Chapter 4
"Pete hurry! The train is coming in 20 Minutes!" Remus chuckled at the annoyed groan his friend let out as he walked out of the bathroom.
"I'm coming, okay? Sirius and James wont die if we aren't there" No but I will. Remus thought but quickly followed Peter who started walking.
Remus was wearing a plain white shirt with Jeans. Something he did find boring but It was a sae option. It's nothing that could look bad. Basic but safe,
They arrived 5 minutes early than Remus had planned "See? We didn't need to hurry." Peter rolled his eyes "Better early than late" Remus muttered, looking down the station to see if the train was coming.
After 2 more minutes of an annoyed Peter and a fidgeting Remus, the train rolled in. Peter was silently laughing at the way got more nervous every passing moment.
The train stops and the doors flew open, with people flooding out.
Remus was desperatly looking for his two friends. One more desired than the other but that didn't matter. He'd probably die for all of his friends if he needed to.
He finally spotted James, who spotted him and waved. Remus waved back. James turned to say something to the person behind him. Sirius stepped out and their eyes met. Sirius smiled. No, he got that stupid grin. The one that made Remus melt and explode with butterflies.
Sirius wasn't feeling any better. How can someone look so good? Was it the hair? The clothes?
Sirius didn't know, and he honestly didn't care one bit. He was just happy to be back.
Sirius and James walked towards the other two. James went forward and hugged Peter. Sirius stood akwardly in front of Remus, who thankfully opened his arms.
Sirius fell into them. Yeah, he was back home now.
"I'm sorry about what happened" Remus mumbled " Let's not talk about them."
While Remus and Sirius were having one of their obiously-in-love moments again, James turned around to look into the crowds of Students. His eyes searching for a certain-
"Prongs? You coming?" Sirius had pulled away from Remus and was now standing between Peter and Remus. James nodded "Let's go. I'm starving"
The dinner was quite peaceful. Everyone had a momen of peace to think about anything they'd like. While Sirius and Remus were both wondering if the other liked them more than a friend, Peter was wondering what book he should read next, while James was starring at someone else.
"James?" James turned to Peter "Yeah?"
"Whatcha looking at?"Peter took a sip of his juice "Nothing. Just thinking. I zoned out i guess" Peter nodded. You keep telling yourself that. Peter smiled at his thoughts and turned his attention to Marlene, who was complaining about how long she hadn't seen dorcas.
Marlene and Dorcas had been seeing each other for few weeks now. Sirius wished he was as brave as her. He wished he could tell everyone that he was into boys. Not just boys but also boys.
Whenever someone would say anything homophobic, marlene either flipped them off or just pulled Dorcas in for a kiss. Mostly she did both. As if it didn't matter to her.
God did he want to love Remus for everyone. In front of everyone.
He wanted to be an example for his brother. Not many people know about his transition so he's always afraid someone who shouldn't know, figures it out.
Walburga and Orion only agreed when Narcissa said, that they needed a back up heir just in case. She later on apologised to Sirius, which he laughed at. He wanted his brother happy. No matter the cost. Even if Regulus would never know, his older brouther would walk through everything for him.
Lily had just joined their conversation and Sirius thoughts went back to Remus. His perfect face, with all the perfect scars.
He'd kiss every single one if he could. Or that damn perfecr hair.
Or those damn brown eyes. The ones he loves to get lost in. The ones that roll into the back of his head when Sirius got another detention.
Remus was always mad at James and Sirius when they landed in detention. Not that he didn't think the pranks were funny.No, but it annoyed him, that he had to wait for them.
Sirius glanced at Remus. He looked over at Sirius and smiled, sirius almost exploded with butterflies but just smiled back. How can one person make you feel this foolish?
God he's absolutley lost and smitten for Remus. Remus is the first thing he thinks about in the morning, and the last in the night. Even in his dreams, Remus visits him. They live in a little house, decorated by Lily, Remus is a professor and Sirius a part of the order, like James.
Sirius always had these silly little dreams of them. But he knew that Remus could never love him back. He's unlovable. A complete failure,just worthless,
A hand on his shoulder made him look up "You good there pads?" Remus eyes were filled with worry "Yeah.Just thinking" Remus nodded "You're safe now, remember?"
The words hit him like a truck. For the past few days, he went numb. The events at home completely shattered him. Sirius nodded "I know. Still doesn't mean I'm over it" Remus sighed "We're all finished. We should go to bed. Come on" Remus tugged at his arm.
Sirius let Remus lead him towards the common room and dorms, while James and Peter share a knowing look. It was obvious to everyone but them.Typical.
James and Peter had went to bed quite early. Remus had been tossing and turning for the past 20 minutes. Sirius rolled his eyes as Remus kept shuffling around. After a few moments it was quiet. Sirius hoped that Remus finally went to sleep.
Suddenly the curtains of his bed opened and he could make out Remus face in the moonlight.
"Sirius?"
"Moony?"
Remus looked exhausted "i..Can you hold me?" It was barley a whisper "I understand if you dont-"
"Get in here, merlins sake"He pulled up his covers to invite Remus. Remus didn't hesitate and made himself comfortable next to the raven haired boy.
"I'm scared"
"Of what?" Sirius looked at his face. God, everything about that boy was perfect.
"The full moon. It feels like its gonna be a bad one" Sirius frowned "We'll be there. I'll be there, moony. " Remus nodded "I hate it."
