Draco Malfoy was sitting in the three broomsticks having a drink when he felt squashed, looking from left to right he saw the identical smirks of Fred and George. "What?"
"We hear you want to get to know us all a bit better with you dating our brother the dragon tamer." George said.
"So. Who better to start off with than… us?"
Draco looked from one to the other. "Stop smirking, you are making me nervous."
"Us make someone nervous? Never." George grinned.
"Now then Draco, how about we have a little bet. If you lose you have to go without your hair products and pampering stuff we know you use too much of. You'd be just like us, get up, wash and throw on the first thing your hand touches even if it doesn't match." Fred stated.
Draco glared at both twins. "Okay, but if I win. You two have to go without your business for a full week which includes no making or creating or coming up with ideas, you have no contact whatsoever with the shop or with anything to do with the shop."
"But we run it." The twins said in unison.
"I will run it for a week. Me. Who has no experience. And whatever gets made that week I get to give to someone in need." Draco added.
Fred and George stood up and walked away a little and talked before coming back looking slightly defeated. "You have a deal." George sighed.
"Great." Draco answered as he shook the twins' hands. "What's the bet?"
Fred gave a mischievous grin. "There is a ball next week. You have to get Severus to dance for all to see."
Draco stared at the twins and scoffed as he stood up. "That's it? At least give me a challenge." He laughed as he walked away. Missing the identical grins on Fred and George's faces.
Harry walked out of the bedroom in clean clothes, rubbing his hair dry with a towel and smiled at Draco who was kneeling on the floor playing with Lily, his and Severus' four year old daughter. "Thank you Draco." He sighed as he sat down and ran his hand over his growing stomach. "Why Lily finds it funny to rub chocolate covered fingers through my hair I don't know."
Draco laughed. "That's okay, it gives me an excuse to be with my goddaughter." He answered as he handed Lily another crayon.
Just then the floo flared and Charlie stepped through. "Oh here you are, I tried our rooms and staffroom looking for you Draco. Tell me it's not true." He asked as he knelt by Draco and gave Lily a little tickle in a way of greeting.
Draco frowned. "What?"
"Fred and George have told me you did a bet with them."
"Ha!" Harry laughed. "Oh you haven't?"
"Yeah and I'm not worried as this is easy."
Charlie groaned. "Dragon… when something sounds easy where my brother's are concerned… it never ever is."
"What was the bet?" Harry asked.
"The ball next week. I have to get Severus to dance in front of everyone."
Harry started to laugh and actually had to hold his stomach as he couldn't stop laughing and Charlie groaned again.
Charlie put his hand on Draco's arm. "Draco, sadly we missed Harry and Severus' wedding as we were in Romania while I was finishing up to move back home."
"Yeah. I know, but Harry himself said Severus danced so it will be easy to do."
Harry finally stopped laughing to talk. "Draco, Severus did dance at our wedding. Behind closed doors. Under the sheets in bed."
Charlie cleared his throat. "Draco think about it. I mean I know it as I am the most comfortable out of all my family Harry feels comfortable telling everything to. This is Severus."
Harry leaned forward. "Draco, it took me and Severus being together a year before he would even hold my hand in public and then he'd let go if someone who looked at us longer than a second. He even hated it when we had to kiss in front of everyone to seal our marriage, he threatened the photographer if he took a photo of the kiss he'd use his balls for potion ingredients." Harry chuckled and leaned forward and patted Draco's shoulder. "And you have to get him to dance at the ball next week? Good luck."
Draco looked at Lily who giggled.
"Silly uncle Draco."
The next day Draco walked into the Headmasters office to see Severus sat at his desk. "You wanted to see me?"
"Yes. I hear you made a bet with the twins involving me."
Draco frowned. "Who told you?"
"My daughter tells me everything. Looks like you will be losing."
"What? No Severus please, you have to help me. This is a chance to get your own back on the twins. Come on, all those years teaching, the stuff they did."
"Tell me all the bet and details." Severus sighed and sat and listened to everything. "If you win… what will you do with the money you earn in that week? Where will you donate it?"
"I don't know. It has to be something that they don't approve of but with it being a donation they can't argue against it in public."
Severus hummed as he leaned back. "Leave it with me."
Draco stood up. "Does that mean you will dance?"
"I said leave it with me." Severus answered and continued with his paperwork, silently dismissing Draco.
An hour later Harry walked into the office and kissed Severus hard.
"What has you in a good mood?" Severus asked.
"I've just come back from the Quidditch match, Gryffindor are in the final against Slytherin and if they play how they did today then Slytherin doesn't stand a chance."
Severus hummed. "We'll see. Slytherin do have a good team this year."
"They do. But Gryffindor has a better one." Harry laughed and kissed his husband again before going into their rooms, leaving Severus to his work.
