A New Wardrobe - Part Two

Hadrian and Bellamy reviewed different fabrics that Hadrian had chosen, picking colours that would go with the fabrics. When they were done Bellamy pulled out another catalogue. Bellamy opened it between them and showed him all the different types of styles of clothing.

When they were about half an hour in there was a knock on the door. Bellamy stopped mid-sentence and smiled. Getting up he goes to open the door and a young woman comes in pulling a rail of clothing.

"Thank you Sophia" Bellamy says as he takes the railing from Sophia, who Hadrian presumes is an assistant.

Bellamy turns back to him and beams as he motions for Hadrian to come to him. Hadrian gets up and walks over to Bellamy, who pulls one of the bagged outfits off the railing.

"Try this on Hadrian, it is enchanted to change to your size and automatically clean itself so no need to worry about previous people wearing it" Bellamy smiles reassuringly. Confused, Hadrian takes the bag but doesn't move.

"Right... Hmm... We do have outfits premade, the ones in the catalogue, that customers can try on. The outfits have many enchantments so that they can fit every body type. They also have auto repair, clean and sterilize so that its as if the first time it's been worn" Bellamy explained. Hadrian nodded no longer confused. He didn't have a problem wearing clothes that were enchanted to clean themselves after each customer. After all, he was used to wearing Dudley's cast-offs.

"Why don't you go to the changing room and try this on?" Bellamy encouraged with a smile.

"Okay" Hadrian responded and walked to the changing room. When he got there he was surprised at the size. It had a full-length mirror a railing to the left and a bench to the right. Putting the garment bag up on the railing he unzipped it and gasped when it revealed a black three-piece suit.

Hadrian had always wanted to wear a suit after seeing Dudley in one. Looking at this suit, Hadrian couldn't help but feel more important than Dudley. After all, it wasn't just a suit but a fancy one.

Hadrian changed into the suit and looked at himself. He still wasn't used to his new...real looks, but he was still surprised by how good he looked. The suit was perfect and made Hadrian feel like a lord. It was soft and tight but not too tight. Hadrian did a squat and stretched as if he was going to play quidditch. Happy with the results, he beamed at his reflection.

Staring at his old clothes, he slumped, frowning at the old worn clothes. Sadly, he had to put them back on. He wasn't confident enough to go out in just underwear, even if he didn't look like a living corpse anymore.

Walking back out, he reached Bellamy, who had a raised eyebrow.

"I love it!" Hadrian stated, almost bouncing back to Bellamy, who smiled.

"Then we shall order many!" Bellamy beamed. Hadrian nodded, he would love that. Putting the suit back on the railing, he searched through the other clothing.

Hadrian and Bellamy had spent hours going through different types of clothing, making swatches of fabrics and colours that would go with it.

Hadrian had added fifty shirts in black, white, and shades grey, navy, and green into the scanner adding it to the basket in his registry account. He had normal suits in black, dark shades of grey, green, and navy.

He also added vests and waistcoats in different fabrics such as velvet and cotton using the colours navy, green, black, and grey.

Hadrian chose tailcoats instead of robes, most of which were done in dark colours with silver buttons and clasps. He also ordered some frock coats in dark navies and blacks with gold embroidery that were mostly for parties and events. Hadrian didn't know how to feel about that...

Hadrian also got fifty pants, mostly black, but there were some darker colours, mostly to match suits.

When it came to ties, Bellamy seemed to get even more excited. The ties had even more colours than all the other clothes. Apparently not may lords wore ties or had them hidden behind robes.

Hadrian was also sure that he didn't need over twenty belts, but Bellamy was so happy he couldn't say no. Hadrian also added over thirty different scarfs in greys, navies, and dark shades of other colours.

Hadrian also got lots of loungewear clothing, mostly in cotton but some in satin and wool. They were mostly grey with hints of navy and greens. He blushed when it came to underwear but settled on cotton briefs and socks.

Then it was time for shoes. Hadrian didn't know there were so many different types and styles. He settled on ten oxford style shoes in blacks and browns. He also was convinced to buy a few loafers in dark shades. He also got boots of different lengths in blacks, browns and greys.

