I laugh like me again (She laughs like you)

Pandora's in the kitchen when she hears it. A loud crash that has her rushing out into the living room. Once there she finds Luna, her three year old daughter, covered in dirt with a broken pot next to her.

The sight reminds her of something. Someone, really. Someone she wanted to forget. Snapping herself out of that she puts on a smile.

"Luna" She said causing the girl to look up with a smile at the sight of her mother. She gets up to waddle over to her, Pandora meeting her half way as she almost falls. "What are you doing, Lovely" She asks, while Luna giggles at the name.

"Flower was pretty" She said in response, "I wanted it but it fell" Luna's smile falters, her eyes watering as she points over seeing that the flower was crushed in the fall. She burries her head in her mom's shoulder mumbling what sounds like an apology.

She nudges her nose at Luna's head until she looked up with a wobbling lip. She gives her a small smile as she waves her hand causing all the pieces of the pot to go back together. Luna's eyes widen with awe even though she's seen her mother do that many times before.

"We can get another flower from the garden after you take a bath, ok?" Once she gets an enthusiastic nod Pandora props Luna up higher on her hip walking to the bathroom.

Pandora set her daughter on the counter before turning on the tub. She turns back to her daughter once it's filled. "Bubbles?" She asked, getting a fast nod in response. She quickly undressed her, putting her clothes into the hamper then setting her down in the tub. Pandora grabs the soap pouring a little into the tub mixing it with her hands.

While Luna plays in the water she thinks back to earlier. When she first saw Luna. It made her think of when she was younger.

Pandora was 8. Evan was 7. They were both playing outside. Pandora was trying to get a yellow butterfly to land on her, while Evan was chasing a squirrel. Pandora slowly walked up to the tree the butterfly was near holding her hand out gently. She almost had it when suddenly she was roughly shoves into the ground.

The butterfly flew off away and Pandora looked over at he brother. He gave a small smile as she glared standing up to wipe off her dress. She looks over before sighing and helping him up.

"What are you doing" She asked once she made sure he was okay, "we both could've have gotten seriously hurt". Evan's lip started to wobble as tears gathered in his eyes.

"I didn't mean too" he murmured quietly, looking up at her. He didn't want to make her mad and he wasn't trying to hurt her. He was chasing the when he noticed a really pretty flower and he was about to grab it when he ran into Pandora.

She looked at him and knew there was no way she could stay mad. Smiling over, she offered him her hand. "Let's go inside. You need a shower". Evan smiled, taking her hand and walking inside.

Pandora snapped back when she felt water splash her. Looking down she see's Luna trying (and failing) to hold back a laugh. Pandora smiles slyly, sticking her hand into the water to splash her back. She's not even trying to hide the laughter now.

She finally stops laughing when Pandora goes to grab her. Instead just smiling. She wraps Luna in a towel then props her up onto her hip. After pulling the plug she shuts of the light and walks out of the bathroom.

Setting Luna on her bed, Pandora walks over to her dresser. She pulls out a skirt, and two pairs of pants. Then she pulls out three shirts and a jumpsuit. Walking back over to her daughter she puts the clothes in front of her waiting for her to pick.

Luna looks them over before picking the dark blue jumpsuit her mom picked out. Pandora nose putting the other clothes away for to wear some other time. She then help Luna get dressed.

"Flower!" Screams Luna once she's ready to go outside, looking back at her mom to see if she is following. Once she see's that she is she continues to walk outside.

The sun is shining brightly in the sky causing Pandora to shield her eyes as her daughter looks for a flower. Pandora takes this time to actually look over their garden. She smiles as she see's daisies (they were her second favorite) and her smile widens slightly at the sight of a yellow butterfly fluttering above them. She was about to walk over (maybe she could catch it this time) when Luna runs back in front of her holding a red marigold.

"Here, mamma" she said shyly, motioning for Pandora to bend down. When she did Luna placed it behind her ear, pulling back and smiling at her work. And for the third time today Pandora compares her to her brother.

Pandora heard a knock on her as she was getting ready for bed. "Come in" She called assuming it was her parents. She turned to the the door when it opened and was surprised to see Evan. Pandora was about to ask what he wanted when he slowly stepped forward.

He looked with a small smile. "Here, Panda" he said reaching out to tuck something behind her ear. With that he left her room without even letting her ask. Confused she reaches up pulling out what ever Evan put. She looks down to see the beautiful flower he was distracted by.

Pandora knew Evan wasn't allowed back outside after his shower, so she has no idea how he got it but she will cherish it forever. Since that day marigolds have been her favorite. Especially the red ones

Pandora blinks back into reality, giving her daughter a sad smile before pulling her into her arms. She holds onto Luna tight, desperately wishing Evan was here to see just how her daughter is.

Tears made there way to her eyes even as she tried to force them down. Her brother barely got to know Luna. She wished she could tell him one thing. Just one.