Sirius nodded "I know you do. But maybe one day we'll find a solution" Remus closed his eyes.
"I cant sleep, I cant eat. Im so tired. I dont wanna do this anymore Pads" Remus voice break.
"Hey."Remus opened his eyes again "You'll be okay. I promise"
Remus nodded "Now come here and let me hold you before youre gonna die"
Remus scoffed "No-I meant-"Remus placed his hand on Sirius mouth "I know how you meant it"
Sirius pulled Remus onto his Chest. Both of them wondering if this is just platonic or if there was actually something forming.
It wasn't the first time Sirius held Remus.He'd done it a million times before.
That's how James and Peter found them in the morning. James was smiling like an idiot and Peter knew it already. He had suspected it when he went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, and Remus bed was empty.
Peter looked at James "Do it like Remus" James raised an eyebrow "Do what?" Peter chuckled "Be a little more brave towards-" Sirius groaning interrupted Peter "Morning Pads" James grinned.
Sirius peaked his head at James "Huh?" Remus shifted behind him but kept Sirius close to his body "Slept well?" Sirius rolled his eyes "Fuck off" He threw a pillow at James, who shrieked at the sudden object flying towards him.
Remus opened one eye at the sound. His arm losened around Sirius, which made his heart crack a little.
Peter sighed at the szenario in front of him and walked towards the door "I'll go join Marlene and the other girls before I starve."
Poor Pete had been woken up by James who couldnt contain himself. He was just to excited about what he was seeing in Sirius bed. Peter was annoyed, obviously. But who could be mad at the sight of Sirius and Remus cuddling? Right, no one.
Especially after they've been in love forever but they're to busy wondering if the other one likes them, that they dont notice that they do.
Peter went down the stairs and saw Marlene sitting on one of the couches "Marls? What are you doing here?"
She smiled "Got in a fight with my roommates. Its time that I can finally move in with Lily and Mary. I need some space from them" He nodded "It's your lucky day. I need space from the three idiots too" He held out his hand "Let's go. We can just invite your little Girlfriend" He wiggled his eyebrows "She's not my girlfriend pete!"
"You keep telling yourself that. You are head over heels for that woman and I cant blame you. She's lovely"
Marlene kept her arm interlocked with his "Maybe..I dont know okay? We havent put a label on our relationship yet"Peter raised an eyebrow "Dont let her make you a dirty little secret"
"I wont pete. I know my worth."Peter nodded satisfied and sat down at the gryffindor table, next to mary "Morning Peter. Where are your children?"She asked teasingly "One of them is annoying the other two"
Lily chuckled "Let me guess, James is annoying Siri and Remus" Peter nodded while biting a piece off his toast. The great hall doors open once again and Dorcas stepped inside with the other Slytherins.
She glanced at the Gryffindor table and turned around to Regulus. She whispered something to him, which he nodded to. She seperated herself and came towards the group of Gryfinndors.
"Hello there" Everyone smiled at her as she sat down next to Marlene "Hey Pretty Girl. You okay?" Marlene blushed and nodded "I'm allergic to Peanuts, Strawberrys and bullshit. Now tell me."Her gaze was focused on Marlene "Just my roommates. They're being Jerks agin"
Dorcas groaned "Has McGonagall still not moved you?" Marlene shook her head. Dorcas stood up and headed straight towards the Head table "Dorcas, No!" But it was to late.
The Slytherin was already talking to McGonagall, who did look a little surprised. Dorcas pointed at Marlene and McGonagall tried to speak, but was interrupted.
"So after Breakfast, You're gonna take care of it, Okay? It can't be that she has to keep fighting with those morons." The headmaster tried to hide his smile at his student. Brave girl.
"Miss Meadowes, Please-"Dorcas interrupted her again and the hall went silent "When my Girlfriend returns to her dorm later after her classes, I want you to have this done. She's to shy to talk to you like that, but I wont watch these idiots harass my girl. So please, Just settle it."
She stormed back to her previous seat next to marlene "There you got your label" Peter whispered. Marlene hushed him and looked at the incoming Dorcas "I like her but she is infuriating sometimes"
Dorcas looked around "What? Whats with all the faces?"Marlene chuckled "You called me your girlfriend" Dorcas raised an eyebrow "Is that not what you are, Darling?" Marlene shrugged " Oh baby, I'm sorry. i thought it was clear." Her arms went around Marlenes shoulder "I'm so sorry"
"It's okay"Marlene kissed her cheek "Now a real one" Dorcas pouted "Course" Marlene pressed her lips onto Dorcas "Ew. To much love in the morning, I swear to merlin" Lily said laughing "Just because you got no one? " Dorcas said teasingly.
"I heard from a little bird that you made out with a blonde rawenclaw at the last party" Dorcas aid teasingly as the group gasped "Who?!"Mary looked at Lily "I may have.." The group errupted into giggles and chatter.
"Who is the misterious guy?" Mary said, tilting her head "Or was it a girl?" Peter smirked. Lily blushed "Oh my god. Don't tell me who I think it was" Mary gasped. Lily looked up to her "Maybe"
Mary leaned back to act like she fainted. Everyone laughed and teased Lily about it.
They were so caught up in their conversation, that they didn't notice the remaining three marauders to walk into the great hall.
