Chapter 8
It was the next day, it was a chilly morning in the early days of February.
It was a Saturday thank God so James could sleep in. James was just about to fall asleep when someone came and woke him up. It was Regulus...
"What? I'm trying to sleep" James whined as he tried to hide in his blankets. "Well to bad get up" Regulus said. "But it's a Saturday!"James whined again. "James." Regulus gave him a look of 'hurry your ass up or else' kinda look and honestly if he's honest, Regulus scares him a bit with his intimidation that Sirius has. "Fine!" James said as he got up from his very comfortable bed and went to the bathroom to get changed and whatever.
After James was done getting ready he put on his red converse with his over-sized sweater that was obviously Remus' because he's seen Remus wear it before.
"Ready?" Regulus asked. "Yup" James replied.
They started walking downstairs where all the others were waiting by the entrance.
"Let's go" Regulus said and they all started walking out, James and Regulus followed, James was confused about where they were going but he just followed them. Soon they arrived at the black lake and they all sat at the tree.
James and Regulus next to each other, Sirius, Moony, And Peter all next to each other and they all talked and laughed, James' laugh making everyone laugh harder, they all loved his laugh dearly.
They just wanted to hear it all the time.
After about an hour they were all Hungary so Remus grabbed a basket full of snacks and fun and they all ate and laughed and talked some more as they watched the black lake move calmly as the winds blows making the trees leaves make noise as they rustle. It was just calming all together. There were no cheating ex girlfriends or arguing, just fun.
James laid against Regulus as he talked to Remus about different chocolate flavors.
Regulus was talking to Sirius and Peter when he laid against him but he pretended not to notice him.
Soon everyone got tired and it got dark fast and it was only five o'clock but dinner started soon so they decided to go inside and it got a lot colder.
James and Regulus were walking to the dinning hall when suddenly Regulus stopped James in his tracks.
"You okay?" James asked, concerned as to why he stopped them. "Yeah, just wanted to ask you something, and it's kinda a serious question" Regulus said. "Okay, yeah what's the question?" James replied. "Do you..Do you think your deserving of love?" Regulus asked seriously. "Umm what?" James said, a little taken back by the question and he looked serious. "You heard me, do you think your deserving of the love you get" Regulus asked again. "No" James answered. "Well you are because you are the sweetest person I've ever met James, your deserving of the love you get from this family you have here at Hogwarts here, Remus loves you, Peter loves you, Sirius loves you, Your mom and dad love you, I-I love you ok? And that won't change because you are the brightest person I know and I want you to know that whatever happens,no matter it's you being hurt or wanting someone to comfort we will all be there to help you ok? I will be there if you ever need me to" Regulus ranted.
"Y-You love me..?" James asked hesitantly. "Yes I do! I've loved you for so long James, when I was first introduced to you but I knew you were with Evans so I just brushed it off so yes I do love you and I will forever love you" Regulus admitted. "I-I love you too" James muttered. "James, will you be my boyfriend? I know you just got cheated on but i can't help but want to be with you so please, will you be my boyfriend?" Regulus Asked. "Yes" James laughed, "I will be your boyfriend Reggie" James replied. "can I kiss you?" Regulus asked. "Please" James whispered.
Regulus kissed James, it was a sweet, soft kiss, like they were fit to be together. James hugged Regulus tightly and Regulus hugged him back just a tight and Regulus kissed the top of his head.
"We should get going before were late for dinner" Regulus said. "Agreed" James giggled.
A long one yay and they finally got together.
