Another admirer
Harry yawned, snuggling closer into his pillow. He burrowed his head and stretched slightly, his back clicking as it arched off the bed. Moaning quietly, he clutched tighter onto his pillow. Until he heard a deep chuckle. Chuckle? Harry raised his head quickly, groaning as it came into contact with Tom’s chin.
“Ouch!” Harry muttered, rubbing his hand over his head. Tom scoffed at him before raising an eyebrow.
“What?” Harry snapped before looking down. Harry froze. He had been cuddling with Tom. Great. He could never live this down now. Rolling an inch back to give Tom more room, Harry yelped as he fell off the bed. Tom’s face, red with laughter appeared, looking down at his from the edge.
“Harry? Are you alright?” Tom asked quickly, his eyes fixated on Harry. Hadrian hummed slightly, indicating he is fine as Tom howled in laughter. Tom rose gracefully from the bed and chucked a set of robes at Harry.
“This is a set of old robes that you can wear, I have already transfigured the tie into a Hufflepuff one,” Tom said as Harry tried to stare as he pulled his shirt off.
Harry changed quickly while Tom pulled his books out.
“Ready?” Toma asked without looking up at Harry. Hadrian was about to answer when Tom grabbed something off the table.
“This is your wand correct?” Tom mumbled, running his hands down the holly wood.
“Yep! Did you know we actually have brother wands? Crazy cool right?” Harry said unconcernedly as Tom’s eyes widened. Brother wands? That had to be rare. He would look into it in the library later. Filing that knowledge away, Tom opened the door and led Harry into the great hall for breakfast.
Tom practically dragged Harry to the Slytherin table. Taking a seat in the middle, he indicated to Harry to join him. As Hadrian sat down, a blonde boy glared.
“Who are you? You do realize the Hufflepuff table is over there?” The blonde prat said, sneering at Hadrian. Tom scowled.
“Abraxas, this is Hadrain Gaunt, you will treat him with the same respect you treat me,” Tom viciously muttered, clutching his hand tightly around his goblet of orange juice. Malfoy gaped. Gaunt? As in THE Gaunts? You know, the HEIR to SLYTHERIN. Malfoy quickly muttered an apology as all of the surrounding Slytherin students stared. Tom smiled thinly, a threat on his lips before a hand patted his shoulder. Turning to glare at the person, Tom stopped short as he saw Harry. Raising his eyebrows, Harry shrugged and curled deep into his side. Tom’s eyes flickered to Abraxas whose mouth was hanging open as he saw, Tom Riddle, THE Tom Riddle let another student cuddle him. Who happens to be the heir of Slytherin.
Malfoy pondered deeply. Riddle had to be using the kid somehow. He was a Gaunt after all, and Riddle is a mud blood. Maybe he wants the money. Power. Not that the Gaunts are that respectable. They had lost their political seats from all the inbreeding. But Hadrian seems fine. Very fine. Because Abraxas was a Malfoy, and well, he had standards, he was on the lookout for a partner, for he did not want to be married to his betrothal, Lysistrata Yaxley. Hadrian Gaunt comes with the Slytherin title. What he wouldn’t give to be Lord Slytherin. Abraxas Slytherin. It has a ring. And well, Hadrian is good-looking. Short, most definitely, and looks like he would floor any instruction. And to top it off, being a Hufflepuff, well no wonder Riddle is after, he looks very easy to manipulate. Maybe after what ever Tom needs from the boy, and discards him, Abraxas will come along and pick up the pieces, he would make a cute housewife, Abraxas thought, picturing Hadrian clinging to his arm. Malfoys train of thought stopped when he heard the kid speak.
“What's your name?” Hadrian asked Malfoy quietly. Abraxas felt his insides melt. Well, if that wasn’t the cutest voice ever. With a slight lisp and as quiet as a mouse, Hadrian would really make a good improvement to the Malfoy household.
“Malfoy, Abraxas Malfoy, but please, call me ‘Brax,” Malfoy murmured into Harry’s ear. Abraxas smiled as he watched the boy turn pink. Opening his mouth to speak once more, Malfoy was cut off by Riddle.
“Malfoy. You will not speak to Hadrian again. You do not want me to catch you disobeying my orders,” Tom snapped sharply, scowling as Abraxas sneered.
Hadrian looked between the two in worry.
“Is this my fault? I am sorry, I can go sit at the Hufflepuff table,” He said, standing up. Tom’s arm snaked around his shoulders holding him back down.
“No, stay. I was just dismissing Malfoy before I introduced you to a Hufflepuff I know who will look after you,” Tom said, staring at Abraxas as he stood and left the table.
Tom beckoned another boy over. He looked only slightly older than Harry, but not that much taller. Tom indicated for the new boy to introduce himself.
“Hi! I am Elderich Diggory! I heard we had a new Hufflepuff! Are you A mister Hadrian Gaunt by any chance?” Diggory asked jokingly at Harry. Tom observed as Diggory and Harry started talking. Deeming them ok, he walked out. Now, time to sort out Abraxas, he thought, cracking his knuckles.
