Avelit (hazbin/helluva)
Avelit (ah-veh-lit) is an owl angel with pure white feathers on most of her body, and tan feathers lining and speckled around her eyes.
Her beak and talons are an obsidian black and she keeps them quite sharp.
The feathers on her head are a bit fluffy, and flare up and slightly away from her face. She has long tail feathers that group together, looking oddly like a sort of half flower and almost touching the ground.
Unlike Stolas, her arms are more like wings in their shape and structure, but without any flight feathers. She does not have claws and her hands blend seamlessly with the rest of her arms, completely covered in feathers. Think of it as looking kind of like the wings of a rito from legend of Zelda.
As for actual wings, she has six. Two large pairs and a smaller pair in between them. They’re white just like the rest of her, but with the sporadic dusting of small tan spots that almost look like they glow.
She has nineteen eyes in her normal form and usually keeps a couple of them closed most of the time. There are three eyes on her head, with one large one in the center and two smaller ones angled below and to the sides of it. She has eight eyes on each wing.
When she first formed, somehow, there was something wrong with her. She couldn’t speak. It irritated her throat to make any kind of sounds and it took a long time for her to be able to talk beyond short chirps and trills that conveyed her meaning. Even now though, she can’t speak above a certain volume without falling into a coughing fit. Never has she been able to sing, and that often caused other angels to view her a bit differently.
She is the librarian and caretaker of a nigh on infinite library in Heaven with a collection of every literary work made by human, angel, and even sometimes demon hands. Her library holds everything from family grimoires from dead lines, to tomes of science, and even the most trashy romance novels to ever grace existence. She organizes and takes care of everything there, constantly doing upkeep and improving that system of organization. She might be one of the most magically inclined angels in heaven simply due to the sheer amount of magic she’s read about and studied in her spare time and while working.
Anyone is welcome to visit her library and read her books, but to take one from her domain requires special permission that few receive. All of the works are charmed as soon as they come into her possession so she will be alerted to any attempted thefts. Most residents of heaven leave her be and show her a healthy amount of respect, but every now and then she’ll get a visitor who has either forgotten, or has never been informed of her power and think that they’re entitled to her time. It safe to say that she corrects them.
Her personality is generally calm, if a bit blunt. If someone is annoying her, she’ll never yell at them(they’re not worth hurting her voice over), but she will clearly and concisely tell them why their behavior and/or reason for bothering her is offending and inane. That will be their only warning and if they continue on, she will either remove them from her presence or leave. If they get aggressive with her, then, depending on how irritating they’ve been, she’ll either A. Just fling them out of her sight using one of her abilities. B. Trap them in a small pocket dimension for a time out like the child they’re being. Or C. Give them a beating to remind them that they are in fact lesser than her.
Somehow, I really want her to meet and befriend Stolas. Eventually after many years of them knowing each other and getting closer as friends, he would one day consider her in a different light and come to the realization that she’s one of the people he’s most close to. That he feels content and stable with her in way that no one else has ever let him feel. He will be unable to see her in the exact same way as he did before, and will start to subtly flirt, not even fully realizing he’s doing it at all.
Avelit will eventually notice that he’s acting a little differently towards her than he used to, and after a bit, will realize that he’s showing interest. This will lead her to consider him in turn, and decide that ‘what the heck’ might as well give it a shot.
Their relationship will be warm and safe for the most part, comfortable and with mutual respect between them. Eventually though, the spark of romance between them will fizzle out after some amount of years and their relationship will return to platonicness, but not much else would change.
However. Before that relationship reverts, yep, you guessed it, she’s getting pregnant. Why? Because I fucking said so. Also, like, I just really want there to be an owl Nephalem. That’s it, that was literally the whole point of me making this character.
