Wrapped Around Her Fingers

 4.Wrapped Around Her Fingers

"Okay, so what's with this following her around about?" James asked, the fire in the fireplace reflecting on his spectacles.

"Yeah, it's weird seeing you be the one to tail around a girl. Not saying it's bad, but weird." Peter jokingly added and Remus chuckled. Sirius mocked their laughter, and leaned backwards, pressing his palms onto the floor for support. "Look, I've had my eyes on her for a year now." He started. "Didn't look like it." Remus taunted, and once more, the boys laughed softly, remembering the number of girls Sirius had been with last year. Sirius laughed along with them this time, "Hey, I said I had my eyes on her, she hadn't really caught my full attention then." All of them shrugged, waiting for him to continue. "Although now, she's got me wrapped up around her fingers." He said, trying his best to make his eyes turn into hearts. "With enough time, she'll be convinced about it, and well, who wouldn't want me." James, Remus, and Peter groaned, shaking their heads to their friends' usual smugness.

Not that he was not wrong. He had proven to have every girl he wanted if he wanted them enough, but hearing how confident he was about Cassiopeia still proved to be a big statement. Remus sure as hell is certain of that. He was not close to her, never was. Only time he got to speak to Cassiopeia was during their potions and divination classes. They would giggle about some of their lessons, especially in divination. She was smart and pretty, and he had heard from Lily that she has the same amount of boys on her back as girls on Sirius. So, even with Sirius's heaven sent looks (according to him that is), he was an option to Cassiopeia .

But Remus kept quiet. Maybe it was time for his friend to learn that he definitely cannot get everything he wanted, in terms of ladies. Maybe Cassiopeia would be the one to show him that.

A week had passed, and the situation had not changed. Sirius stayed glued by her side and people started to notice. Rumors had started to roam around Cassiopeia and Sirius dating, and though Cassiopeia had denied everything about it, shaking her head when asked, and telling jealous girls that 'they could shove him up their throats for all she cares', Sirius on the other hand never said anything about it. He only smiled slyly when asked, shrugging and winking.

"You really aren't going to talk to me, are you?" A soft, low voice said. In her peripheral view, Lema could see a blurry figure of Sirius, leaning down to her height to look at her as they walked. She stayed quiet, keeping her face stone cold. "Come on, darling—" His coos was interrupted when Cassiopeia looked at him with furrowed brows and wide eyes. "What the fuck do you want Black?" Sirius grinned, and moved closer to her. Cassiopeia felt herself wanting to push him away, but stood her ground. She did not want to let him think even for a moment that he was having his way with this. She then felt the warm breath on her neck, the minty-wood scent lingering on her nose.

 "You."

Cassiopeia rolled her eyes. Oh the sweet talk. If she had not heard this from every man who had kneeled in front of her, she would actually believe the bullshit she was hearing. So, challenging his remark, Cassiopeia looked straight into his gray stormy eyes. Their faces were only a centimeter away from each other, but Sirius was stunned with what she did next. Their lips locked with each other. Cassiopeia had leaned in for a kiss.

Sirius's mind whirled. He could taste the sweet, minty flavor on her tongue. His nose was filled with the fresh scents of lavender and roses, her soft hands traced his collarbone as she played with his tie, sending unwanted, but lingering shivers down his spine, his entire body going warm from her soft fingertips drawing the details of his bone structure. But before everything could sink in, she pulled away.

Cassiopeia met a stunned looking Sirius. She scoffs, a grin forming in her lips, she tip-toed, leaning closer to his ears . "Always thought you'd be a better kisser." She whispers, settling back to standing flat. Her grin disappears, as it becomes a glare, "You better stop this nonsense now, Black. I gave you what you wanted." She said, and with that she turned and walked away. Leaving Sirius to fully comprehend what the fuck just happened
