashed to be Quan Chi’s slave like the revenants, which was not true.
“Kara, you are the last hope of Krypton! Please remember who you are! Break free!”, Cassie begged as she tightened her grip on the lasso of truth, but to her horror, the lasso did not affect Kara at all. Without hesitation, Galatea pulled the lasso with all her power with Wonder Girl and grabbed Cassie’s neck, attempting to suffocate her. Cyrax and Smoke, as well as Green Guardian attempted to move, but Galatea used her super breath to push them away with immense might, which made them clash into a building. Quicksilver attempted to save Cassie from Galatea by running toward Galatea with super speed, finding a way to break Wonder Girl free from the Kryptonian’s grip. However, to Pietro’s horror, Galatea was able to chase the speedstar’s movement.
Galatea then immediately shifted her attention to Quicksilver as she tossed Wonder Girl away. Quicksilver could barely dodge Galatea’s fist swung toward him. Then Galatea hovered in air and landed with great force, but Quicksilver managed to dodge this as well by dashing backwards. Quicksilver could only keep dodging Galatea’s attacks as she punched the monument of those who lost their lives in Hydra’s invasion on New York. However, it came to an end as Galatea managed to corner into the monument wall and pushed him with her shoulder. Galatea was annoyed by Pietro and decided to end his life with her heat vision. Pietro watched Galatea attempt to kill him in fear as he covered his face. However, she was struck by Thor’s Mjolnir and Wanda’s reddish powers.
“You won’t kill my brother!”, Wanda yelled as she threw a reddish orbs toward the Kryptonian, backed up by Thor’s lightning. Their powers brought a lot of pain at the fallen Kara Zor-El. However, Galatea had been used to such pain as she spent a lot of time in the hellish Netherrealm. She had been used to the feeling of her skin getting burnt. Roaring in fury, Galatea ignored the Avenger’s attacks and grabbed Wanda’s neck, suffocating her. Thor swung both of his hammers and slammed Galatea’s face with both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker. However, it only fueled Galatea’s fury as magic did not depower Kryptonians. Galatea forcefully grabbed Stormbreaker with her hand and unleashed heat vision on Thor’s hand, making the thunder god drop Stormbreaker from the pain. Galatea swore to kill the thunder god at the same time as Wanda, who was now beginning to lose air. However, she was pushed away from the two avengers as a green sonic wave hit her from above. Galatea was pushed toward the ground by the sonic scream unleashed by Green Guardian, who then summoned Kara’s dead friends as constructs, all of them. The constructs tried to convince Kara to give up her madness.
“Come on, Kara. I didn’t bail you out for this!”, Construct Cyborg said.
“We sent you here so this world would have a fighting chance... why are you destroying it?”, Construct Flash asked. However, this only made Kara mad, as she crapped her hand to dissolve the constructs.
“I’m doing this to save this world from Kal and Diana! Lord Shinnok is the only one who can save it from them!”, Kara yelled as she tried to attack Green Guardian, who summoned Black Canary and Green Arrow as constructs once again.
“Did you have to kill Bruce for that? What about your friends, us, of this world?!”, Black Canary construct asked with fury.
“Come on, You don’t have to become the same as Supes to save this world!”, Green Arrow construct added, to reason with Kara. However, this made Kara even more furious, as she roared in fury.
“I don’t need your impostors who doesn’t even question Kal and Diana! This world is built on their lies! I had enough with worlds or people who believes in Kal and Diana as their lackeys! I am SAVING this world from them!”, Galatea crapped her hands to dissolve the construct, and grabbed the Green Guardian’s neck, choking him.
“You! You used everyone to deceive me into believing Kal’s lies again! I will kill you so you won’t disgrace them!”, Galatea yelled as she tightened her grip on the lantern’s neck. Wonder Girl saw this in horror as she came running.
“Kara, don’t! He’s trying to save you!”, Cassie begged her friend who turned evil. This made Kara shift her attention to Wonder Girl. Galatea slammed into Wonder Girl with rage as she attempted to pummel Cassie to her death.
