James wanted to surprise Lily for her birthday.
The rest of the marauders have helped him prepare this gift for her.
The way James was basically bouncing off walls at the excitement of giving it to her.
They had worked so hard for this gift.
Well James and Sirius were rich but still.
It’s was 3 days till her birthday so James to wait.
James was hanging out with Remus in the library when Lily came in with Regulus.
James and regulus were close because of Sirius.duh.
Then Lily became friends with him.
“Hi Reggie, hi love” James said, happily. “Hi James” lily said. “Hi” said Regulus as he sat down. “What are you guys doing?” Remus asked. “Nothing just wanted to come say hi” Regulus mumbled as he pulled out his book. “Oh ok” Remus said as he went back to his book as well.
James was starting to get bored since all three of them were reading and basically leaving him out since he hates reading.
“I’m gonna go fine Sirius” Said James. “Oh ok bye Jamie” Remus said. “Bye” Lily and Regulus said.
James walked out of the library wondering why lily didn’t say ‘I love you’ to him. Maybe he overthinking it. He probably was.
James eventually found Sirius with Peter talking.
“Hey guys!” Said James said he sat next to the two. “Hi jamie!” Peter said back as he smiled. “Hello, bestie” Said Sirius as he hugged James. “Oh! Hi Sirius” said James, surprised Sirius hugged him.
After they talked lily, Remus, and Regulus all came to the three.
Evan and Barty were somewhere.
“REGGIE!” Sirius yelled as he jumped up and hugged his brother. “Umm hi..?” Reggie said as he smiled softly.
The six talked and talked until Lily said he had to go which was weird because she never leaves without having anything else to do.
“She’s been acting weird..” James said. “Why do you say that?” Asked Sirius. “Well every time I ask her to hang out with me she just says she’s busy which isn’t like her unless she’s studying for an exam which we don’t have” said James. “Maybe you’re just overthinking it prongs” said Sirius. “Yea.. maybe” said James.
James was still not sure Sirius was right but now he thinks he was overthinking it.
