It's Up to Me
Chapter 12
____________
"As the owner of the Hogwarts, I have a duty to improve the castle. And after reading about so many subjects I thought I should add some of it to the school curriculum." Harry explained.
"Good. Headmasters of hogwarts alwayd remove a subject or two if they don't like it in their time as the headmaster. I think this dumbledore person is the one who removed the most subjects. Now what subjects do you like to add my heir?" Godric said. His smile turned to tight-lipped smile.
Harry nodded, "Nothing that should alarm everyone. For the first year I am going to add Magical theory, Wizarding culture and law and Latin. It is important we know them."
"Continue please." Salazar eyes gleamed.
"For the 2nd year, few languages like Latin, french, greek, german, globbledegook. They are elective subjects. basic Healing and everyday magic will be add to the core subjects. For the 3rd year, sexual education is important. healing, languages, occlumency, politics and law and dueling. For the 6th year, alchemy, warding, wandless magic will be add to the rest. So what do you think?" Harry asked, eyeing everyone with a keen eye.
"These subjects are alright Harrison." Charles smiled.
'I am so proud of you, my boy. You will be a fine king with time.'
"Might I suggest somethings Harrison?" Harry nodded at Godric.
"Get two teachers per subject. And you need to hire curse breakers to break the curse in the defense subject that I have heared. Also I think classes should not separated to just two houses. it's a waste of time. "
"Agree. In our time we do not separate the classes pre two houses."
"Oh.. That's good idea. I'll write it down. Anything else to add?"
"For now Harrison, it's enough. It is a big change after all. Remember to add full healer to the staff."
"Okay. Also I think we should hire another to be the deputy headmaster, head of the house. It's too much work. I don't know how professor Mcgonagall manage. She didn't even have time for us."
"Very well."

_______________
As the summer sun cast its warm glow over Hogwarts, the silence of the halls broke by the unexpected visit. Goblins, known for their business-like demeanor arrived at the castle gates, their presence casting a shadow over the sun-drenched grounds. Their purpose? To collect the remains of the basilisk slain in the depths of the Chamber of Secrets.
Professor McGonagall, standing tall and resolute, met them with a steely gaze. The deputy headmistress in Dumbledore's absence, stood firm in defense of the school's ownership of the creature's remains.
"It is our right to keep the basilisk," she declared firmly, her voice echoing across the courtyard.
"It is a part of Hogwarts's history and should remain within these walls. If we decide to sell its remains, the money should put on for the hogwarts improvement. It is nothing to do with you. What authority do you have?" But the goblins remained unmoved.
"According to wizarding law," one goblin began, his voice turned crisp, "if a wizard slays a beast or a creature, it rightfully belongs to the one who slay the beast."
McGonagall's heart sank as she realized the implications of their words.
"We have come at the request of Harry Potter himself," another goblin added, his tone leaving no room for negotiation.
"He has claimed ownership of the basilisk's remains, and we are here to collect them on his behalf."
"Very well."
With Dumbledore away at an ICW conference, McGonagall knew that she lacked the authority to challenge Harry's request. McGonagall couldn't help but feel a sense of defeat wash over her. Why Harry would do that? She has no idea but she hopes he will donate some money to the school. He is a kind boy. He will. Maybe Albus will. After all he is the boy's Magical guardian. Oh Albus..! When he heared the news, she is sure he wouldn't be happy. Maybe even angry.
_______________
As the goblins neared the entrance to the bathroom on the second floor, Harry removed the invisibility cloak on him and put it on the side pocket.
______________
The air grew colder as they descended into the depths of the castle, the dim light casting eerie shadows along the stone walls. Harry's heart raced with excitement, his mind filled with images of the legendary chamber that lay hidden beneath their feet.
Finally, they reached the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets, a massive stone door carved with intricate serpentine designs. Harry reached out and placed his hand upon the door, feeling the ancient magic beneath his fingertips. Parsel magic? He thinks so. He should ask Salazar.
"Open." The door slowly began to creak open, revealing the darkness that lay beyond. As they stepped into the chamber, the air grew heavy with the scent of damp earth and magic, sending a shiver down Harry's spine. He never felt this way when he was here last time. well he can't blame himself. After all he was running for his life. Merlin.. The magic! It's so so.. Powerful, pure gray and.. He dosen't even know what to think. And Harry heared the gasp of shock from goblins.
But it was not the darkness or the musty smell that caused the goblins to gasp in shock. It was what lay before them, illuminated by the dim light filtering in from above.
The basilisk, once a fearsome creature, lay coiled upon the cold stone floor, its massive form frozen in death. Its destroyed eyes stared out into the darkness, empty and devoid of life.
For the goblins, who had never seen such a creature in all their years, it was a sight that filled them with awe and wonder. They approached cautiously, their eyes wide with disbelief as they took in the sheer size and majesty of the basilisk before them. Their expressions reflecting a deep respect for the young wizard who had accomplished such a feat.
"Young Lord Gryffindor," one of the goblins spoke, his voice filled with admiration, "you have done what few wizards would dare to attempt. You have slain a basilisk, not even a small one, a thousands years old one." Another goblin nodded in agreement.
"Indeed," he said, "the basilisk is a formidable foe, feared by many. Yet you have faced it bravely and emerged victorious. Your skill and courage are truly commendable."
Harry shifted uncomfortably under their praise, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment. He had not sought out this confrontation with the basilisk; it had been thrust upon him by circumstances beyond his control. Yet he could not deny the sense of pride that swelled within him at their words.
"I... I did what I had to do, and It was... it was the right thing to do as well." Harry stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.
The goblins exchanged a knowing glance, their eyes twinkling with amusement.
"Modesty becomes you, young Lord Gryffindor," one of them said with a chuckle. "But let us not diminish your achievement. You have proven yourself to be a worthy wizard, deserving of the respect and admiration of all."
"Thank you.." Harry said, still blushing. "I will leave you to your work."
"Very well. Be careful young Lord Gryffindor. If you need something, call us." A caption of the goblin team Zilthar said.
"I will." Harry nodded.
Leaving the goblins, Harry approached the statue the basilisk came from. His brow furrowed in concentration, revealing his deep focus and intense curiosity as he studied the intricate details of the statue. As he examined the statue more closely, Harry realized that it bore little resemblance to Salazar Slytherin. Probably his son or relative.
Harry sighed and spoke the same words Tom riddle spoke.
"Speak to me, Slytherin, greatest of the Hogwarts Four."
The statue responded with a low rumble, and the stone mouth slowly began to creak open, revealing a dark passageway beyond. Harry hesitated for a moment, his heart pounding in his chest. Lifting himself using magic Harry step into the chamber inside the mouth. And then Harry gasped, freezing and stare with wide eyes.
'Oh hell no..!"
