Chapter 1 : One more adoption.

A baby lay at the doorstep of 4 Pivet Rd, Alone.

This was none other than Harry Potter, the boy who lived, The defeater of Lord Voldemort.

The door slowly opened as a woman with curls in her hair looked down at young Harry, “Who is this?” she asked, her voice gentle and soft, her expression slowly darkening as she read the letter that had been placed on Harry’s basket, “She just abandons her child onto me and expects me to keep it?!” She screeches as her husband slowly walks down the stairs, sleepy eyed and looking like he just wants to go back to sleep.

“What’s wrong, Petunia?” The man asks.

“My sister abandoned her baby at our doorstep, what do we do with it?” The woman, Petunia responds.

“I suggest we keep him, at least until he mucks up.”

“Agreed.” Petunia agrees, putting the basket inside, “Where should we put him, he can’t be taking up space here.”

“Just put him in the closet, Petunia.”

“Alright Vernon.” She says before almost throwing the basket inside the closet, closing and locking up the crying baby before heading back up the staircase.

.

..

Harry, now 7, sat in his room studying Chinese.

He couldn’t believe it! Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon were letting him go on a holiday to China! It seemed kind of rushed and it seemed that they just thought of the first place to go on a Vacation.

Maybe he did something wrong and they were going to take away the chance if he does something wrong again, he didn’t know what he did wrong! He was just really angry and the next second the windows all shattered, they made him go and get the glass, clean it up and buy new windows of course but they didn’t do too much! But… Then they just said that they were going to China on Vacation and that he was coming too.

He was already packed by that morning, they had about a month between his Guardians stating they were going to china and actually… Going to China, and due to the fact that Harry had been home schooled (Which was really just reading all the books he could get his hands on in the Library) left him a lot of time to learn the Chinese language.

he had to find the city they were going to so he could find the right type of the language - He had no idea about Languages and had to read up on that after he learned the city name- - his guardians had told him he was going to one of the largest in the country

Megapolis.

The day had finally come, he was as prepared as he could be! He had spent hours and days studying customs and other small things he should know! Apparently there were demons around that town… Why had his guardians chosen that place for a vacation while people eating demons were around stumped him.

But he was going on Vacation so he didn’t really mind it.

On the Airplane he was separated from his guardians, but that was fine!

He was perfectly happy sitting in Economy while his Uncle, Aunt and Cousin sat in First-class!

After all, maybe all the seats were booked up, Harry reasoned, he always made excuses for why his family treated him so terribly - Maybe they had a bad day - but those were all true - I must have done something wrong! - there was no other reason. They didn’t actually hate him to this point, right?

They made it out of the Airport, there were some problems with Harry’s luggage apparently being too heavy in a second weight test and wasn’t brought with them, which was fine, he could probably borrow Dudleys clothing!

His Guardian seemed.. Almost happy at the fact he had nothing, even denying the extra pay to bring it over, getting rid of all the things he owned forever. Harry knew it, they were going to sell all his things. He’d read about it before.

But that’s fine..For now. They were in China! He awed at the amazing sights around him as the taxi his guardians called drove to their hotel.

Stopping at a fancy, large building the group got out of the car and walked inside.

Hello! Welcome to ‘The Lotus Hotel’, Do you have a reservation?” The person at the counter asked, the Dursleys just stared at her in confusion.

“Sorry, they don’t know Chinese, do you speak english?” Harry asked

“Oh, Very sorry! Do you have a Reservation?” The person at the counter asked again

“Ah, yes. It’s under the name Dursley.” Petunia said with a sickly sweet tone

“Alright! That is room 304, here is your key!”

“Thank you.” Vernon said, before turning around to give Dudley the key he was given, “Dudley, head up to the room with mom, okay? I have something I need to do before I also head up.”

Dudley in turn nodded his head before heading toward the elevator.

“Boy, follow me.” Vernon’s sweet voice melted into a sickly tone, full of hate and disgust.

They walked out of the hotel, twisting and turning, going around in circles and heading off in random directions, Harry was smart. But he had no clue where they were going or how they were going to get back, he had lost the directions he had made to get back in his head when a hoverboard had nearly taken off their heads,

Did you see that, HOVERBOARDS! Harry was ecstatic and maybe a bit scared, completely forgetting about directions in turn for aweing at the architecture, also completely missing how Vernon had left him to wander off a while ago.

He turned to point something out, hoping that he might just once, get a warm smile and a thank you, only to see no one there. He was alone, having stumbled into an alley, in a crowded street. And he was completely and utterly alone.

Harry looked up and down, running through crowds and streets, finally running out of energy in another alley - how many alleys did this city have - next to a Noodle Shop.

Maybe he was right, maybe they didn’t care for him..wait, they set this Vacation when he broke the windows.. Were they planning to have him eaten by man-eating demons?! Harry started to freak out again, he curled up next to a dumpster, he was going to die being eaten or starve to death.

A door opened from the other side of the dumpster, and out walked…A demon! It was a Pig demon, he was going to die much quicker than he expected. He screamed.

