Momentarily
I need to get out.
The voice in his head chanted over and over, frantic and desperate, like a command; controlling him like the Imperio curse.
It felt like some ancient magic had wrapped around his very veins, poisoning him with its filthy, tainted DNA and forcing his body to work itself, change itself.
Draco had no control over himself whatsoever, and he felt utterly hopeless, but so powerful at the same time.
What was happening with him?
Maybe he was stressed to be kept in such a tight place, such a dirty, dusty space.
He slammed a heavy tail on the floor. He could only hear the thuds, not feel the heavy, scaly white object. Like it wasn't attached to his body itself.
Maybe that's why it can move, Draco thought.
If the tail wasn't part of his body, could he move it?
The situation was very confusing for Draco, who was getting a headache just by thinking about it.
But most importantly, he had eaten someone- and he had liked it.
Draco still remembers the drool that formed in his gums when he sunk his teeth into Weasley and Granger's hands. He wanted to bite them off, to devour their fingers and feel their tendons melt in the fiery pit of his stomach.
He wanted to absorb them.
And it absolutely disgusted him.
Draco whipped the tail back and forth, ravenging the small room viciously.
That's when he saw the small trap door on the floor, peeking out at him from the cracks of the rotten wood.
Something giant tore from his spine and ripped the flesh of his entire back, tapping against the ceiling with sharp claws and rock-hard scales.
"We went through all that trouble just for him to be gone!" Ron bellowed, his face red with anger.
Fred crossed his arms, eyeing the humped back of the witch statue, squinting his eyes.
"Well," he chimed, "he could've only gone one way."
Harry stared down at the truth potion in his clenched hand, sprawling and swirling; taunting.
"Hogsmeade."
Hermione was biting at her lower lip nervously, her frizzy hair bounced as she rolled her heels nervously.
"What if he hurt someone? Oh, he probably has!"
