Panic rose in Andromeda’s throat like bile. She didn’t know what she would do if her sister turned her away.
Lily was long gone, Ted was dead, just like her daughter- her sweet Nymphadora was gone. She banged rapidly on the door, screaming for her sister to open the door. A tired-looking Narcissa answered her prayers.
“I’m sorry to barge in like this, but Cissy, I need somewhere to stay. I can’t keep living in that house.” Tears ran down Andromeda’s face, blending in with the rain that had drenched her coat and hair. For a long moment, Narcissa had just stared at her, and Andromeda had been sure that her sister would tell her to get lost.
Eyes soft with pity, Narcissa stepped to the side and beckoned Andromeda in.
