"I'm gonna pay the good doctor a visit. Then after that, I'm gonna go to a strip club. Don't bother me. Catnap said as he left the room. A low grumbling sound came from Chief Proto as Detective Chops thought hard on what actually happened in this room. The Smiling Critters were eliminating every way to see or hear into this room, that means that something was happening between the Smiling Critters and or Dogday with Catnap. But what? That is the question.
"Detective." Chief Proto says to get Baba Chop's attention. The black sheep looks over to her father who is staring at the doorway which Catnap had left from. The door is barely holding onto it's hinges.
"Keep an eye on the lieutenant. The next time you or I see or think something is awry, we will start surveillance." Chief Proto said to the detective who made a mental note of what the chief said. The day after Catnap's day off, Catnap was seen in Chief Proto's office, putting the plan into action. Throughout this past week, Detective Baba Chops and Chief Proto were keeping surveillance on Catnap, seeing his every move. Which was way easier to follow him when he purposely changed the case of Catnap to focus on a trafficking ring. The two didn't think that he would catch the guy so easily, nor would it trigger some PTSD and get him to get let off from the force. Getting Icky the promotion and Simon, his partner, was the new second in command, replacing Poe Allen. Detective Chops was also looking for a new gun, so that's a plus. And seeing how the relationship of Dogday and Catnap evolve makes for good bargaining chips in the future. Chief Proto seemed jealous though. The events after Catnap and Dogdays' coitus gave them the opportunity to strike.
"This works out perfectly." Chief Proto exclaimed with a wry smile.
"How so?" The detective asked her father, as she looked at him quizzically.
"Dr. Sawyer is a pretty fast worker, with the knowledge of the link between him and the clone, Catnap could be mine way faster than I thought." Chief Proto said as he took off the headphones he was wearing and stood up from the chair. He started to walk away as Baba did the same.
"I'm gonna get a helicopter and get the brigade ready, you can go on a vacation for a bit." Chief Proto said as they left the listening room. Shit, Baba Chops won't say no to free paid leave.

After that fight with Pianosaur, they locked him up inside of a room while Catnap finally got to meet the leader of the revolution. Poppy was sat down in front of another chair which Catnap went and took a seat on. Finally meeting the person face to face. She is a human lady with bright red hair, she used to be the old secretary that worked for President Pierre before she quit after only a month.
"Nice to finally meet you lieutenant." Poppy said, extending out here hand which Catnap takes.
"Just Catnap, think I'll be fired by the time Technofur City gets liberated." Catnap says as he scoffs a bit, getting a light smirk out of Poppy.
"You know, Dogday just has that kind of charisma to get anyone to switch to his side. He's just lucky you didn't tear him a new one right when he offered that choice to you." Poppy said as Catnap was reminiscing about how this all started. He was just offered a choice to join Dogday, and he replied that he wanted some time to think about it. Dogday, in turn, gave him a kiss and a time and a place. Then the two of them became boyfriends while working on a revolution to get the city out to the rest of the world. What kind of soap opera is he living in?
"Anyway, since you did pretty well on sending a message to Doey, maybe we could do a little trade with him. Pianosaur for his help against Chief Proto and the President of Technofur City, Leith Pierre." Poppy said as she twirled around the key ring which opened the door to where Pianosaur was held.
"We're gonna meet up with Doey again and try to hopefully negotiate with him?" Dogday says as he enters the room. Poppy throws the keys towards Dogday, and he catches them effortlessly.
"Of course. This may be some less than desirable circumstances, but I think we got a good shot now that we have a real defector on our hands." Poppy says as she gestures towards Catnap. Right, no one in both of the resistance groups had came from a government position or were under the payroll of Chief Proto, so maybe what Poppy is saying is actually gonna work...

