Thoughts About the Heartbreaker

3. Thoughts About the Heartbreaker

It was quite hard now to shake the boy off after he'd found Cassiopeia . He'd been on her tail every day for her Transfiguration, and now even adding three more to her tail, one of them being the boy who had been head-over-heels for Lily, James Potter.

It wasn't the first for her to be tailed like this, but Sirius was different. Every time they'd walk past a crowd of girls, they'd giggle and greet him. At her back, she could hear him greeting back...flirting back if you will. She could even hear that smirk he has when flirting.

Charming.

Just as they continued to walk, the boys still behind her, she spotted a girl who's red head was buried in a parchment.

"Lily!" Cassiopeia shouted, running to her. She pulled her to a run as she heard the footsteps of the boys follow. But as she turned to a corner, they lost them. Cassiopeia took a peek through the corner only to see that Sirius and his friends had taken a wrong turn, gone from her vision. She sighed in relief, "Finally." She said, facing Lily again. "What was that for?" Lily asked, as she tried to look for whatever Cassiopeia was looking for. Cassiopeia smiled, "It's nice to see you, Lily. Haven't seen you for weeks." Lily too, took a heavy sigh, as she massaged her temples. "Not quite surprised about that, the upcoming OWLs had kept us busy." Cassiopeia shrugged. It was true, they had been filled with homeworks to do and lessons to learn, plus pressure of having to pass OWLs constantly reminded by the professors.

"Anyway, who's at your tail again?" Lily asked as if it wasn't really the first for her to have someone follow her. She wasn't really wrong about that. Cassiopeia clicked her tongue and looked at her.

"Sirius Black."

Lily raised a brow, but a grin was growing on her lips. "Sirius?" She asked, her grin widening. Cassiopeia rolled her eyes but also had a grin. "Yes. And he's with your boyfriend too." Lily's smile disappeared in a snap as her cheeks turned pink. She glared at Cassiopeia , "James is not my boyfriend." It was Cassiopeia 's turn to raise an eyebrow, grinning like a child. Then she shrugged walking away from her, back to the hallway, opposite from where Sirius had gone. "Never said 'James' but okay, whatever you say." She said, leaning to Lily and giving her a knowing wink. Lily's face, from pink, turned red as she avoided eye contact.

Cassiopeia giggled at Lily as they continued to walk. "So, where to?" Cassiopeia then asked, after a good while of walking. "Um..." Lily started, clearing her throat. "How about Black lake. We haven't been there for a while now." And so to the Black Lake they went, sitting close to the lake, looking up to the sky. "That looks like a dog." Cassiopeia said, pointing at a cloud. "Oh yeah, it does." Lily agreed, giggling at the cloud. They continued to look for shapes in the clouds as they spoke.

"Do you like him?" Cassiopeia was caught off guard. She turned to Lily.

"Who?"

"You know, Sirius."

Cassiopeia chuckled and then shook her head. "Oh please." She started. "I barely know the guy." "And this tailing game his playing is pissing me off already. " She said, her nose wrinkling from the pollen. "He is charming though, I see why every girl likes him." Cassiopeia added.

Lily turned to her friend, raising a brow as a smile grew on her lips. "You think he's charming?" There was a growing tease in her lips, but Cassiopeia knew this was coming. "You think he's not?" She mimicked the raised brow of Lily, eyeing her up and down. Lily looked disgusted, shaking her head violently and saying, "I don't like him like that!" Cassiopeia giggled. "I didn't mean it like that! I meant he is charming. That's about it. I know you feel the same way." Cassiopeia cleared, and though mumbling because she was right, Lily did not say anything anymore about it for a while.

Lily then turned to her side to look at Cassiopeia . "No, but what if? Just what if he does like you? What would you do?" Cassiopeia furrowed his brows. "I'm telling Lily, it's impossible. Drop it." She said, "I mean Sirius isn't that bad. He can be a little bit much."

"Oh ye?" Cassiopeia asked sarcastically, knowing well enough about his title as the 'heartbreaker'. Then again, every girl who did try to date him always said 'I can change him' or some ahit like that, total bullocks if you ask Cassiopeia .

Lily sighed, chuckling softly, "It's really hard to defend the arse!" Cassiopeia laughed along with her. "Look, I know he's not all looks. He wouldn't have reached it till this far if so. But you know well enough to be aware of his looks. Got every girl to remind that." Cassiopeia now turned to face Lily. Then, she shook her head, "Besides, what's the point of you telling me this?" She asked. Lily sighed, "It's just that, I don't know, truly I find Sirius better than any of the boys you've been with." Cassiopeia laughed and flopped back to her back. "What?! Look, I have never dated anyone. I've talked to them sure, but I would never say yes to an idiot." She said, waving her hand around, drawing in the sky. "Sirius always said the same thing about dating." Lily said, rolling her eyes. Cassiopeia shook her head, "Good for him then." She answers, wanting already to end the topic about Sirius, finding no meaning behind them

Lily flopped back to her back, looking back at the sky. "Well, Sirius isn't an idiot, I can tell you that now."

Cassiopeia sighed. Thinking of a way to truly end it, she turned to Lily again, grinning. Then she laughed loudly as she shook her head and said,

"Yeah, so is James."
