Vengeance Will Be Ours
The green Doomsday wasted no time kicking Quan Chi, then stomping on the sorcerer’s chest bound demon. Quan Chi could do nothing against the duplicate of the mighty abomination conjured by the protector of willpower. Quan Chi could only give his newest Asgardian servant an order to face the threat.
“Thor! Wanda! Wonder Girl! Destroy this abomination!”, Quan Chi ordered the three mind controlled heroes who were fighting others. Thor was forcing Sub Zero to block his hammers with ice wall, enhanced by Captain Apostle’s AT filed. Wanda was trying to use her mind control power on Skorpion, who was defended by Smoke’s gray fog, while Quicksilver tried to get closer to his sister to free her, but being deflected by her reddish powers. Wonder Girl attempted to slash Kara who was still weakened by Kryptonite, defended by Cyrax’s energy net which forced Cassie away. However, when the brainwashed heroes heard Quan Chi’s order, the puppets immediately turned away from their former allies and attacked the Doomsday duplicate.
“Captain! We might need the Hulk, wait, never mind”, Quicksilver used his comm link to the Avengers tower to request Hulk’s aid as Thor was now controlled. However, Pietro changed his mind when he saw the green Doomsday in front of him, in confusion. Captain America was quick to reply.
“Pietro! What is the situation?”, Quicksilver, still amazed, informed his captain.
“Well... Quan Chi took control of Thor, Wanda, and the Amazon, but now... we sort of have Doomsday”, everyone in the Avengers tower could not believe this.
“Sam! Use the red wing so we can have a clear view of what’s going on”, Tony ordered. Falcon quickly sent his redwing drone to investigate. The footage from redwing quickly gave the Avengers the footage of the green Doomsday.
“Is that the lantern kid?! He can turn himself into Doomsday?!”, War Machine said in shock.
“Holy shit!”, Spider-Man gasped in surprise.
“I should be honest. I kinda underestimated the green lanterns, but I don’t think I ever will”, Hawkeye added, completely impressed.
“Yeah, we have Doomsday”, Antman sighed in disbelief. They saw the green Doomsday shrugging off Quan Chi’s magic blast with no effect at all, and then kicking the vile sorcerer in the chest miles away.
“Way to go, big kid!”, Sam cheered as he saw the footage himself.
Thor, Wanda, and Wonder Girl all attacked the green Doomsday at once. Thor brandished both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker and threw Mjolnir to stop the lantern’s movement. Wanda threw her reddish orbs at Doomsday form to disable it, while Cassie brandished to decapitate the lantern inside the Doomsday form. However, the Doomsday duplicate crapped its massive boney hands and created a shock wave that sent all three puppets away. Roaring in rage, the green Doomsday jumped onto Quan Chi from above and slammed its fist onto Quan Chi’s head with massive force, making the sorcerer lose his grip on the heroes, freeing them. The three heroes looked around with confusion as they were freed. Thor gasped in shock when he saw the Doomsday duplicate.
“By the gods! You can transform into the ultimate beast who killed Superman?!”, Thor said in surprise.
“I know that my EVA 01 is cool and powerful, but this is on another level!”, Shinji Ikari, in his Zeruel mask as he was forced to fight Thor, exclaimed in total shock. Cassie soon found her friend alive with relief, and ran toward the green Doomsday and hugged it, which was gentle enough to return the hug.
“I thought he... Quan Chi killed you... how did you come back?”, Cassie asked with teary eyes from both relief and trauma.
“The demoness Sareena brought me back. Now, he will suffer the worst punishment I came up with”, Green Guardian replied with fury in Doomsday voice.
“I can torment him for controlling me and my teammates”, Wanda said, also furious.
“Just keep this in mind, it’s too soon to kill Quan Chi for his crimes”, Green Guardian ordered, as he set up the plan to give Quan Chi the worst punishment the genius lantern came up with.
Meanwhile, Skorpion, Sub Zero, and Bi-Han all fought against Quan Chi. Skorpion threw his kunai at Quan Chi, who attempted to grab it instead. However, Bi-Han summoned a shadow portal beneath Quan Chi and made a shadow klone grab Quan Chi into the portal, making Quan Chi miss the chains. Bi-Han then made Quan Chi fall in front of Sub Zero, who froze the sorcerer immediately. Hanzo’s chains impaled Quan Chi in the chest, making the sorcerer cry in pain. Quan Chi cowardly teleported away from the Ninjas, only to see Quicksilver in front of him, who glared at him with contempt for manipulating his sweet sister.