“Cassie! We both suffered Kal and Diana! Yet you still joined them! You BETRAYED US! I don’t need a traitor like Kal anymore!”, Galatea yelled as she attempted to blast Cassie’s eyes with heat vision to kill her, but to her surprise, Kara suddenly felt herself get depowered. There stood Green Guardian, who emitted Green Kryptonite radiation from his body.
“Forgive Me”, the green lantern said as he went toward Galatea. He summoned a hammer construct and slammed Galatea in the head, while emitting the green kryptonite radiation to weaken Kara. Armin had five years of lantern traning as well as Hal Jordan’s memories, and had a total mastery over solid light energy. He could even manipulate solid light energy into having the same radiation as green kryptonite in case Supermaniac sent any Kryptonian to his world. It was not long before Galatea fell into unconsciousness from kryptonite radiation and the hammer construct hitting her in the head.
“I’m sorry... but you gave me no other choice”, Green Guardian said remorsefully. He had feelings for Kara Zor-El whom he had seen fighting for hope and justice in Hal’s vision. Wanda and Thor finally recovered from Galatea’s attack. They were impressed to see the green lantern defeat Galatea by himself.
“You defeated her? All by yourself?”, Thor asked in disbelief.
“I mastered solid light manipulation to the point of creating kryptonite radiation”, the green lantern replied, before he turned to Wanda.
“Please, Ms Maximoff. Connect my mind with hers. I have something to show her”, Green Guardian pleaded. It was a last resort for him to bring the heroine he had feelings for back to the light, which Wanda did right away as reddish energy covered their heads.

Meanwhile, Quan Chi watched with horror as the heroes managed to purify Bi-Han, and Wanda was already beginning her attempt to bring Kara out of his manipulation. The sorcerer could not allow that to happen.
“Lord Shinnok! They managed to free Bi-Han, and is about to free Kara! We must stop them!”, Quan Chi begged his lord, who looked at him with contempt.
“You should had eradicated the ones who could purify them, you fool. It is nothing to fear. When I regain my amulet, I can crush them all like bugs”, Shinnok declared. However, Quan Chi did not want the heroes to win. He was the master, and they would pay for defying him.
“Lord Shinnok. I will bring all those who dared to free my minions as revenants. Please, let’s me have the honor”, Quan Chi pleaded.
“Very well. You may go”, Shinnok ordered as Quan Chi went to New York through a portal. Shinnok actually had no need for Quan Chi anymore as Wormtail already had his amulet. It was already a matter of time the fate of the universe was sealed.

Meanwhile, Kara found herself in a night inside a mental plane. To her fury, she saw the green lantern who defied her standing next to her. Kara growled as she tried to attack, trying to punch a hole in his chest, but nothing happened.
“What is this? Where am I?!”, Kara roared in fury at Green Guardian, who unveiled his costume.
“Kara... you are at my beginning”, Armin explained, almost tearing up as he walked toward the place he found Hal from Kara’s universe and became a green lantern. Kara had no choice but to follow him, as she had nothing else to do, glaring at the blonde teen with hatred. Then, to her horror, she found her world’s Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris, on the blink of death.
“Hal! Carol! I’m coming!”, Kara said as she tried to save them, but Armin stopped her, grabbing her arm.
“I’m sorry, Kara. This had already happened. I couldn’t save them”, Armin said with shame. Kara looked as her Hal Jordan give his ring to Armin’s younger self. Kara was now wailing as she knew she was the only one who truly ‘remained’.
“No! Why are you showing me this? Release me from here, so I can kill Kal and Diana for this!”, Kara demanded, but her companion stood before her.
“Your Hal told me to protect this world no matter how corrupt or cruel it was. They would had wanted the same for you. They wouldn’t had wanted you to become a destroyer of worlds!”, Armin yelled at Kara, who was now in her thoughts.
“I had seen your Hal Jordan’s memories... Supermaniac and Wonder Whore, your Kal and Diana... disgusted me the most. I wanted to kill these bastards for what they did to poor innocent people... and you, which is why I managed to do this”, Armin said as the scenery around them had changed. It was the battle between the Green Guardian and the Regime invaders. Kara saw Green Guardian kill countless yellow lanterns, Damian Wayne, and almost killing Diana, in amazement.