Pigsy was taking out the trash after closing up shop, it was a normal day though not many customers were there. Except for Tang, Tang was always there.

He could still remember his voice from when he first came in daily, ‘It is my duty as your Husband to be here to support you’ though he was pretty sure he just wanted free noodles.

He opened the door at the back, the door had been jamming lately, something he needed to fix later… Or get mei to fix it later, he wasn’t a technician, he was a cook, sue him.

All he expected from this normal day was to maybe get locked out, not a screaming child… He looked like he was, oh he couldn’t tell, he looked like he was 5. But he still looked way too small to even be a 5 year old.

“Kid, I’m not going to hurt you!”

The kid was crying, “Y-You aren’t going to eat m-me?” he stuttered out between sniffles and sobs, He could tell the boy was British.

“Oh, goodness, no. I would never.” He looked at the clearly malnourished boy, “Why don’t you come inside and get something to eat? I’m Pigsy, the owner of the Noodle Shop here.” he reached out his arm to help him up.

The boy stared at him for a long time before slowly nodding and grabbing his arm, wobbling when Pigsy pulled him up. He was so light and fragile that he thought he might have snapped something just from the pull.

Thankfully the boy seemed less afraid than cautious. Leading him to the front - The door had indeed jammed again - he let the boy step inside, he had to get him some food at least.

“Hey, Buddy. Can you go sit up at the counter stools? Mr. Tang here won’t harm you.” he asked the boy who had been using Pigsy as a cane.

He looked so sickly and Pale, like he was about to pass out. The boy looked at him with worried eyes.

“I am just going to get you something to eat.” Pigsy said with the warmest smile he could muster, the child stared at him with awe, as if he’d never seen such a smile. And with that Pigsys concern grew 3 times larger than it had earlier.

He slowly walked over toward the bar stool, having some trouble getting up before finally being able to sit him, looking uncomfortable.

Pigsy, in the kitchen, could hear Tang’s voice loudly chatting to who he presumed to be the boy.

When he walked out he could see Harry looking a lot more comfortable, swinging his feet back and forth as he listened to Tang’s stories.

“Here you go, Kid.” Pigsy said as he passed a bowl of noodles toward him, “And here, I know you would complain if I gave free noodles to someone else. Bloody freeloader..” he said as he placed down a bowl in front of Tang

“You dare call the love of your life that?” Tang dramatically said, “How dare! And I thought I told you to not pick random kids up off the street.”

“Sigh, you did say that.” Pigsy recalled the only time that he ever got lectured by Tang was the day after he brought MK in.. he was incredibly mad he couldn’t meet him on his first night.

“Do you even know his name?” Tang questioned.

“No, he hasn’t said anything since I found him.” Pigsy said, “Can you tell us your name, Kid?”

He shaked his head.

“Maybe you can write it down?” Tang suggested

Harry didn’t know how to write in Chinese yet, he was barely fluent and still couldn’t properly grasp harder words.

Maybe they knew English? He really didn’t want to talk.

Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon always hated when he spoke out, the cupboard and no food for a week, and Pigsy and tang were so kind.. What if they turned on him when he spoke?

Thankfully he had a small sketch book that he had saved up for by finding coins on the path.

He wrote down his name, it was very rushed and looked more like chicken scratch than anything.

“Tang, you can read English, right? What does that say?” The Demon, Pigsy asked.

“Harry.” Tang says after looking at the page as if it was an ancient language that he had to decipher.

“Harry, huh? Do you have anywhere to go?”

Harry thought back to the Hotel, the Lotus Hotel. The Dursleys were probably trying to get rid of him, he knew that they were. But maybe he just wandered off and Vernon was trying to find him?

Stop thinking such hopeful thoughts.

Harry shook his head.

“How about you stay here then?” Pigsy suggested, “Where could we put you..?”

“Hmm… I’m not supposed to say this but MK and I got you a bunk bed for your birthday to put in his room for this very reason, we were pretty sure you would pick a kid off the street sometime, never thought it’d be so soon though.” Tang said.

“Oh course you would.” Pigsy sighed

Someone with spiky black hair walked out of the kitchen, “I thought we were keeping it a secret, Tang!”

“Sorry MK, but you wouldn’t want your new brother sleeping on the floor, now would you?”

“He hasn’t even agreed to the offer!” Pigsy said, annoyed.

Everyone’s attention turned to Harry as he had seemed to try to make himself smaller in the stool.

“So, Harry. Would you like to stay with us for the time being?” Pigsy asked

They seemed… really nice, and maybe they were! Harry felt hope bubbling up in his stomach, but this time he didn’t let anything stop it, he nodded his head enthusiastically.

“New brother! This might have been one of the best days ever!” The boy, MK, yelled happily.

“You guys could totally pass as actual brothers.” Tang said, looking between the two boys.

“Well, we better get to work if we want this bed done by bed time!” MK said.

The group walked into the kitchen and then up the stairs toward what only Harry could assume was MK’s room, Bowls of noodles left behind.