Quicksilver punched Quan Chi with his super speed, sending him away. Then Quicksilver reappeared behind Quan Chi and punched him again. Quicksilver kept repeating the process until Skorpion emerged in front of him, hitting the sorcerer with hellfire blast. Quicksilver deemed it was fine to let Skorpion fight Quan Chi, as Pietro heard Quan Chi had killed his family.
“Skorpion... we can”, Quan Chi said to convince Skorpion, who punched him in fury.
“My Name is Hanzo Hasashi!”, Hanzo declared as he made Quan Chi suffer from hellfire blast from underground. While Quan Chi was crying in pain from being burnt by hellfire, Bi-Han’s shadow klone approached Quan Chi from behind. The shadow klone grabbed Quan Chi and pushed him toward Sub Zero, who used ice axe to slice Quan Chi’s stomach. Bi-Han then dropped Sareena from a shadow portal and allowed her to stomp on Quan Chi’s head. Quan Chi was now getting furious, as he was supposed to win every battle. Quan Chi summoned demon bats, which swarmed upon the ninjas, allowing himself to escape.
“I had enough of you! If it were not for you wretched heroes, I would have had an Asgardian, an Amazon, and a Kryptonian as well as two powerful wraiths to make me the ultimate ruler of the realms! With all those assets, I could had even overthrown Shinnok and taken his amulet for myself, which I assigned a mere rat to do! I will kill you all for disturbing my master plan!”, Quan Chi declared as he summoned bone fighters across New York, to wreck havoc on the city.

Meanwhile, the Punisher was preparing his guns as he watched the news of monsters invading big cities like Metropolis and Gotham. Frank was taken a back when he saw an army of green bones terrorizing the city. Roaring in fury, Punisher went out of his house and began to shoot the green skulls. Frank was able to kill some of them, but soon the bones began to surround the vigilante, until something fired at the bones in front of him, wiping them all out. Frank was dumbfounded when he saw the Benator flying in the sky, shooting at the bones. Kyle Rayner was quick to notice Frank and picked Frank up with a hand construct and put him on the Benator. Guy noticed what Kyle was up to and created a seat with seatbelt for Frank, which fastened itself immediately.
“Who the hell are you?”, Frank asked, while shooting at the bones behind Benator.
“We are the Guardians of the Galaxy”, Star Lord declared as he fired Benator’s cannons at the bones in front of the ship. Alongside Guy who fired his cannon constructs.
Meanwhile, on the Avengers tower, the heroes received the footage of skull army attacking the city. They were quick to respond to it, as Captain America gave them the other.
“Avengers, Quan Chi had somehow summoned an army of bones to terrorize the city. We must beat them all. We leave now!”, Captain America said as he put his jetpack on and jumped out of the window. Iron Man, War Machine, and Falcon were the next ones to follow the captain. Antman jumped out and activated his giant form, while Wasp activated her small form. Spider-Man let Hawkeye grab onto him as he swung out of the window, followed by Captain Marvel who grabbed Black Widow and Quake. Hulk was the last one to leave, but was the first to lay waste on the bones as well as the flying bats by ripping them apart. The Avengers did a quick work on the bone fighters.
The flyers, Iron Man, War Machine, Falcon, and Captain Marvel bombarded them. Hawkeye fired his explosive arrows from a rooftop, assisted by the Wasp who shoot the flying bats, alongside Black Widow who sliced the bones with her swing kick enhanced by knives attached to Natasha’s legs. Antman in giant form squashed the bones while Spider-Man webbed them all up. Spider-Man then used his super strength to punch and kick the bones, smashing them with his fists and kicks. Captain America used his shield to slice the bones while Quake shook their grounds, making them suffer the bombardment from the the Quinjet controlled by Nick Fury. Yondu watched the fight until he noticed the Benator, and his son Quill inside, firing at the bones. It was high time for the daddy to help out his son.
“I’m Mary Poppins Y’All!”, Yondu said as his Yaka flew toward the demon bats which dared to attack the Benator. Quill quickly realized his father was there. Star Lord immediately jumped out of Benator and quickly went to help Yondu, annihilating any bones or bats which dared to touch his dad. The rest of the Guardians moved their Benator to assist them, by firing its cannons at the bone horde. Soon they were completely exterminated. Quill took off his mask and ran toward his dad, who hugged him.