Surprisingly, the also had sneakers which Hadrian loved. Most of them were in black but a black and gold pair caught his eyes. They had golden snitches, stitched into the dark fabric he added three pairs to the scanner. He also got slippers and a few pairs of sandals.

Hadrian also fell in love with a leather jacket that was made with dark green dragonhide, so dark that he was sure it was black at first.

Hadrian also got swim wear and even a few flip flops, which Bellamy frown at but then rolled his eyes.

Sadly he had to make an appointment for battle gear, luckily he booked one for tomorrow and he could collect his clothes then too.

Once they were done, Hadrian changed into one of his new outfits. A simple grey cotton shirt with black slacks, a black belt and shiny black shoes with a charcoal tailcoat. He felt amazing and couldn't believe how soft and comfortable the clothes were.

Hadrian and Bellamy then headed to the checkout, and Bellamy scanned the scanner wand against a large rock that had runes carved into it.

"That will be fifteen thousand, two hundred and fifty seven Galleons, eighteen sickles and three knuts" Bellamy stated as he read the cash register. Hadrian tried not to gape at the steep price. He has never bought clothes before but was still surprised by the amount.

Shaking his head he pulls out his gold Gringotts bank card and handed it over to Bellamy who eyes widen slightly at the card before taking it and tapping on a rune carved red gem. It glowed and he was handed back the card.

"Remember your appointment will be at 4pm tomorrow and your clothes will be ready too" Bellamy reminded Hadrian.

"I know, I can't wait!" Hadrian says as he pockets his bank card.

"Might I suggest you visit Madam's Cosmetics and Accessories?" Bellamy says as he tears off the receipt.

"They have things for men too, such as watches but I think some collar clips and chains would really complement your wardrobe!" Bellamy gushed. Hadrian didn't know what collar clips and chains were but Bellamy hasn't stirred him wrong yet so he will have a look even if they sound weird but what in the wixen world doesn't?

"I will check it out, thanks! How do I get there from here?" Hadrian asked. Bellamy's smile widened, and he started giving directions. Which was pretty simple since it was only a five-minute walk.

The shop looked simple enough, it had big windows like all the other shops, the rest was painted brown. Hadrian entered and was surprised by the layout. At the very back of the shop was a counter with the cash register. Then there were tables with seats, it looked more like a café then a jewellery shop. On one side of the wall was a collection of some type of cylinder hose that held different kinds of chains. On the other side were wood storage shelves that all had small cubbies. Behind the counter were full-length bookshelves. Hadrian presumed they were more catalogues only holding chains and gems instead of fabrics.

"Hello, my name is Bridget! How may we help you?" a woman's voice sounded from behind. Hadrian jumped, not noticing anyone coming up behind him. He would have to be more careful. Turning, he saw a woman who looked to be in her early forties. Her red hair was loose, giving a sense that she was approachable and nice. Hadrian hoped it was true.

"Hi, um... I was doing some shopping in Twilfitt and Tattings and the co-owner Bellamy said that I should head here and have a look?" Hadrian says mumbling at the start which caused a small blush, he could feel his ears heating up.

"Aww, Bellamy always sends customers our way, although not ones that wouldn't benefit from shopping here. So what did he suggest? We can start there!" Bridget says as she leads Hadrian to a table and sits down. Hadrian follows and sits down.

"Well Bellamy suggested something called collar clips and chains, he also said you sold watches" Bridget eyes sparkle as he answers.

"I love selling collar clips and chains. I make them myself, you see. My father was a muggleborn and worked in an office. He had this collar clip, although he called it a collar grip, that was a simple, almost pin like in appearance, that would go under his tie and reach his collar. I remember when I was young that I would look at them; he had so many, but they were all so simple. When I started my Jewellery apprenticeship, I worked on making them better. Bigger and adding things to them. I was hired here for having something new and exciting. Sadly, not many people wear them, but maybe someday that will change!" Bridget explained. Hadrian was fascinated with the new knowledge. He was pretty sure he wouldn't want to apprentice as a jewellery maker, but it was still cool to hear.

