School with the marauders
Monday 8:53am
"James! For Merlin's sake hurry the fuck up" Remus yelled
"I told you not to wait for us" Sirius stated
"I thought you'd only be like a few minutes late" Remus defended
"It isn't that bad" James shrugged
"We missed breakfast!" Remus screamed
"Eh" Peter shrugged as well
The boys picked up their speed, arriving at their first class at exactly 8:58am.
"Apologies Professor!" Remus excused as they entered the class room
"No problem Mr Lupin, you're not late yet" McGonagall assured
"Sorry Professor" James said as he went to sit next to Lily
"So! Let's start today's lesson" the professor said as the room quieted down at once
"I have an announcement first. To my Gryffindors I am thoroughly impressed. I did not need to clean up much and I didn't see much alcohol. I hope none of the younger students drank the alcohol. I did have to arrange a bit of sleeping space for some students of other houses. But kudos to the older students and the prefects" professor McGonagall explained
"I apologize for the long announcement, let's commence" she exclaimed
Sirius was so incredibly bored, he just wanted to leave and...ugh. Why did he even need to attend school for these last weeks. He just wanted to leave. Remus must be so happy to be learning again.
Monday, 12 o'clock, Lunch
"Ey James wait up, mate" Peter yelled
"James you're going to fast" Remus added
"Alright" James agreed
"Yo, I am happy that we have Lunch now cuz Lunch is great but...I don't want a double period of potions" Sirius groaned
"I like potions" Lily smiled
"Yeah...it's not the problem that it's potions, it's Snape" Remus explained
"No matter what you do and who you are, he's gonna be a smug arse anyway" Peter continued
"You're great at potions and surpass him, he hates you because you "cheated'' " James added
"You're not great at potions or you're just not good enough to surpass him, he hates you because you're inferior" Pete took over
"Wow, I never noticed it that way" Lily stated, "to me he always just seemed ambitious"
"Well you're friends with the guy" James elaborated
"Were" Lily cleared up
Sirius raised an eyebrow at her reaction
"We were friends. He started behaving disgustingly sweet at first and then just started to insult my intelligence ever since I started dating James" Lily clarified
"Oh that little-" James started getting mad
"James stop" Lily called out, "this is my battle, not yours"
"Alright...ok" James agreed
"I love lunch. I'm hungry and I'm needy" Sirius declared
"Maybe you wouldn't be as hungry if you hadn't missed breakfast" Remus interjected
"Maybe" he agreed
"Well no reason not to eat now" Peter added
"Yes" Lily agreed
"Hey James" Lily whispered, "are you ever going to tell me who that boyfriend of yours is?"
"Mmmmm" James hesitated, "you're gonna hate me and him"
"Do I know him?" she asked
"Yeah" he replied
"Alright...is it..." Lily tried to guess while looking around the great hall, "...Regulus"
James' eyes widened and he started to faintly blush
"What", he stuttered, "how'd you know"
"Well, he keeps looking over to you. It's not like usually when he looks over at Sirius and then looks away" she explained, "he keeps actually staring at you"
"Wow" James acknowledged
"What up with you two?" Remus questioned
"Nothing really" James answered
"Alright, well Pedfoot wants to go up to the dormitory after Lunch, if we find the time." Remus stated
"Forgot my potions book and Slughorn will actually murder me this time" Sirius clarified
"Do any of you need something from the dorms?" Remus inquired
"Not me" Peter proclaimed
"Me neither" James
"Ok"
Even though lunch had started without the two boys as they went to retrieve the potions book, the both of them did end up having enough time to eat.
"I still hate potions and I hate Snivellus" Sirius groaned
"Why am I coming up here with you again?" Remus pitied himself
"Because you love me?" Sirius teased
"Yes, probably" Remus agreed
"I'm not going to do anything to Snivellus, y'know" Sirius defended himself
"I know, you'd have already done so otherwise" the brown haired boy acknowledged
"Why thank you" the other boy flirted

Potions was terrible as always, Remus participating, Lily getting everything right, Snape being smug about everything he got correct and James and Sirius planning to murder Snape...or at least kill off some of his ego.
Sirius wasn't particularly bad at potions but he just wasn't his brother. His brother never got grades below Exceeds Expectations. He was always too bad for his parents. Sirius' grades were perfectly fine, more over great, yet for his mother it just wasn't ever enough.
He knew that any failing grade meant punishment so he made sure to only go as low as an Acceptable on only a few occasions.
Sirius always brought home good grades.
Regulus always brought home better grades. Sirius was sure his parents put way more pressure on Regulus ever since he'd stopped caring about their approval. He was worried that one day an Outstanding won't be enough for them anymore.
Sirius knew his parents and that was the reason he had to take Reggie with him.

It was dinner time and the group of Gryffindors sat down at their table.
"Yesssss" Sirius hissed, holding his timetable
"What is it Siri?" Remus asked his lover
"Oh, erm. We have herbology together, tomorrow in the morning." Sirius explained
"That's neat, I like herbology." Remus commented
"I bloody love herbology" Sirius stated
"I know hun" Remus acknowledged
Sirius continued his rant about magical plants in the way back to their dorm, even dragging Remus away as Lily and James said good night.
"I love you Sirius"
"I love you too Moony"
"Goodnight my darling"
"Night my dear"