“Yes! Yes! Oh YES!”, Star Lord screamed in joy as the son and the dad reunited in New York. The rest of teh Guardians watched their reunion with joyously.
“Oh yeah!”, Rocket exclaimed in joy.
“I am Groot”, Groot said, also happy. The rest of the Guardians smiled at the reunion, even Guy and Kyle who barely knew Quill.

Quan Chi attempted to escape into the Netherrealm by opening a portal. The cowardly sorcerer was now scared of his life as he had everything against him. However, as soon as he opened a portal to his home, Quan Chi found it banish into nothing, to his horror. Doctor Strange floated before Quan Chi, watching the vile sorcerer.
“I, Doctor Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme, shall banish your evil from the world of living!”, Doctor Strange declared as he cast a spell by moving his fingers. Golden magic circles soon appeared everywhere then banished.
“Now, with the spell I cast on this realm, you will never be able to return to the Netherrealm. I shall leave you to the others, who will take pleasure in punishing you”, Doctor Strange said as he flew away, as Quan Chi was beneath him. Quan Chi tried to open the portal back to the Netherrealm, but it never opened again. Quan Chi then looked around and saw Kara who was supposed to be his servant, looking at him with rage.
“Kara, you know by betraying me, you will never get your friends back. By staying Galatea, my best Kryptonian servant, you would had definitely gotten your revenge”, Quan Chi said with a sinister smile, but Kara blasted Quan Chi with her heat vision, full of rage.
“YOU MANIPULATED my grief and guilt and turned me into something... a monster I was never meant to be! You made me a disgrace for their memory! I am no longer Galatea! I am Power Girl!”, Kara, now back as Power Girl declared as she smashed Quan Chi by punching him 104 times, pummeling the vile sorcerer. However, Quan Chi unleashed his torment spell on Power Girl, making his former minion fall onto her knees.
“Foolish girl. Kryptonians are vulnerable to sorcery. Now you will serve me again, as a revenant”, Quan Chi said as he prepared to unleash his instant kill magic upon Power Girl. However, immediately after he unleashed it, the vile sorcerer was covered in a massive dust. Quan Chi felt the ground shake as he trembled from the shock. When the dust settled, Quan Chi saw the green Doomsday in front of him once again, who shrugged off the instant kill magic and shielded Kara from it.
“Impossible! I killed you! How are you alive?!”, Quan Chi said in horror. He now knew there is no escape from the heroes as he could no longer return to the Netherrealm because of Doctor Strange. The Doomsday construct grabbed Quan Chi and punched him in the head, making him lose the focus on the bone fighters.
Meanwhile, Skorpion, Sub Zero, Bi-Han, and Sareena found Quan Chi gone when they fled from the demon bats which swarmed upon them via Bi-Han’s shadow portal. They made a quick work of the demon bats. Skorpion used his hellfire chains to slice them into pieces, while Sub Zero froze them, allowing Sareena to slice the frozen bats with her kama. Bi-Han conjured many shadow klones of himself and forced them onto the demon bats, making the bats drop on the ground. Skorpion unleashed his hellfire to burn them all to crisp. Then they saw bone fighters of Quan Chi come to them, only to dissolve into nothing. They were soon approached by Cyrax and Smoke, who pointed at the Green Doomsday engaging Quan Chi.
“By the elder gods! Wasn’t he killed by Quan Chi?”, Sub Zero said in surprise.
“I brought him back by reversing Quan Chi’s spell with mine. He looks real mad at Quan Chi. Should we let him have the fun?”, Sareena asked the ninjas.
“As long as it would make Quan Chi suffer, I will abide by the choice”, Hanzo said.
“But we will be the ones to kill Quan Chi”, Bi-Han added with hatred toward the vile sorcerer.
The Guardians of the Galaxy felt the ground shake when the bone fighters were turned into dusts. In confusion, they decided to go to the source of the Earthquake. Kyle and Guy led them toward the point, where they saw an Green Lantern inside of a green Doomsday construct. Guy and Kyle were both dumbfounded, as they had never seen a green lantern create such powerful objects like Doomsday.
“What in the world? What is that thing?”, Quill exclaimed in shock.
“It’s Doomsday... the ultimate beast who killed Superman once, but it’s summoned by a green lantern it seems”, Kyle said in total shock.
