Black Abyss
"Do you think Severus was a good addition to our little ... group?" Tom asked softly, his icy blue hawklike eyes never leaving Harry.
Harry and Severus were sat a few tables down from the rest of their group, Harry talking animatedly whilst Severus pretended to ignore him.
From the perspective of an onlooker, Rodolphus knew that people would assume Severus was annoyed and exasperated by Harry's constant chatter but Rodolphus knew different.
Severus's usual stiff and alert posture was relaxed, he was comfortable. Whilst his face appeared blank, Rodolphus noticed the slight quirk of his lips and the way he was leaning slightly forward.
He was engaged and interested in the conversation.
Rodolphus wanted to eat him.
For the most part of their schooling, Rodolphus had ignored Severus. He knew he was always having issues with Sirius and his Gryffindors and that he was good at Potions with a sharp tongue but that was about it.
Rodolphus preferred to spend his time tormenting mudbloods and practicing dark arts.
He had no interest or care in Severus and he was sure they had never even interacted before (not counting the times Rodolphus had rudely barged past him in hallways or sneered at him the very few times their eyes would meet).
Until this summer.
Tom had finally invited Severus into their group, under the guise of his talent for potions and spell making but it was obvious that it was just another way for him to keep an eye on Harry. Severus was Harry's best friend, aside from Tom, and having Severus in his pocket would be very handy for Tom if he wished to keep a tight reign on his unruly friend.
Severus was the first halfblood (excluding Tom but nobody would dare to bring that up) in their group and Rodolphus suspected Severus would be in for two weeks of hell at the Malfoy mansion.
Lucius would be too polite to be out right hostile towards Severus as apparently 'Malfoys do not bicker in public'. But his arrogance would make his stance on Severus's blood very clear. However, Bellatrix was a Black which meant she felt invincible and wouldn't be able to hold her tongue if someone paid her.
Rodolphus had smirked thinking about all the ways Bellatrix would torment the boy and of course, he had planned to join in too. Rabastan would no doubt have a few comments to make as his distain for anything that wasn't pure was obvious and he made no effort to hide it.
He thought mudbloods and halfbloods were a stain on the Wizarding community.
Dogs.
Unworthy to be in their company.
Rodolphus didn't really give a shit about all of that.
He just liked being nasty to people.
So when Severus had turned up, his face determined and hard, Rodolphus had been surprised. He was even more surprised when Avery had made a scathing comment towards Severus which ended up in a duel that left Severus bloody and battered (but victorious).
Rodolphus had been ensnared by the way Severus duelled.
It was beautiful.
He danced between the curses thrown at him, his body twisting and turning as if part of a performance. His eyes were blown wide, his brows furrowed and he waved his wand quickly but gently, his long fingers grasping onto the tool firmly.
That's where he showed off the new curse he had invented; Sectumsempra.
Once Avery was on the floor, wailing and squealing in agony, Severus had walked over to him and jabbed his wand harshly in the side of Averys head before saying "Next time you make a comment on my blood status, I will do much much worse to you."
He had looked up then, his eyes meeting everyone else, his warning clear and once Rodolphus met the Black abyss of Severus's eyes, he knew he was his.
He had to have him.
Rodolphus has been uncomfortably hard as he watched Severus's bloody face sneer at Avery before he healed himself and Rodolphus had to fight the urge to lick the blood off Severus's face.
He wondered how his blood would taste.
He wondered how Severus would taste.
He wondered how Severus would react to being pinned down and devoured by him.
He wondered what Severus sounded like in the thaws of passion.
Would he scream as Rodolphus fucked into him, brutally pinning his arms back and making him tell him who he belonged too?
Had he ever been with anyone else?
The thought made Rodolphus clench his fists and he decided he would kill anyone who had touched Severus.
He belonged to Rodolphus now and Rodolphus didn't share.
"He's handy to have around with an excellent mind for potions. I'm sure he will be very useful for our cause" Lucius said smoothly, ever the diplomat.
Rabastans lip curled in disgust as he said "He's rude and abrasive. Unlikable"
"Some would find you rude and abrasive. You're not exactly known for your friendliness" Tom replied, his tone almost playful.
"Touchè" Rabastan grinned "But still. He annoys me, he walks around like he is superior. Not to mention how in love he was with that know it all mudblood."
"He was not in love with her" Rodolphus snarled out before he could stop himself.
The thought of Lily Evans made his blood boil.
He wanted to gauge out her green eyes and rip out her fiery red hair before tearing her apart limb by limb. He had no idea what Severus had saw in her.
No matter, if she even thought of trying to weasel her way back into his life , Rodolphus would kill her. He had killed his father, a grown wizard, how hard could it be to kill a mudblood and make it look like an accident?
She wouldn't be missed and Rodolphus hoped she rested in piss once she was dead.
Rabastan gave him an odd look before going back to his food, in no mood to deal with his brothers erratic mood swings.
"Are you blind? Of course he was in love with the mudblood, he trailed after her like a pathetic puppy for years. Not to mention when he had camped outside Gryffindor tower to apologise to her. He's an embarrassment" Avery hissed sourly, his distain for Severus obvious.
Rodolphus blinked, taking in Averys words.
Slowly, Rodolphus picked up his large knife before he viciously stabbed it in Averys arm that lay on top of the table.
Avery let out a strangled howl, pain evident in his tone as the entire hall went silent to look what was going on. Blood poured out of his arm and the teachers rushed towards the table, shouting and the younger students began screaming.
As chaos began to travel around the hall, Rodolphus's eyes found Severus's who was looking at him wide eyed and unblinkingly as his face crumpled in confusion.
"Mr Lestrange, come with me! This behaviour will not be tolerated!" Yelled Professor Dumbledore, yanking Rodolphus off the bench harshly as Avery continued to wail in agony.
Severus's eyes flickered to Avery and a small smile graced his lips before he looked back at Rodolphus who was staring back with a blinding smile of his own.
As he was hauled off to the headmasters office, Rodolphus wondered if Severus would be open to dating him if he damaged Avery permanently. He would do it, it could be like a courting gift of sorts.
If not, Rodolphus supposed he could ask Harry what he liked, maybe there was something Severus wanted more than the pain of his enemies. Although, judging by his smile, maybe not.
Rodolphus wondered how much brownie points it would win him if he stabbed James instead.
