James was walking to class with Lily, Sirius, Peter, and Remus. Regulus had a different class so he went with Dorcas.
James was smiling brightly. He was excited because it was 2 more days till he could show lily her gift!
Lily was still acting distant but when they were all together she didn’t. Maybe not to blow something she was doing.
Lily kept checking around, she looked nervous almost.
Remus noticed it too.
Eventually they got to their class and sat down.
Timeskip: after class:
James was talking with Remus when Regulus came running in.
“James!” Regulus shouted as he got to the two. “Reg? What’s wrong?” Remus asked. “Well.. Sirius may or may not be chasing Lily around hogwarts right now…” Regulus said. “WHAT?!” James yelled as he got up and started running. “You serious?” Remus asked calmly. Regulus nodded. “Ok then let’s go” Remus said as he got up.
None knew why Sirius was chasing Lily and Sirius wasn’t telling. Peter was just running, trying to get Sirius to stop chasing Lily. “Sirius why the fuck are you chasing my girlfriend!?” James said as he eventually caught up to them. “U-Uhmm no reason..?” Said Sirius as he smiled nervously. “Sirius” Remus said sternly. “Y-yes..?” Sirius said. “Why are you chasing her?” He asked.
Sirius just said that he was bored and lily was right there and they were playing tag but regulus and Peter didn’t know they were playing so they thought trouble.
Timeskip:two days later: lily’s birthday
James was jumping up and down as he held the gift in his hand. “Ok James calm down” said Remus as he giggled at how excited James was. “Regulus was there too.
Sirius had been weird the past 2 days and they had no idea why. I mean he’s been way to quiet for his own good.
James was with everyone outside so lily wouldn’t see since she was in the common room.
It was a Sunday btw so they had off.
James was ready so they went inside but when they got to the commons room…
They saw Severus and Lily shagging on the couch.
James smile faded. Tears formed in his eyes as he watched the scene in front of him happen.
He held back a sob as he turned the other way and walked out.
“WHAT THE FUCK!”
