+ Okay, so I did delete the first drafts that I posted, and I'm sorry for that, I am still trying to figure out how to actually post in an organized manner and it proves to be difficult. I'm so sorry for the delays and confusion. TT
1. JAWS & FANGS
Fifth year at hogwarts.
"This is nice." Cassiopeia said, looking around Kings Cross, seeing the obvious first years.
"Back at it." She exhaled, facing her parents. "Well, got to go then, I am prefect, I need to check around. " Her mom nods, giving her a long hug. They said their goodbyes and the train had finally moved.
Cassiopeia had found herself wandering through the hallway, searching for empty compartments. She found one in a minute, with two other girls, thankfully, they let her stay. After fixing her things, she went out again. Meeting with the other prefects. She was tasked to look around thankfully, close to her own compartment, checking if there were trouble and to help the first years. As the Cassiopeia did her role, with her countering a misused spell a first year had done, sending their things in a small whirling tornado; one whose nose had gone purple because of a wrong spell again; and the simplest yet most tiring job of all, trying to get the old ones return to their compartment instead of running around. She gave a heavy sigh, feeling tired already when they have yet to arrive at Hogwarts.
She took it to herself to take a small rest and change to her robes already. Upon reaching her compartment she had found that the curtains were closed by the door, the girls were changing too. Cassiopeia leaned onto the door, waiting for the others to finish changing in the compartment. Then she saw a pair of shoes crossed in front of her. She raised her head and found a rather handsome young man, his black hair clipped behind his ear. He had already worn their robes, his tie red and gold, Gryffindor. He was smiling at her rather seductively, to which Cassiopeia found amusing, finding herself grinning at him.
"Hello there, love." The boy said but Cassiopeia pressed her lips to a thin line and shook her head, mouthing 'no'. The boy chuckled at this leaning on an open door frame. "Sirius Black." He introduced himself by stretching a hand. Cassiopeia looked at it for a while, thinking if she should accept the hand. He seemed cocky, not quite something Cassiopeia wanted to be around with, but he was charming too....fine. "Cassiopeia Segin." She accepted the hand and she felt Sirius squeeze her hand rather endearingly, giving her a wink. She could not help but scoff. Two can play the game. "You might as well kiss me, than stare like that, winking and wriggling your brows." Cassiopeia dared, eyeing him up and down. Sirius seemed shocked. He clearly did not expect Cassiopeia to be so forward. But before he could answer, a voice echoed through the hallway. "Padfoot! There you are, you stupid dog!" Sirius turned and so did Cassiopeia only to find a boy with glasses, his hair everywhere, yet it suited him.
That was her cue. Cassiopeia took her back off the door she was leaning on and was about to step away when an arm covered her path. Sirius had grinned as Cassiopeia stumbled backwards. "We're not done here yet Cassiopeia ." But Cassiopeia did not lose her composure. Instead she smiled and leaned close to Sirius's ear, giving a breathy whisper, "I'm Slytherin, Padfoot." She then moved away from his ears, their nose now touching. She could feel his warm breath, their lips only a hair apart. She could feel Sirius inching closer, "Your jaws could never take my fangs." She whispered, tracing his jawline with her finger, and then quickly moving away.
This made Sirius stumble forward. Cassiopeia smiled, returning the wink he had given her with her own, before finally entering her compartment that had just opened. The girls left exactly as Cassiopeia entered. Without looking back, though she could feel Sirius staring, she pulled the curtains close.
What a good start this school year