“Kyle, it seems you’ve got a rival for the title of the strongest Green Lantern!”, Guy laughed as he imagined how they would meet the green lantern. Yondu quickly noticed Quan Chi, the bastard who controlled him.
“Quill, that lantern is beating the crap out of the son of a bitch who controlled me as an evil corpse!”, Yondu informed Quill.
“He did that?! Go lantern kiddo, make that bold man feel the pain!”, Quill cheered as the Doomsday construct beat the crap out of Quan Chi.
The Green Doomsday slammed its fists onto Quan Chi with massive force, making Quan Chi bleed from his white bold head from the spikes on the construct’s skin. Quan Chi tried to run away by teleporting, but to his horror, no portal opened for him, thanks to Doctor Strange. Quan Chi then fired his torment spell to make the lantern lose focus from the pain, but the Doomsday construct was never affected, as it began to absorb the energy from Quan Chi’s magic. Quan Chi summoned more demon bats to buy him time, but the bats were eradicated by the energy blasts fired from the Doomsday construct.
“What is this? What kind of monster are you?”, Quan Chi said in fear, only to have the green Doomsday grab him in the right arm and break it, shattering every bone inside the right arm, making Quan Chi moan in pain.
“I am the Green Guardian, and I protect this world and innocent people, from vile beings who prey upon them, like YOU”, Green Guardian declared in a neutral tone as he proceeded to break the left arm of Quan Chi, disabling his arms.
Quan Chi tried to kick the Doomsday construct, now desperate. However, the green Doomsday caught the right leg which Quan Chi used to kick the lantern and broke it, twisting it vertically. Quan Chi screamed in further pain as the bones in his right leg had been shattered. The Doomsday duplicate did the same to the left leg of the vile sorcerer, completely disabling Quan Chi’s movements. Then Quan Chi received a punch by the boney construct on the head. The massive blow was enough to make Quan Chi fall to unconsciousness, from all the pain the Guardian caused upon the vile being.
Kara could only watch as the Doomsday construct wrecked her former master, who manipulated her to be a monster like her cousin. However, using the Doomsday form immediately after being revived by Sareena brought too much fatigue to Green Guardian, who soon collapsed from the exhaustion, reverting back to the powerless soldier, panting heavily. Kara knew she had to help him up, and supported his shoulder.
“Why did you save me? I’ve committed so many crimes under his manipulation... against Earth... You could had left me to die”, Kara asked.
“I just didn’t want you to suffer anymore... You’ve suffered too much, Brainiac, your Kal and Diana, this freak... You didn’t deserve to go through all this”, Armin, now depowered completely, replied.
“I have another question to ask you... what were you trying to tell me when Quan Chi ‘killed’ you?”, Kara asked again.
“I wanted to tell you that you still have people who would fight for you... and I, Armin Arlert, am one of them, like Cassie. Kara, I wanted to see you, ever since I saw you in Hal’s memory... You inspired me to fight for hope, and justice... and I fell in love with you. It hurt me so much when I saw these bastards... Brainiac, the regime, your cousin... took everything from you. I wanted to kill them all, for you, which is why I did”, Armin confessed with teary eyes.
“I tried to kill you... How do I deserve such love from someone who actually stood for what I’ve betrayed?”, Kara said with a blush. Armin was quick to make a reply, as this was the only chance he could show Kara how he felt for her.
“It’s because I want to. You don’t have to accept this, but I’m sure my love for you is far better than the so called ‘love’ the fallen Amazon and your evil cousin had for you”, Kara had now finally found the person who truly loved her. They embraced each other as they were meant to be, as the insurgency’s last, as broken halves, until they were interrupted by Sareena.
“I’m sorry to interrupt you two, but we should kill Quan Chi right here and now”, the demoness told them. Everyone was gathered in front of the broken vile sorcerer. Armin quickly turned to them and revealed what he was planning with a sinister grin.
“Not yet. Killing Quan Chi would be too easy. We have to make him suffer... by controlling him to revive Hanzo Hasashi’s family with Wanda Maximoff’s powers”, the heroes gasped at the genius idea, as none of them thought about it.
“Wait, if you are reviving the lost family of one of us, I’m also taking the chance. My family was massacred by gangs”, Punisher said.
“Mine’s Phil Coulson”, Thor demanded.
