Plans Resettling

Albus frowned deeply as he took in the state of the Longbottom couple. He had been one of the first to arrive at St. Mungos after Augusta had contacted him asking him to come there. She was currently pleading at him to fix her son and his wife.

“Augusta, you must know that I could not fix someone who had been put under the Cruciatus Curse for so long.” Albus told her with sorrow filling his voice

Augusta stared at her two children lying in bed, unresponsive to the world. If only she had forced them to move into the Longbottom Manor, they’d have been behind safe wards and not trapped as easily as they were. But they didn’t and now here they sat, with only Neville remaining of their legacy.

Augusta took a glance at Neville before she looked away, she could not bear to look at the young boy who looked so much like Frank. How would she raise the boy when it hurt her very being to even look at him? She did not know but she would make sure he was raised exactly like Frank, and he would become a confident young man.

“Primordials Above!” Hecate exclaimed in irritation as she felt another main line close to dying off, once again in the English enclaves.

She didn’t have time to investigate at the moment. She needed utter concentration if she were to mess with Perseus’s bloodline without drawing attention from Poseidon. She had already left a note for them to find so that they could attend Gringotts.

Harry giggled as he waddled from Sirius who was playfully chasing him. Perseus was watching from the edge of the couch, only to be put back on the floor by Remus. Perseus had taken to climbing everything in his sight, now that he was truly comfortable. Remus had taken to putting the child back on the floor that it was purely instinct.

Remus was currently reading a note he had found in the house from Hecate.

“It seems that we need to go to Gringotts soon.” Remus called out grabbing the attention of Sally

She had been making her way out of the kitchen after making lunch for the kids.

          “What’s Gringotts?” Sally asked

“A wizarding bank run by goblins.” Sirius replied, he had caught Harry and was now dangling the screeching child upside down

          “Ah.”

“We should probably get the boys ready. Hecate wrote that this paper was a portkey. Siri we also need to keep Harry’s scar hidden, Albus still thinks he’s with Petunia, we can’t risk him being spotted at the worst time.”

Sirius nodded before he flipped Harry upright and going to the room to put him in comfortable clothing. Remus handed Perseus to Sally and then moved to his room to get dressed.

45 minutes later and everyone was ready. Perseus seemed irritated and had refused to comply to get dressed.

“Alright is everyone ready?” Remus asked as he handed a squirming Perseus to Sally

Sirius nodded while carrying Harry and the group set off to Gringotts with the portkey from Hecate. The arrived quickly and set about meeting with a goblin, careful not to attract attention to themselves.

It seemed that Hecate had set things up for them as they soon found themselves talking with two goblins. Zect Bloodthorn would be overseeing the Potter Accounts and anything else that Harry would inherit. Sally and Perseus were given a quick blood test and Remus was shocked to find that she was an heir believed to have died out due to the women taking their husband’s last name.

“That is quite surprising. Ms. Jackson would you like to take up the mantle of Lady Ravenclaw?” the other goblin, Brink Whetstone asked her

Sally blinked in surprise before she nodded. Whetstone grabbed the box that held the heiress and Lady ring before, opening it and setting down in front of her.

Sally hesitantly reached for the ring which she assumed was the Ladyship ring before putting it on. She winced at the slight prick in her right ring finger. Her look of pain turned to astonishment as the ring resized itself to fit her finger.

“Congratulations Lady Ravenclaw, you now have access to all of the Ravenclaw vaults and properties. I will be sending you the receipts of what has been happening with all of your assets.” Whetstone told her before turning the floor back to Bloodthorn. Bloodthorn nodded to the other goblin before bringing out two milky white orbs. Sirius and Remus both took sharp breaths as they realized that they were Lily and James’s wills.

“Would you like me to step out with the boys?” Sally suggested realizing that this was a deeply personal moment

The two both nodded and Sirius handed Harry to Sally. Sally nodded to him and took the two boys out into the hall. Sally then found herself approached by Hecate who looked grimmer than she had ever seen her.

          “Lady Hecate?” Sally called softly

“This magical enclave needs a complete overhaul of everything. I just assumed it was just their stagnation but no. They’re corrupted, almost every last one of them. The ones that aren’t are simply being led like sheep. Only a small percentage actually even think for themselves. I have to take even more drastic measures. Especially with Apollo approaching me.” Hecate explained to Sally while plucking Harry from her arms

She needed the comfort right now and Harry was happy to give it, babbling up at her. Hecate sent the child a small smile before she turned to Sally. Apollo’s interference with her magical enclave would eventually bring all of the Olympians down on her head if she wasn’t careful.

          ~Flashback~

“Hey hey hey, Hecate!” an obnoxiously loud voice rang through her temple and Hecate resisted the urge to groan

Why Apollo had shown up was confusing and she didn’t need that right now.

