Chapter 2

There he stood, with a cut on his left eyebrow and completely soaked from the rain he was walking in just a few moments ago.

Euphemia gasped at the raven haired boy "Sirius,Dear!Come inside, quick! You'll catch a cold"She ushered him inside "James!Get down here! And bring a towel!"She peeled his Jacket off him and James came running down the stairs.

Once he saw Sirius, James rushed to his side "Padfoot? What happened?Dear lord, Are you hurt?"Sirius could only sob.James face was filled with concern and he pulled his best friend in for a hug.

Sirius didn't push him away, nor did he hug James back. Euphemia brought him a tea "James, Do you mind taking the cup and give him something to change?"James nodded at his mother and went upstairs with Sirius.

Sirius sat down on the edge of James bed and waited for his best friend to pick out dry clothes for him. Flashbacks of the events from not even an hour ago flashed trough his mind.He rubbed his eyes and tried to swallow down his tears.

James sighed and handed Sirius the clothes. He only nodded and went into James bathroom that was directly connected to his room.

Sirius placed the clothes on the bathtub, took a deep breath and stared at the reflection of himself in the mirror.

"Disgusting!Just disgusting!"

"You bring shame on our family with this!"

"How did I raise you wrong?!"

"Take an example from your brother! He's gonna marry a pretty pureblood girl one day!"

Sirius looked at Regulus, who kept his head down at the floor. What a great brother, Sirius thought. Not even brave enough to stand up for himself nor me.

Sirius attempted to rush past his father, where he was met with a punch in his face.He fell to the floor, petrified of what just happened.

That's how he ended up on the potter's doorstep.

Sirius splashed cold water onto his face and turned the water off. He dried his face off and went back into James room.

"Hey Pads, You can sleep either with me in my bed or on my couch. It's up to you"

James looked worried at his best friend. He knew how hard and awful his home situation was. He just thought that Sirius would bring Regulus along. They got quite close after James talked to Regulus about their Brother-Brother Relationship.

Now that Regulus wasn't with him, James was sure that Regulus was to scared or to slow to go along with his brother . He had to figure which one so he could act out on his decisions.

Regulus was very dear to James. James knew that Sirius would feel betrayed but thought he might get over it if they had a better bond.

That was probably over now.

"I'll sleep.."Sirius hesitated "with you? If-"

"Don't say if it's okay. I suggested it. Come on. Let's go get dinner. Mum made your favourite!"

Fleamont and Euphemia were already seated at the dinnertable when the two boys came down the stairs "Hello Sirius. Come sit and eat. You'll feel better" Fleamont smiled warmly at Sirius. James placed a hand on his shoulder and guided him towards their seats.

Sirius hadn't said a word since he came down to eat. His mind was racing. There was so much on his mind that he couldn't organise. Thought after thought. His mind wasn't resting. But how can it after such a day?

After dinner was finished, Sirius was to exhaused "Can I go to bed?" His voice was weak, almost breaking. James stood up "Sure"

The night was restless. Sirius couldn't care less that he wasn't at home anymore. He only cared who still was at home.

Regulus. Him and Sirius had finally gotten along. But of course their parents had to ruin everything. They always do.

Sirius wanted to get Regulus out of there too before they succeeded in their plans. They wanted him to be a death eather.

If It's not Sirius then it needs to be Regulus. It's their only heir left. Even tho they aren't on their best terms, Regulus was still his little brother who he needed to look after.

He tossed and turned in James bed, thoughts about Regulus keeping him away from the much needed rest.

At the Black manor, Regulus wasn't feeling any better. He was sitting on his Windowframe and watched the stars. He would never admit it, but he missed his brother. He felt bad for not stepping in the way Sirius would've done for him.

The stars reminded him of better times. Not that their childhood was any better with their parents, but they would watch the stars together and name them. His eyes went out into the distance. He hoped his brother arrived at the Potter's and could finally get some sleep after all the torture.

21 Days and he would finally be back at Hogwarts. The only place that brought the brothers comfort after the holidays at their manor.

Nobel house of Black. Yeah fuck that.

Regulus would lie if he said he wasn't jealous of the way his brother could be happy with a home like that. The way he was always smiling at School, never in a bad mood. He wished he could do that. Just be happy, or at least have a reason to smile once in a while.

Of course he had his friends like Barty or Evan but there was this piece missing. A piece not even Pandora could fill. No one could. This hole was always there, empty and misterious.

Regulus had always wondered what could fill that misterious hole, that ached to be fullfilled. He probably would never figure that out, since he was now the top priority in the Black family as the next heir.

A place he didn't wanted to have. He just wanted to be with his brother. Not his parents, not Evan, not even Pandora. No, Just Sirius.

But it was just a matter of time until Walburga and Orion talked him out of it. Sirius was a traitor in their eyes. A boy with no manners and shame. A shame for the name Black, and just a dissapointment.

At the Potter residence ,things were looking quite different.

"I can't imagine what that boy has been through. They never give him a rest, and now he's here.Completely traumatised"Euphemia took a sip of her tea.

"She grew up the same and still treated them the same way!I don't understand it"

Fleamont shrugged with his shoulders "She was always an irritable woman" She sent him a glare "Careful what words you take into your mouth. She was my..my everything. She was my best friend.I helped her through her worst times and now her own son came to me for help."

Euphemia drank the last bit of her tea and turned towards the stairs "I'm going to bed.Good night, I love you"Fleamont smiled "I love you too.i'll stay a little longer"She nodded and made her way upstairs.

He understood his wife's anger, but if he's honest, he never liked walburga. Not based on her name, No.Based on her personality. She reminded him of a stone.

He never had an explaination why he saw her that way, it was just he way he saw his Wife's Ex-Best friend.

The moment Sirius stood at their doorstep, he knew that Euphemia would reach out to Walburga in the near future to give her a piece of her mind. She had no right to treat her son that way. Neither had Orion.

The Black's always had a high ranking in the Magical World. It was their power and all of the things around. Cousins, marrying cousins, so the blood remained pure. he would never understand their coldness and bitterness.Their unaccepting and unloving nature made him shiver. He was on his wifes side. How could a mother do this to her son?

Always trying to keep their dark secrets down, pleasing the dark lord with new members of his threatening cult.It was a matter of time until Sirius brother, Regulus, would be named the next heir and a death eather.

The were both still Childen.15 and 16. No age to become an heir to the nobel house of Black. In the worst case szenario, Sirius had to marry Narcissa.

Fleamont shook his head, wanting to remove that image from his mind. There was no way he would let that happen to his son's best friend. The one whos been there for James the whole time. Merlin, no.
