Breakfast
(No One's POV)
A Head boy leads the Gryffindor first years up the staircase. Marie was in awe as the stairs they are moving! She would have to get used to all these new and amazing things! They made it to the dorm.
"Alright, class to your left is the girl's dorm, and boys' same to your right." He explains. "Your things have already been brought up."
Marie walked up to her dorm room. There were five beds in the room. Marie had her stuff lined up as the girls picked their beds.
"Hi." A red-headed green-eyed young woman says. "The name is Lily Evans." She speaks and holds out her hand.
"Nice to meet you, and I-I am Marie Rivera." Marie shakes her hand.
"Well, we can get to bed after we unpack. Do you want the window bed?" Lily asks Marie.
There are, two beds left, and one has a window next to it looking out the castle tower.
"Oh, I'm down for whatever," Marie says, smiling softly. She pulled out her nightgown from her luggage.
(Also, yes, Marie would be like, "But he's hot" I for most hot men here)

Lily nodded and slipped into a nightgown as well. They chose their beds and got in bed. Marie was so excited, and she was going to start wizard schooling tomorrow. She could not wait!
-Time Skip, Next Morning-
Marie dressed in the bathroom and raced out of the portrait with her sack. She was so excited she almost ran into Sirius. "Hey! Mar!" He says, picking a nickname for her. "Ready for breakfast? You can sit with me!"
She blinked. Oh, that's right, it's not like regular school..what an adjustment she'd have to make.
She gave a smile. "Sure, I-It'll be nice having a familiar face, and I already have so many questions." She said as he smirked. "Well, I may just be able to help."
He offers his arm, and she takes it as they walk down the halls and staircase."So, what do you think of Hogwarts?"
"Well, it's certainly magical." She said, laughing as she smiled. "I'm still not used to, you know. Paintings moving or the fact that I can perform magic- I'm actually e-excited about potions." She said.
"Oh, that is Professor Slughorn's class! Be careful, as he has a club for his favorite students." Sirius tells her
"Really?"
"Yeah, I heard it from some of my family members." He said as Marie blinked.
"Oh, well, I don't think I'll need to worry about that- I don't know anything about potions." She said.
"Neither do a lot of us, there are a few schools for young wizards, but we don't really get to practice a lot of magic. It's hard with how muggle-born families don't get in quite often. Most of the stuff is learning about wizard laws and history and such. I can help teach you some of it if you like." He says.
"Oh my god, really?"
"Of course, if there was one thing about my family..it's that I was fortunate enough to have tutors." He said, remembering those mind-numbing intensive sessions
"Oh, thank you!" She pulls him into a hug, kissing his cheek. "You are the best, Sirius."
He managed to get his blush under control and instead have a smirk.
"I know I am. Good to see you know it." He answered.
She smiled, and they made it down for breakfast. She got a plate of food and started to eat with Sirius, and that is when Remus and James came down. Remus takes the seat next to her while James sits on the other side of the table.
"Good morning Remus." She said, smiling at the boy, and turned to James, who was still putting on his glasses. "Morning, James."
"Morning, cutie," James says. "Looks like we got potions with the Slytherins."
Marie's smile widened, not hearing the small amount of disgust in his voice.
"Oh, wonderful, I hope I get to see Severus, I only saw him a bit yesterday, but he seemed nice."
"Oh, him," James says, glaring across the room at the young man, who was buttering his toast.
(Buttering his toast with that greasy hair-)
(XD MARIE XD Stop being so savage XD)
"Mmmmhmmmm, so what do you think we will learn today? I am so excited!" She gushes.
"Probably the advanced version of the basic potions to catch anyone up." "Wait, does that mean like... love potions are a thing?"
"Oh wow, how stereotypical," Sirius says sarcastically, and James joins in.
"You think we actually would have such a thing?" He said as a look of panic came to her face.
"Oh no! I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean to offend!"
"They are just teasing Marie," Remus says. "Yes, Love potions are a thing, we won't learn them until Year 6, and if you have a child with someone under a love potion, the child can never feel love."
Marie stopped. "T-That is so sad..." She says.
"Sometimes the magical world isn't all great.." Remus said as he looked down for a moment as Marie was about to say something.
"Yeah, well, they are kinda illegal. Well- they aren't easy to come by, very restricted. There are things kinda similar to it out there." James said.
"Oh yeah, like reversal love potions, in which the person drinks it. It has a temporary attraction pull to the opposite sex or same sex, depending on how you make it. Nicknamed love potion number nine." Sirius says. "And other ones. But a truly original love potion is illegal cause the children do not end up well, and it takes the free will from the person away."
"W-Wow... That is, I guess every part is not great..." She says. She did not think about the downside of magic.
"Hey, it is okay, Mar," James says. "No one will do that to you, and we would be lucky if you loved us of your own free will, and personally, I would want the REAL thing of your love!"
She blinked, confused, before making an oh face. "Ohhh, you were using that as an example. Duh, I was so confused. I was not worried about people using it, and it's just the only thing I could think of." She says, smiling.
(Girl- he was upfront, and she still managed to have it go over her head.)
(Poor Marie, just woosh XD)
James deflates at that, and Sirius smirks. Remus rolls his eyes and hides his smile with his book. They continued to eat then it was time for class.