Draco was sitting at his desk in his office when the floo flared and Severus stepped through. "The ball next week. Here is what is going to happen…"
Fred and George walked into the Great hall and saw it all decorated up to celebrate the anniversary of the war ending. Looking around they saw Draco talking with Harry at the drinks table. They looked across and saw Severus watching over all the students in the room, using his wand to separate students whose hands started to wander.
"He won't even let students get close and touch. We've got this bet in the bag Freddie." George grinned with his brother nodding in agreement.
Harry walked over to Severus. "Will you stop parting the students? They are here to enjoy themselves."
"Yes. Not molest each other, we do have younger eyes here also that never seems to miss anything." Severus answered as he looked down to see Lily watching everyone while holding her father's hand.
Severus placed his hand on Harry's stomach. "One month to go, you feel uncomfortable at all you let me know."
Harry smiled. "I will." He said before leaning up and placing a kiss on Severus' cheek, laughing at the grumble his husband made at the display of affection.
It was one hour into the ball and Severus looked over at the twins, and since they arrived he had noticed them watching him closely with grins on their faces while checking their watches. Time to act….
He walked over to Lily and picked her up. "Are you enjoying yourself?"
"I am. So many pretty dresses."
"You have enough of those." Severus said as he looked around and spotted his husband standing on his own as he watched everyone dancing. He walked over and took his husband's hand. "Are you feeling alright?"
Harry sighed. "Yeah, just watching everyone dance."
Severus looked closely at Harry before inwardly sighing. "Let's join them."
Harry looked wide eyed at Severus. "What?"
"I won't offer again."
Harry laughed and pulled his husband and daughter on the dance floor.
Draco hurried over to the twins and pointed his finger from one to the other. "Ha! In your faces!"
Fred and George were about to ask what Draco was on about when they saw Severus holding Lily on his hip while his free arm went around Harry as all three were dancing. "Merlin's balls!" Fred snapped.
George looked at Draco. "How did you do it?"
"Severus knew about the bet."
"You can't do that." Fred said.
"You never stated he couldn't know. All I had to do was get Severus to dance, you never stated he couldn't know in order to get him to dance." Draco laughed and waved his wand in a complex pattern over the twins.
"What did you just do?" George asked.
"Severus taught me a spell. Good luck in trying to invent, create, sell, spy, or go into a shop or have anyone to find out how your business is doing."
"What will happen to us if we do?" Fred asked.
"Let's just say, all the things you did to yourself while experimenting and what happened to you both, will be child's play to what will happen if you try and have anything to do with the business. It wears off one week from now."
Severus walked over to Fred, George and Draco along with his daughter and Harry. "This is a ball, why do you twins look so miserable?" He smirked.
Fred looked at Harry. "Draco cheated with the bet, Severus knew."
"I told father." Lily giggled.
"Harry, how dare you raise a Slytherin." George said.
"I will be watching Draco's classes for the week. Have fun at the shop Draco." Severus smirked before looking at Fred and George. "Don't bet with Slytherins. You won't win. Especially with me."
It was a week later when Draco jumped as two people came crashing through the door of the joke shop. He laughed. "Oh I bet it killed you so much! I have to say though, no wonder you two are always laughing, the amount of money I made this week."
George picked up a sheet and went pale. "You did a half price on everything??"
"He did what?" Fred asked as he snatched the sheet off his twin to have a look.
"Well you never stated I couldn't, I actually made a lot of money that way, I had to have Charlie and Blaise come and help me, I mean customers were queueing outside the door before we opened at eight."
"Eight? We open at nine!" Fred snapped.
Draco shrugged his shoulders. "Again, you never said. I'll just take my week's money."
"Yeah take it and piss off." George grumbled.
Draco laughed and left the joke shop.
It was two weeks later and the stands on the Quidditch pitch were full. It was the final match of the year. Slytherin Vs Gryffindor.
Severus looked up and smirked at the twins. "Just in time. Come and sit."
The twins sat down and looked around Severus to see Draco. "What have you done with the money you got?" Fred asked but before Draco could answer, Severus shushed him as the game was about to start.
Within thirty minutes of the game starting, the whistle blew with madam Hooch stating the snitch had been caught by the Slytherin seeker resulting in Slytherin winning the cup.
"What!?!?" Harry, Fred and George cried out in disbelief.
Severus smirked and stood up, putting his wand to his throat."Silence!" He shouted and waited for the cheering to stop before speaking. "A very well done Slytherin team, you played with skill and speed, you have won the cup. I would like you to all fly over to the teachers stand and come and thank Fred and George Weasley, for if it wasn't for their donation which paid for all of you to have the best broom's you wouldn't have been able to win it as fast as you did. The Slytherin house have won the Quidditch cup thanks to the Gryffindor pranksters. Come and thank them team."
Fred and George glared at Draco and Severus. "You used our money to pay for new brooms to help Slytherin beat Gryffindor?" George snapped.
"We helped Slytherin beat Gryffindor?" Fred cried out in frustration just as the Slytherin team stopped in front of them all.
Severus looked at the twins. "Consider this a lesson. Never bet where it involves me."
The end.