Catnap, Dogday, the Smiling Critters, Poppy and Kissy Missy along with a tied up Pianosaur are out near the old tunnel system that was once used as a trap to eliminate Catnap.
"Well this just brings back memories, doesn't it?" Catnap remarks to Dogday beside him. He looks away from Catnap, looking a bit ashamed as Catnap tenderly cups his cheek and smiles.
"Hey, if you never sprung that trap on me, then we never would've gotten together." Catnap says as he playfully pats Dogday, getting a little chuckle from him. The moment is cut short from a couple of all black trucks driving up to where they're all situated. They drive until they come to a halt, then multiple people came out of the trucks, the group can see Doey, and Boxy-boo come out of the trucks and walk towards them, as others stayed by the trucks. Boxy-boo was actually formerly a human who wanted to live in Technofur City. Because of the critter laws, he couldn't, unless he was either hand picked to work with them, or he was a critter that was snuck in. He chose the latter, and now he's a strange looking creature that's stuck inside of a box. Doey, meanwhile, formerly known as Donnie Knead. Was a human nuclear power plant worker, and because of a minor accident, he fused with a large container of clay that he was carrying and is now a large mutated clay creature that's barely considered as a critter. The two figures walk up to the group who stop and have a mexican stand-off moment where no one does or says anything. That is, until Pianosaur breaks the silence, since his mouth couldn't be easily restrained.
"Hello?! Could you two carry me out of here now?!" Pianosaur demanded in a bright and musical voice, yet the tone in which he delivered it had a tone of malice, annoyance, and impatience. Doey rolled his eyes at this as Boxy had a small smirk before going back to neutral as Doey spoke.
"I'm surprised you kept him alive, but I know that you only kept him alive so that we could negotiate, hmm?" Doey said as he raised his eyebrow.
"You are correct in that, it's a simple request, really." Poppy said with a calm and composed expression, to which Doey crossed his arms and settled into a a different stance.
"And what would that be?" Doey asked Poppy as Boxy held his arms behind his back. Catnap and the rest of the Smiling Critters had hold of their weapons, ready to draw them if needed.
"A truce. We work together for our common goal, to overthrow President Pierre and Chief Proto so that Technofur City could open up to the rest of the world." Poppy said like she was negotiating for shareholders and investors to keep giving her money. Doey scoffed and rolled his eyes as he shook his head. He probably heard this many times in the past.
"That's the third time I heard that, now." Doey exclaimed as he threw his hands in the air. Doey then held his hand to his eyes as he frowned, almost like he already knew where this conversation was going. After putting his hand back to where he was, he took a deep breath.
"For the life of my friend and comrade, Pianosaur, I accept the truce." Doey said as he walked forward with his hand outstretched. Well that was easier than Catnap thought. Poppy smiled as she walked forward and took Doey's hand. The deal was cut short by the helicopter that was quickly headed towards them in the distance. Quickly, everyone got into their respective vehicles as the helicopter came close. Catnap and Dogday gets into Catnap's car as a shot rings out from the helicopter, barely missing the feline and hitting the cat. Everyone starts to drive away, Catnap gets onto the main road and quickly starts to drive back towards the city until another shot rings out. Catnap feels his car lose traction as the car starts to bump and skip, he figures out that the helicopter shot out one of his tires. Another shot rangs out and Catnap feels another tire explode. Catnap couldn't control the vehicle anymore as he swerves into an electrical pole and promptly gets knocked out.

Catnap could see Chief Proto pull Dogday out of his car as he slowly wakes up. When he sees this, he goes and shoves open the car door and stumbles outside. Catnap sees Dogday waking up and trying to push himself away from Chief Proto as he gets dragged away towards the helicopter on the ground. Catnap quickly pulls his ripcord to activate his bubble shield as he runs forward. Chief Proto sees this and tosses Dogday aside as he stops Catnap in his tracks and breaks off the antenna that was creating the bubble shield, which renders the shield permanently unable to activate. Catnap tries to fight back but he gets his head slammed down on the ground by Chief Proto's massive claws.
"No! Catnap!" Dogday screams out as Chief Proto drags Catnap's unconscious body onto the helicopter. Before Dogday could even get up, the helicopter is already flying up and leaving. Dogday tries to run after it but it's no use, his legs can't carry him anymore as he stumbles to his knees and tears fall down from his face. Poppy, the Smiling Critters, and Lost Haven pull up next to Dogday, seeing the helicopter fly away. Chief Proto cradles the unconscious Catnap on his lap as he gently runs his sharp claws through Catnap's fur. The brigade sees this and wonders how long Chief Proto had a crush on Catnap, as Poe fears for the safety of his partner and former lieutenant.
