Glamour your way
PROMPT: After the war, Draco became a therapist, he disguised himself as muggle and his patient is Harry Potter. Harry could see that Draco is using glamour but not sure who it is. That's fine though, he thinks, because at least he won't hide he is also a wizard. Draco is disturbed by Harry giving info to him.
Draco Malfoy, the once proud Slytherin, had embarked on an unexpected career path after the war. He had become a therapist, using his knowledge of the human mind to help others navigate the complexities of life. To make things more interesting, he decided to disguise himself as a muggle therapist, donning a glamour.
Little did Draco know that his very first patient would be none other than Harry Potter himself. Harry, still adjusting to life after the war, sought therapy to work through his lingering traumas and anxieties. Oblivious to Draco's true identity, Harry walked into the therapy office with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
As the therapy sessions began, Draco attempted to maintain a professional demeanour, concealing his amusement at the irony of the situation. But Harry, with his keen observation skills, couldn't help but notice that there was something off about his therapist. The overly perfect hair and the suspiciously pristine white teeth were a dead giveaway.
However, Harry decided to play along, secretly delighted that Draco hadn't bothered to hide his own magical identity. He figured it would be his little secret, a lighthearted twist in the midst of their serious conversations. After all, therapy could use a touch of magic, right?
Throughout the sessions, Harry shared his deepest thoughts and fears with Draco, unknowingly providing him with valuable information. Draco, on the other hand, found himself increasingly unsettled by Harry's ability to see through his glamour. He wondered if Harry suspected his true identity, or if it was just his overactive imagination playing tricks on him.
As the sessions continued, the comedic tension between the two grew. Draco, attempting to maintain his professional facade, found it increasingly difficult to focus on Harry's problems without getting distracted by his own insecurities. Meanwhile, Harry couldn't help but drop subtle hints about the wizarding world, causing Draco to squirm uncomfortably in his chair.
One day, unable to contain himself any longer, Draco blurted out, "Potter, how do you know I'm not just a muggle therapist? Are you onto me?"
Harry, unable to suppress his laughter, revealed that he had known all along. He confessed to recognizing Draco's glamour and had been amusing himself by dropping hints about the wizarding world, testing Draco's composure.
Draco, relieved yet exasperated, removed his glamour, revealing his true self. "You know, Potter, therapy is supposed to be a serious matter. But leave it to us to turn it into a comedy show," he grumbled, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
From that day forward, Harry and Draco shared a unique bond, blending therapy sessions with banter and lightheartedness. Draco abandoned his muggle disguise, realising that his own eccentricities were what made him an effective therapist in the first place.
Together, they navigated the complexities of life, one therapy session at a time, sprinkling their conversations with magical references and comedic moments. And while Draco may have been disturbed by the unexpected twists and turns of Harry's revelations, he couldn't deny the joy and laughter that emerged from their unlikely therapeutic relationship.
In the end, they both learned that healing could be found in the most unexpected places, even in the midst of disguise and absurdity. And through their comedic therapy sessions, they discovered that laughter truly was the best medicine.