“Me too”, Drax added. This conversation suddenly made Rocket think about his lost friends, Lylla the otter, Teefs the Walrus, and Floor the rabbit. Rocket wasn’t going to fail them this time.
“Guys, I want to revive my old friends too”, Rocket finally said.
“As you wish. We must force Quan Chi to revive them as much as possible”, Armin replied, keeping his evil smile. Wanda immediately got to work on the broken Quan Chi. Due to his broken state, Wanda could easily control the vile sorcerer to do their bidding.
“It’s nice to have some payback!”, Wanda exclaimed as she linked her mind to Hanzo, Punisher, Drax, and Rocket to understand the people they wanted to bring back. Wanda quickly ordered Quan Chi, who were stripped of his will.
“Revive them, as they were”, Quan Chi could not resist Wanda’s power and began to return Harumi Hasashi, Satoshi Hasashi, Maria Castle, Lisa Castle, Frank Castle, Jr., Phil Coulson, Ovette, Kamaria, Lylla, Teefs, and Floor back to life, to the heroes’ delight. Wanda released Quan Chi after the resurrections ended. Hanzo, Punisher, Drax, and Rocket had been finally reunited with the people they lost, as everyone smiled at the reunions. Quan Chi finally regained his consciousness. He realized Hanzo’s family had been resurrected, to his anger.
“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!”, Quan Chi yelled angrily. However, he couldn’t even move or lift a finger as Armin broke him in his Doomsday form, who smirked at the sorcerer with contempt.
“We made you do some good, starting with honoring the promise to bring back Hanzo Hasashi’s family, to giving people what they lost. After all, the last thing you would’ve wanted was to do some good, as you are pure evil. Now, we have no need for you anymore”, the genius explained.
“That’s way too genius”, Guy said.
“I think he’s even a better strategist than Batman!”, Kyle exclaimed. Armin was quick to tell the heroes what to do next, after he smiled at Guy and Kyle, whom he had ‘met’ in Hal’s memory.
“Smoke, cover the eyes of those who had been brought back, it would be too gruesome”, Smoke was quick to oblige and blinded Hanzo’s family, Frank’s family, Drax’s family, and Rocket’s friends with a white fog. Quan Chi was terrified for his very life, but there was no way the heroes were going to spare him. Suddenly, a grappling hook from Armin’s ODM gear impaled Quan Chi’s eyes, making the vile sorcerer scream in pain and fear from being blinded.
“FINISH HIM!”, Armin ordered. Bi-Han opened four shadow portals. Sareena, Sub Zero, Wonder Girl, and Thor took each one and put their blades inside. Instantly, the another four appeared at the location of Quan Chi’s broken limbs. Sareena’s kama, Sub Zero’s ice axe, Wonder Girl’s sword, and Thor’s Stormbreaker cut off Quan Chi’s limbs. Quan Chi, now limbless, screamed in pain, until a kunai impaled him in the chest.
“GET OVER HERE!”, Skorpion roared as he pulled Quan Chi toward him, tightening the grip on his chains. Quan Chi was now completely helpless, but he was not going out with total humiliation.
“MY GOD, WILL AVENGE ME!”, Quan Chi said with bravado in his voice, but the heroes laughed it off.
“DAMN YOUR GOD”, Skorpion said and ripped off Quan Chi’s head, ending the vile sorcerer’s life. Skorpion quickly tore off his mask and revealed the burning skull, which began to burn the beheaded limbless corpse of Quan Chi by breathing hellfire, soon there were only bones remaining. Skorpion wanted to toss the head into the flame, but Armin stopped him.
“No, not the head. The head has its uses. We need it to clear Bi-Han and Kara. We still need it”, the genius explained. Skorpion nodded as he tied the head to his belt, until turning to the genius soldier.
“Thank you. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t had been able to restore my family”, Hanzo said with gratitude.
“I should say, I’m damn good about finding the right answers”, Armin replied with a mischievous smirk, but the exhaustion and relief of Quan Chi finally dying had caught up to the soldier, which made him finally lose his consciousness. Kara and Cassie hurried to their friend, and held him in their arms.
“Is he...”, Cassie asked with anxiety, as she saw him ‘die’ once.
“He’s okay. I can hear his heartbeat, and I don’t want it to stop anymore”, Kara said as she held the unconscious body of Armin in her arms, who somehow managed to return them a smile.