          “What do you want Apollo?”

But Apollo didn’t answer, he simply shot her a grin and walked around her room.

“So, I was driving the sun, like I always do, when I got hit with the strangest feeling. Something was pulling me towards England and I remembered, ‘Hey Hec’s got a pet project down here maybe I should check it out.’ But I had to finish raising the sun or dad would have a fit like he always does. So, I finish raising the sun and make my way towards England. The pull’s gotten stronger now and I find myself in a hospital.” Here Apollo stopped to send her a blinding smile

Oh god, if Apollo was implying what she thought. Hecate found the blood rushing away from her face.

“I found myself in such a spacious and open room, by hospital standards of course and found myself standing behind this old man who was looking over at a family of four. There was an old lady, a husband and wife, and a kid. The pull was coming from the kid and let me tell you I got even more intrigued. Just before I could take a step closer, I got hit with a strange vision.” Apollo stopped once again and looked towards her, his eyes hollow and his smile plastered on his face.

Sometimes, Hecate wondered how heavy a burden it was to know everything that happened under the sun and experience visions of the future. This god wore a mask that barely anyone could see through it. Hell, she forced herself to not realize it many times. And yet here he was ripping her forced obliviousness off of her.

“You wanna know what I saw Hecate. I saw my son turned into a weapon. Raised like a pig for slaughter. Augusta gave him away with no backwards glance. ‘He’ll be just like Frank’ she thinks ‘A strong young man’. Apollo rages, his form flickering and Hecate was facing Frank Longbottom and the pit in her stomach drops further.

Apollo’s eyes locked her in her place freezing her where he stood as he seemed to be looking into her very core.

“So, Hecate what are you going to do to save my son?” Apollo loomed over her, imposing even in the form of one of his mortal shells

Hecate took a deep breath before looking to her right. Her scrying bowl lay in wait.

“Give me the visions and I’ll do what I need to do.” Hecate assured the god and she watched in morbid fascination as Apollo turned back into his usual form with a lazy grin.

“Of course! Just let me know what else you need me to do.”

“Go grab Hestia, I think we’ll need her as well.”

<>

“You will be getting another child soon. Circumstances have changed and I need to put the child in a place where he will be safe.” Hecate informed Sally

Sally nodded; she didn’t mind anyway. She loved children very much and another was not a problem now that her circumstances had changed. Hecate gave a small smile at Sally’s acceptance; it had been wise of her to include the woman in her plans after all. Now she needed to address the other situation.

Apollo cradled his son in his arms and rocked him back and forth. He was currently in the form of Frank and Neville seemed to enjoy that very much.

“You should be happy Nev. You’re the first child I’ve spent so much time with and not severely punished for it. The Ancient Laws prevent me from seeing my children and I can only helplessly watch as they’re broken in the mortal realm. But due to Hecate’s little pet project, you’re my little loophole.” Apollo told his son lovingly

“Is this what this is about, Hecate’s magical enclaves?” came a warm voice

Apollo turned his neck to the right to see Hestia tending to the fire in Hecate’s temple. He chuckled nervously before going to sit next to his aunt. Careful not to move too fast with Neville in his arms.

“She told me about a proposition. She plans on fixing up the English enclaves since they’re doing far worse than any of her other enclaves.” Apollo told Hestia

“I see and what does this have to do with me?”

“I want you to blood adopt Neville.” came Hecate’s voice

Hestia raised an eyebrow at that statement.

          “And why is that?”

“I’ve already done too much to Perseus’s bloodline to mess with it anymore. Harry is the legacy of so many of the gods and one of his parents is a Titan if I looked correctly. Neville is the only one who needs the blood of one of the original Olympians for him to be able to withstand the power surges that will run through the other two. Especially considering that they are Prophecy bound. I would like to protect Neville and I don’t feel comfortable sending one of my magicals out of their own enclave or into the world of the demigods.” Hecate listed while looking intently at Hestia

Hestia pondered her choice. She had very much wanted a child but Zeus had forbidden it forcing her to remain a virgin goddess forever. She always longed for a child to care for and dote on. This was an opportunity that she could not pass up.

“I’ll do it, as long as I can visit him.”

“Of course, Zeus has no jurisdiction over my domain. Though you will need to be subtle.”

And with that the three gods went to work. The process was quick and painless. Apollo pressed a kiss to his son’s forehead and Hestia caressed his cheek lovingly. And soon Neville Longbottom, son of Apollo and Hestia was sent to live with the Champions.

Elsewhere the Moirai stood together peering into nothing. Everything was falling into place. The two champions would not suffer alone anymore and they would now be able to live a happy life, not wrought with as much grief as before.

“A Titaness, Clotho really?” came the question from Atropos

Clotho cackled. “Would you rather I made him the son of-”

“Stop right there! You already know my answer.”
