Regulus was sitting in the car with Evan. He and Evan have been best friends since childhood, and not once has Regulus seen his best friend like this. Evan was in love, so much that Regulus was getting worried for him.
Evan was never the type of guy to fall in love, he had dated before but never said the "L" word. He still hasn't but Regulus could read it in his face. It's not like Regulus was a professional reading faces or minds, but he was confident about his closest friend.
The worst thing about all of this is seeing Evan doing nothing and everything at the same time. He is so in love that, Evan himself is confused as to what to do. He doesn't ask Regulus for help, he thinks Regulus don't know. The inner battle of Evan is so crystal clear for Regulus.
Sitting in the car,
waiting outside his school.
Evan and Regulus were waiting for Evan's lover to leave school. He didn't have anyone to pick him up from school, and Evan like always offered. It was not like Regulus didn't like him, he really did. He is close to Regulus, just like he was with Evan.
Regulus looked at Evan as he smoked As time passed, he wondered how much Evan wanted him, but couldn't say a single word about it. Evan hadn't even told Regulus about it, it was just Regulus who was so good at reading people.

Regulus was watching a movie. He was watching his two friends slowly falling in love but choosing to be blind. It was like a barrier was in between them, he wished he could just remove the barrier. Regulus knew his friend, he was also not a guy who would love you properly. Regulus knew Evan would have his heart broken if he got too close. Evan knew this too, yet he just kept getting closer and closer.

Regulus knew many people in love, his brother, his other friends, and himself but Evan was different kind of crazy. Evan had problems, in his home, his life was hard and even after that he was chasing and chasing. Evan lived like he was a character that had to do his mission while loving a person like it's breathing.
It was desperate, the way Evan loved. "I want to kiss you" was written on Evan's face, whenever he saw him. Evan might be just scared of rejection, but only Regulus knew that rejection was not a word in his friend's mind when it came to Evan.

Many people who knew Barty, might consider him a person who wasn't that kind, who had a small heart. Regulus was Barty's best friend and he knew one thing about Barty, and that was Barty had the biggest heart, he had so much in his heart, but the main thing was Evan.
Barty was the guy who fuck and move on, but not this time. Regulus was in shock when Barty told him that he would not do that anymore until Regulus realized why. It was because of Evan, and he was correct as Barty told him all.
Barty told Regulus everything, how Barty couldn't help but be in love with Evan. He just wanted Evan to be with him all the time, everywhere he went, he wanted Evan to follow him. if as best friends, then be it.
He complained to Regulus, he didn't know what to do. He wasn't sure if Evan felt the same. Barty was helpless and hopeless. Regulus was exhausted by mutual pining and so he did his job.

Regulus hated to do this, but he had to. Regulus told everything Barty said to Evan. It would just bring his closest friend closer, only opening their eyes. They can get mad at Regulus, he wouldn't care as long as they would be happy. They both were two of the craziest people Regulus had met.
So he told Evan everything, and Evan realized how foolish he had been. Evan first thought that Regulus might be joking or pulling a prank but when he saw how serious Regulus was, he considered talking to Barty.
"He doesn't know what to do. He is crazy, always chasing you while facing the world" Regulus said, "He's got to be crazy" Evan replied.