“I managed to keep my willpower against them for their sake, for your friends... and for you. I’m not asking you to fight for this world... but please, fight for the sake of your friends who would had wanted you to protect this world no matter how it is like... Please abandon the Netherrealm and fight with us, to honor their memory!”, Armin demanded. This finally made Kara open her eyes. What she had done against Earth and its people, whom she had seen as Kal’s lackeys, it now horrified her. Kara was finally reminded how far she had fallen.
“What... had I done... I’m no better than my cousin! I truly failed everyone! Please kill me so I can no longer disgrace their memory!”, Kara said with horror, begging her companion to kill her for the misery she caused. However, her companion gave her a loving gaze.
“Kara... it’s Supermaniac, Wonder Whore, and Quan Chi who made you like this... you can still come back... You still have people who would fight”, Green Guardian tried to finish the sentence, but Kara saw him banish from her sight. Suddenly she was brought back to the real world, and found her companion dead, as her former master’s hand unleashed its green magic upon the lantern’s heart.
“Kara... come back to me. It’s useless to defy me”, Quan Chi said with a evil smirk. Everyone in the park saw this. Cassie was furious as the vile sorcerer ‘killed’ her friend.
“YOU!”, Wonder Girl yelled as she attacked Quan Chi with her sword. However, Quan Chi just teleported from a portal and went above Cassie and stomped on her head. Quan Chi then unleashed his green magic to control Cassie, to Kara’s horror.
“Wonder Girl, destroy them”, Quan Chi ordered. Cassie, who had now eyes devoid of emotion, attacked Kara. Thor and Wanda roared in fury and attacked Quan Chi by blasting him with their combined powers. However, Quan Chi went behind them and used his magic against them, enslaving Thor and Wanda.
“Now my Avengers, kill everyone”, Quan Chi ordered. Thor and Wanda attacked everyone with their powers. Everyone was forced to fight their former allies, now Quan Chi’s slave, except for Sareena and Bi-Han, who escaped by a shadow portal. They looked at the ‘dead’ body of their green lantern comrade, until Sareena realized something.
“Bi-Han... I was once Quan Chi’s servant. I might remember the spell to undo his magic!”, Sareena said. Bi-Han evacuated the two and the ‘dead’ lantern through a shadow portal as Thor threw Mjolnir at them. Sareena then began to unleash her magic circle upon the ‘dead’ lantern. The ring still hadn’t left Armin’s finger. The spell began to do its work and the ring showed its success, showing the healing factor rate at 104%, boosted by Sareena’s magic. It was not long before Armin woke up and gasped for air, as he had been revived from the dead.
“What happened? Where’s everyone?”, Green Guardian asked the demon duo.
“Quan Chi ‘killed’ you with his spell, but we brought you back. The worst news is Quan Chi managed to control Thor and Wanda against us, as well as Wonder Girl”, Sareena answered.
“I let my guard down... It won’t happen again! Bi-Han, unleash your shadow against Quan Chi! It will blind him for a while! I know exactly how to make him pay for what he did, to us”, the green lantern declared, now enraged. The three went out of the shadow portal as other heroes fought each other. Bi-Han threw his shadow at Quan Chi, which blinded him for a while.
“Bi-Han! You betray me!”, Quan Chi yelled with fury.
“It is you who made Bi-Han betray his loved ones!”, Sareena shouted with anger. Quan Chi looked at Sareena with contempt, until a big green object hit him like a truck.
“Quan Chi, you ‘killed’ me and corrupted the people I love, as well as messing with honorable heroes by manipulating them. You should be AFRAID of me. BECAUSE I AM GOING TO SHOW YOU WHAT DESPAIR REALLY IS”, Quan Chi watched in horror and denial as a boney and massive green fist grabbed his face. There stood the lantern he ‘killed’, now alive once again, in the form of the mighty Kryptonian abomination, Doomsday, which towered over the sorcerer, with HATEFUL eyes.
