The Potters' house

There was a short moment of silence before Regulus broke it.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU HAVE NO IDEA?!?!" He screamed.
"Don't worry, I've done this lots of times before." Sirius assured his younger brother, who was looking like a mix of panicked and angry.
"What the fuck do you mean "don't worry", I should worry." Regulus argued, "We're lost in Merlin knows where and you tell me not to worry."
"It's no problem.", Padfoot soothed, "Have you eaten anything?"
"Yea, sure." Reg answered absentmindedly, looking around for clues.
"Reggie, you have got to be honest with me! Have you eaten anything today?" He repeated.

Silence again, Regulus looked paralyzed. He didn't know what to answer.
"No...maybe..." Regulus stammered.
"Alright?", Sirius thought for a moment, "Are you hungry?"
After a second of looking at his brother he added, "You can tell me, I won't judge or laugh or punish. If you're hungry we'll go eat something."
"Yeah, I think I could eat something." Regulus replied.
"Great."

Sirius had, by now, found a way to get to James' house. They couldn't take the knight bus or eat anywhere owned by wizards and witches. Walburga might find them if they did.

Therefore Sirius and Regulus Black were wandering through muggle villages, trying to find the right train station, gat would take them at least close to their friend's house.

"Is that it? Sirius u think that might be it." Regulus pointed at a sign saying "night train".
"Yeah, that's what the woman from earlier told us." He agreed.
"Wonderful." Regulus smiled.

Sirius bought tickets for the both of them and they entered the train. It all went smoothly and everything seemed at ease and calm until they were standing in front of James' house.

"What now?" Reg asked, half hiding behind his brother.
"I'll knock." He proclaimed as he proceeded to knock slowly.

First there was a scary kind of quiet and then footsteps heard.
"Oh Merlin this was a mistake" Sirius thought, as he put his body Infront of Regulus', creating a shield for his younger brother.
"Hello?" A man's voice asked.
Sirius' breathing quickened as his heart began pounding.
"Who's there?" The man said again, stepping further outside.
"James..." Padfoot questioned.
"Yeah, Sirius is that you?" James inquired.
"Yeah, I'm sorry." Siri apologized.
"Come in, it's bloody 12:05 at night." Prongs acknowledged.

"Here, Siri your guest bedroom, the exact way you left it last summer, except it's a bit more clean." James motioned towards a bed, standing in the middle of a room.
The room was large and additionally to the bed there were a wide closet and a nicely decorated desk. Everything was colored in the typical Gryffindor colors.

"Thanks Jamie." Sirius entered the room and threw himself on to the bed, paying no attention to his brother still standing in the hallway.
James closed the door to Sirius' room.
"James?" Regulus asked weakly.
"Don't worry I didn't forget you." Prongs smiled, walking further down the hall, "Well, I don't really have a room set up for you. So, you could either sleep with me in my bed since we're kind of dating anyway or you could get a generic guest room."
"Erm, I don't want to disturb you in any way..." Reg whispered.
"Believe me you wouldn't disturb me in any way, at all. I love having you near me." James assured.
"What about your parents?" Reggie inquired.
"I'll tell them, they support me unconditionally." Jamie stated.
"And Sirius, what would he say or do?" Regulus worried.
"If he asks I'll just tell him. He'll have to accept it eventually." James proclaimed.
"And it really wouldn't bother you if I slept with you in your bed?" Regulus assured himself once more.
"Are you kidding? My bed is gigantic. Come along." Prongs laughed.

Regulus followed James to his room, lying down in bed with him. He fell asleep quickly, better than at home.

The following morning James left his room to go find his parents.

"Morning mom." He greeted.
"Good morning James." His mother replied.
"Hey mom, did you hear knocking last night?" James asked cautiously.
"Yes, why? Who was it?" Euphemia questioned.

"It was Sirius, with his brother Regulus." James hesitated.
"Oh, dear. Did you get everything sorted out?" Effie worried.
"Mom...I need you to believe me when I say this..." Prongs warned.
"I'll be cool." She smiled.

"Mom, I think this is the final thing. I'm pretty sure they've both run away now." James assumed.
"Oh. Well, they can always stay here." Euphemia assured.
"I know. Maybe don't bring it up to them, I don't know how much they've talked about it..." He suggested.

"I just remembered, we have Sirius' room set up but we were going to start on Regulus' today. Did you find him a room, dear?" She made sure.
"That's another thing I wanted to talk to you about." James began.
"You can tell me anything." His mother offered.
"I am dating Regulus. Sirius doesn't know and I will tell him eventually, but I think Regulus feels more comfortable sleeping with me in my room." Prongs proclaimed.
"What? You and Lily broke up? Why didn't you tell me?" Euphemia sounded hurt.

"We didn't break up, mom. I am in a polyamorous relationship with the both of them." James admitted.
"Oh thank God!" She smiled.
"Shouldn't you be shocked or something?" Jamie asked.
"I don't care what kind of relationship you're in, I'll always love you. You're my son for crying out loud." His mother argued, "I was worried that you were scared or unwilling to tell me about a break up you went through, I want you to be able to talk to me. That and I really like Lily."
"Oh, ok then. And I think my bed is big enough to fit three people." James stated.
Euphemia smiled at her son, "I love you so much, I hope you know that."
"I know mom. I love you too." He replied.

Just a moment later a sleepy Regulus arrived in the kitchen.
"Morning babe" Prongs teased.
"Morning" Reg reacted, turning to James' mother lowering his head slightly, "Good Morning Mrs. Potter."
"Good Morning Regulus, dear." Effie smiled.

"You don't have to be all tense Reggie." James assured, "You're safe here, I promise."
"Sorry"
"Don't worry. What would you like to eat" Mrs. Potter asked.
"I- don't need to eat..." Reg stammered.
"What do you mean Regulus?" Euphemia inquired.
"You gotta eat!" Prongs interjected.
"I don't want to be a nuisance or use up any resources." Regulus argued.
"You're not using up anything, eat something." James' mother assured.
"I'm sorry, I will"