"That's fascinating. I definitely want to see these clips and chains!" Bridget smiled before getting up and walking over to the catalogues. When she got there, she used her wand to summon the catalogues she wanted and then started walking back to Hadrian.

"Before we begin, would you like to set up a registry? Did you with Bellamy?" Bridget asked.

"Yes I did and I would also like to set up one here too. There are so many options I could never keep track of them all. I have a question though... were did the idea for these registry's come from? The are very... muggle in thinking" Hadrian asked, hoping he didn't offend anyone. Bridget smiled, an soft encouraging smile.

"Yes, it's based on muggle accounts. A muggleborn invented the system using a rune schematic she invented herself. It's ingenious really, sadly only a few of the shops use the system... a lot of purebloods think it below them, too strange" Bridget explained as she set up the scanner.

"Here we go, fill out these forms and then we can start" Bridget says as she passes a quill and ink well, along with the forms to fill out. While Hadrian is filling out forms, Bridget is going through a catalogue. When he's finished he adds a bit of his magic to to catalogue and watched as it glows, bonded to him.

"Right! Now that, that is done, on to the fun part!" Bridget states as she shows Hadrian a selection of collar clips and chains.

"This is a vintage triangle collar clip its made with enchanted silver, although it comes in different material, and complements just about any outfit!" Bridget explains as she shows the clips to Hadrian. They were beautiful, lovely swirls and triangles.

Hadrian added them to the scanner and Bridget and him stated going through the rest of the catalogue. By time they were done, Hadrian had all different kinds of clips and chains. With all different patterns.

His favourite were collar clips that had an ivy pattern made of enchanted silver. It was beautiful and Hadrian loved them, he got five pairs each in silver, gold and bronze, all enchanted.

Once they were done with collar clips and chains, they moved on to watches. Hadrian was surprised by how many options there were. He fell in love with an interchangeable watch. It was silver and bold. The watch had an analogue face that told time, date and moon faces. It had a built-in enchantment that acted like a lumos, along with other enchantments like anti-break, waterproof, anti-theft, anti-summon, and lots of other little enchantments such as anti-scratch.

The watch could also change colour and you could buy different straps for it. Hadrian spent quite a bit of time getting every strap he wanted.

When that was done, they moved on to pocket watches. Hadrian didn't plan to use them often, but apparently, they were part of a suit when going to big events or meetings.

Bridget also showed Hadrian hair beads that were made of enchanted bronze. They were clear but runes could be added to them. Harry loved them. He also got some dragonhide beads a similar colour as his hair. He would have to get them enchanted and runed somewhere else but he added them to the scanner happily.

They also added a multitude of cufflinks in different colours and designs. His favourite being a pair of golden snitches that when you take off the actually act like a snitch. Either catching them or opening the box they come in.

When they were done, Bridget led him to the cash register after turning down jewellery and cosmetics.

"That will be eight thousand, eight hundred and twenty-seven Galleons, five sickles and thirteen knuts" Hadrian, after shopping at Twilfitt and Tattings, knew the price would be steep but wasn't expecting it to be nearly half as much as his wardrobe. Smiling, he hands his golden back card over. Bridget's eyes widened much more than Bellamy's did.

"That will be all Mr. Potter! They will be ready by tomorrow at 5pm! Have a lovely day!" Bridget whispered after tapping the card and giving it back. Hadrian blushed when he realized he never told her his name. With a wave goodbye Hadrian left the store.

He hesitated when he thought about were to go, should he return to the Leaky or Gringotts? Clan Gringotts was his family now but he didn't know if they would let him stay over for the night, plus the Leaky was already paid for... doubt that someone actually wanted him, Hadrian walked back to the Leaky, better safe then sorry.

When he got to his room he remembered he got sick and left it. Hadrian blushed hard when he noticed it gone. Merlin, it felt like weeks had passed not hours since he went to Gringotts. Yawning he was exhausted.

Hadrian barely had time to undress before he fell into bed, within seconds, he was sound asleep.
