Draco and Dracos

PROMPT: Draco has multiple personalities, and his snarky prat personality is always the one protecting him. The main personality is buried deep especially when Voldemort stayed on Malfoy manor (the main hasn't been on the surface for a long long time..). Now they're in their 8th year, Harry Potter helps Draco and his other personalities like maybe unpack or merge them as one.

Draco Malfoy had always been known for his sharp tongue and snarky remarks. It was his armour, his defence mechanism to keep the world at bay. But deep within him lay a hidden secret—a fractured soul divided into multiple personalities, each serving a different purpose.

As Draco entered his 8th year at Hogwarts, carrying the weight of his fragmented self, he couldn't help but feel exhausted. The walls he had built around his emotions were starting to crumble, and he yearned for healing, for a sense of wholeness that seemed so elusive.

Meanwhile, Harry Potter, now older and wiser, had come to recognize the pain hidden behind Draco's defensive facade. He had witnessed the torment Draco had endured during their previous encounters, and he couldn't bear to see him suffer any longer.

One day, Harry approached Draco with a gentle determination. "Draco, I want to help you," he said earnestly. "I want to understand your different personalities and find a way to merge them, to bring you the peace you deserve."

Draco looked at Harry sceptically, his snarky persona momentarily faltering. "Why would you want to help me? I've been nothing but awful to you," he replied, his voice tinged with vulnerability.

Harry smiled softly. "Because I believe in second chances, Draco. I believe that beneath all the layers, there's a person worth knowing and saving."

With cautious acceptance, Draco agreed to embark on this journey of healing. Together, he and Harry delved into the depths of Draco's psyche, exploring each personality with compassion and understanding.

They discovered that the snarky prat, the one who had always been at the forefront, was a protector—a shield against the pain and vulnerability that resided within Draco's core. Harry recognized the need for this persona and reassured Draco that it was okay to let go, to allow his true self to emerge.

Through patient conversations and introspection, Harry encouraged Draco to confront his buried main personality—the one that had been long suppressed and kept hidden away. It was a daunting task, as layers of defences and painful memories had to be unravelled.

As the healing process unfolded, Draco experienced moments of resistance and fear. The pain he had long avoided began to resurface, threatening to overwhelm him. But Harry stood by his side, offering unwavering support and reminding him of his strength.

Slowly but surely, Draco's main personality started to emerge, tentatively stepping into the light. With Harry's guidance, he began to merge and integrate with the other facets of Draco's fragmented self, finding harmony and balance.

The journey was not without setbacks and challenges. There were moments when Draco felt overwhelmed, when his past threatened to consume him. But Harry's unwavering belief in his potential, combined with his own newfound self-acceptance, allowed Draco to push through the darkest moments.

As Draco embraced his healed and unified self, he discovered a newfound sense of peace and self-compassion. The burden of carrying multiple personas lifted, replaced by a sense of authenticity and wholeness. He realised that his snarky prat persona, though still present, no longer needed to shield him from the world—it could exist as a part of him without dominating his entire being.

Harry and Draco emerged from their journey of healing with a profound bond. They had witnessed each other's vulnerabilities and supported one another through the darkest of times. Their connection went beyond friendship—it was a testament to the power of compassion, understanding, and the possibility of personal growth.

And as Draco stepped into a brighter future, no longer burdened by his fragmented selves, he found solace in knowing that he was not alone. He had Harry Potter by his side, a beacon of light and acceptance, reminding him that true healing comes from within and is strengthened by the support of those who genuinely care.
